The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 478: Leave an imprint

Chapter 478: Leave an imprint

"Damn it!" Sebastian kicked the chair of his regional office before he leaned on his table and looked at Harry, who was standing in the corner with his head bowed in respect.

He didn’t want to do anything to attract his Prince’s anger towards him.

"What happened?" Lucas rushed inside the room to see what exactly happened and looked at his prince who was seething for some reason unknown to him.

"What’s wrong, sir?" Lucas asked cautiously.

Sebastian groaned and placed his elbows on the table, covering his mask behind his hands.

"I miss her," The prince said.

Lucas - "..." And that reason was enough for you to kick a chair and alert someone? You met her yesterday night, didn’t you?

The subordinate turned to Harry, who shrugged softly ensuring the little movement was not noticed by the prince who might become angrier.

"You will be seeing her in the evening. If you want to impress her so much and ease the pain that you are going to cause her, buy her some good things that show your sincerity," Lucas looked at his prince before walking out, wondering why the hell his prince thought marrying Brooklyn was a good plan when he was obviously obsessed with his human wife.

No matter what he said about her being useless to him now, the fact that he was used to her wasn’t something he would be able to ignore.

In fact, Lucas didn’t know why but from how much he had judged that girl, she could bear everything but betrayal, and there was a high possibility that she would leave their prince and his so-called propositions.

Lucas sighed.

It was good for his prince either way. He needed to see that materialistic things like crowns and power can never win against relationships.

A smirk appeared on the subordinate’s lips as he imagined his prince groveling in front of his princess, begging for her to come back to him.

"Hehehe," he snickered, making the other subordinates around him look at him warily.

"You are strangely happy today," Ambrose raised his brows.

He could see Lucas had been acting weirdly since last night.

First, he lost his cool on the Prince which clearly meant he was against something that the prince was doing because it wasn’t good for the prince or someone close to him, then he didn’t say anything when he reported what Princess did and fled from the area, then he acted like what Princess was doing was good, and now these maniacal smiles.

"Of course, I am happy. My prince will get crowned tomorrow. Something that always belonged to him," Lucas said, and everyone nodded at him, smiling and talking among each other about how great it was.

It wasn’t just about the prince.

Even their status would increase in the nation. From being the guards of the monster, they would be promoted to being the guards of the King. It was a happy moment for everyone.

Meanwhile, Hera, Marianna, and Artemis who had been trying their best to find the human who got their queen’s powers, stopped when they heard a siren singing in the vampire Kingdom.

"Hey, did you hear that? It’s a siren’s voice. There’s no way I can miss the vibrations I am feeling. They... they are very powerful too," Hera whispered to Artemis, saying the siren word as softly as she could and Artemis looked at Marianna excitedly.

Did they really find the person they have been looking for for so long, risking their lives and whatnot?

However, his smile soon disappeared when something else registered in his mind. Their task wasn’t over.

"How will we find this person? Your range to hear a siren’s song is ten kilometers, Hera. What if we miss the opportunity? We can’t even spread in different directions and try to find this human among all these vampires whose scents are aching our noses," Artemis commented.

Marianna looked at how his gaze was flickering to Hera again and again.

He was clearly worried about her more since she was the most sensitive among the three of them and she sighed.

How much she wished to have a relationship like that. She looked around, observing their surroundings when her gaze fell on the small stall of fast food in front of them.

She noticed how one of the vampires was choking on the food they ate and an idea immediately struck her mind.

"How about we block her voice with our energy and leave an imprint? Cleopatra said we can do that if the siren powers are near us by channeling ourselves to the power and showing our respect to it," Marianna looked at Artemis with hope.

Among the three of them, Hera was the only one capable of doing that. Though she was the weakest link in their clan and group, it was all because her powers were extremely sensitive, and acted like a hidden spy.

"Will you be able to do it?" Artemis asked Hera a bit hesitantly. She looked at her hands that glowed softly, making her clench them shut.

Will she be able to do it? She didn’t know.

This wasn’t some random siren they were talking about. It was the ultimate Siren who ruled the Siren world because of her special ancestral powers.

"I can try, but for that, we need to be in some secluded place first. Any- " Hera paused and looked into Artemis’s eyes.

"Anything can happen," Hera whispered, and Artemis immediately understood the underlying meaning behind her words.

He stepped ahead and held Hera’s hand before kissing the back of it.

"Nothing will happen to you. I have high hopes in you and my love for you," Artemis kissed her forehead before they walked to the forests at some distance.

Once they ensured they were away from crowded civilization and a bit closer to the human who was singing and making her siren powers glow (according to Hera), Artemis dusted clean a large rock and motioned Hera to sit there.

He sat on his foot in front of her and looked at Marianna who immediately copied his stance.

"We will channel our energies into you. Don’t worry. Go ahead," Artemis whispered to Hear who looked at Marianna, who smiled at her in assurance, making the girl nod.

Hera closed her eyes and concentrated her entire energy at one point in the middle of her forehead before she spread it in her body, focusing on hearing from where the sound was coming.

Luckily, the girl was still singing, making it easier for them to do their work.

It wasn’t long before Hera finally found the place. It was all blurry because of her diminishing powers, and she gasped when the first wave of side effects of doing this out of their prime zone hit her, making Artemis tighten his hold on her hand.

He wanted to tell her ’she can do it’, but even a little disturbance in sound energy was enough to spoil everything for them, and thus, he kept quiet.

Hera’s brows knitted close when she felt the presence of so many powerful vampires around, making it hard for her to execute her block.

She tightened her lips and clenched her jaws shut as slight uneasiness appeared in her own throat while looking at the girl’s energy vibes.

Because she was only trying to find the girl through the energy, the only thing she could make out of that girl was a tall white glowing energy standing in the middle of the room.

She has never seen a human glow with this kind of purity.

Hera coughed slightly.

Marianna turned her head towards Artemis in a clear warning, but Artemis shook his head at her. They can’t stop after coming this far.

Hera tried harder to block the girl’s voice, a soft smile appearing on her lips when she was starting to succeed.

She tried to grab Elliana’s throat with the help of her energies so she could leave an imprint of her energy on the girl who had the siren powers.

Just a few more seconds and nothing would be able to stop them from finding this girl.

Hera smiled triumphantly. This time she won’t let the girl go.
