Chapter 479: Absorb powers

"What is happening?" The hidden siren in Elliana’s women’s Vampire team, who was the reincarnation of the queen of the Siren, thought inside her head before standing from her place.

She placed her hand on her chest when she felt a slight burn, and her eyes immediately glowed.

This wasn’t good.

She immediately lifted her body and jumped on one of the trees before closing her eyes to feel where Elliana was.

As soon as she felt some other siren’s powers nearing Elliana, her body went into alert mode and she rushed towards the direction without thinking twice.

"Hey, where are you -" Sasha started, but the girl was long gone.

"They have stopped listening to us, seriously. I think the leader was right about them becoming wishful," Sasha groaned and looked at Natasha who brought the ointment for her to apply to her legs.

The siren didn’t stop.

She didn’t know what provoked Elliana to sing a song when she was sure the witches must’ve denied her the privilege, especially to sing with so much intensity, but she knew one thing. If she didn’t stop, chances of them finding her and her powers -

The siren stopped at some distance and looked towards the posh restaurant where Elliana was.

She quickly hid behind a pillar before looking around to find a peaceful place. Not being able to find any, she jumped onto the terrace of the building using some of her energy since she also needed to act like a vampire in this kingdom.

As soon as the siren reached the terrace, she closed her eyes and concentrated her energies on her focal point.

The scene in front of her, in her mind, nearly made her want to lose control.

What was this female siren thinking?! She wanted to growl, but she didn’t want to disturb her focus which might become problematic to gain again so soon.

The siren let her energy walk towards the female siren’s energies who were trying to choke Elliana’s throat from inside.

She was about to grab their hand to stop them from committing this grave sin when something unexpected happened.

"Hey, are you okay?" Dexter rushed towards Elliana when he saw her clenching her throat and her complexion turning pale.

"Stay. Right. There," Elliana looked at him with pleading eyes, and Dexter, who immediately thought it was related to her being a witch, stopped.

The others looked at Elliana, who stumbled back and leaned on the wall.

"Stay where you guys are. Let me breathe. It will be okay," Elliana whispered through difficulty before she closed her eyes, letting Circe take control for some seconds.

Since her eyes were closed, no one would be able to see her eyes changing colors, and it was an added benefit to her.

’You want to choke us?’ Circe immediately took over Elliana’s energy form, and the glow that was white earlier started to turn a different color. It started to turn Blue before going to a darker version of it, nearly black.

In the forest where Hera was sitting with Artemis and Marianna holding her hand, felt her body trembling when her energies heard the dark voice full of malice.

Hera’s brows knitted when she felt another siren’s presence, and she was about to turn around to see who it was when Circe held her energy statue’s neck making Hera gasp again before she leaned back, her body being thrown off guard.

’Who do you think you are to touch her? She was having her moment while singing. How dare you spoil it for her? You dare to touch her energies, her soul, you fool,’ Circe tightened their hold on Hera’s energies’ neck, and the siren who was watching all this, didn’t know what to do at the moment.

There was no doubt that Circe was getting angry, and without her powers, even the siren was nothing more than a mosquito that Circe would swat away in a second.

She was worried about these sirens hurting Elliana by playing their dirty tricks to leave an imprint on her energy, but who would’ve thought that the situation would turn around like this?

"Hera!" Artemis shouted when he saw blood dripping from Hera’s nose.

His lover was clearly struggling, and he felt bad for it.

"I told you this wasn’t a good idea the moment she coughed!" Marianna shrieked as she tried to free her hand from Hera’s hands, but the hold was so tight that it almost felt like it wasn’t Hera who was holding her hand, but some divine power that they were not any match for.

But how was this possible?

Didn’t Cleopatra say that the Siren’s powers were locked inside a human? How can a human have that kind of presence and power to take down over three medium-level sirens?

"Hera, snap out of it!!" Artemis tried to cup the girl’s face with his free hand but her body felt like it was burning, and the moment he placed his hand on her cheeks, he jerked it away in pain.

’You wanted to choke her, right?’ Circe asked Hera’s energies, who were struggling under these weird power’s hold.

’Would you like to see what happens to naughty girls who can’t leave my human alone? I mean, it would be a bit shameful if I didn’t give you an imprint that you can remember for the rest of your life, no?’ Circe asked the energies.

"Is everything okay, Circe? Why are you not saying anything?" Elliana gasped, breathing properly since her throat was freed.

She didn’t want to open her eyes until Circe told her everything was under control, alas she scared everyone with her changed eyes color.

"Everything is fine, Elli. Just two minutes, please," Circe said in the softest tone she could muster as if they weren’t the same powers that were threatening someone’s life side by side.

"Okay, do it fast," Elliana sighed and kept standing there.

"Elliana, are you sure -"

"Just let me stand here for five minutes. I am fine I promise," Elliana whispered, and everyone respected her choice.

Meanwhile, Circe went back to looking at Hera’s energies.

’You were a stupid fool if you thought you would come, imprint my human, and I would let it happen like some powerless bitch powers. Now one mistake from your side will cause so much damage to all your friends. How poor,’ Circe grinned evilly before a chuckle reverberated from the bottom of their hearts.

Circe leaned forward and whispered near the energy silhouette.

"Absorbieren," she said, their hollow eyes scaring the wits out of the female siren who immediately screamed.

"Aaaaaaaaa!" Hera screamed loudly, blood seeping out of her ears now, and Artemis cursed out loud.

"F*ck! F*ck! F*ck!" Artemis cursed out loud when he understood what was happening.

"Marianna, try to get your hands free! She is absorbing our energies!" Artemis shouted, and Marianna’s eyes widened when she felt her fingers turning pale.

"No, no, no, no, this can’t happen. I won’t allow it. I haven’t even met my other half. You...she can’t do this with me!" Marianna cried as she tried her best to free her hand from Hera’s hand, but when nothing worked no matter how hard she tried, Marianna clenched her jaws and thought of a thing that could do it.

More than half of her energies were already gone. She needed to make this decision fast.

Marianna shook her head in helplessness before she pulled a dagger from her pocket, ready to cut Hera’s hand.

When Artemis noticed what the girl was doing, his eyes widened in disbelief.

"Marianna!" Artemis shouted.

"What?! It’s far better than dying, Artemis!" Marianna raised her hand in the air to cut Hera’s hand.
