Chapter 47: Who are you?

"Mr. Dexter! Where are you taking me?" Elliana squealed, and Dexter looked down at her as he continued running and jumping on the trees, using his ability to hide his tracks.

"Where do you think I am taking you, beautiful?" Dexter asked, and Elliana bit her lips as she closed her eyes, the strong wind making her eyes itch.

She can’t help but find it funny how she always ends up in the arms of vampires because they think traveling through their vampire speed is easy.

Elliana’s heart was drumming fast in her chest because of the adrenaline rush, and she realized this was what Samantha must’ve been feeling after sitting behind her.

After what felt like an eternity but was twenty minutes, he finally stopped below the hill near what looked like a farmhouse.

"This is my escape from the world. You are welcome to enter. This is the first time I am bringing someone here. Don’t you feel lucky?" Dexter asked, and Elliana looked around with wide eyes.

Though the farmhouse looked shabby from the outside, it was nicely decorated from the inside. It had a vague homely feeling to it.

Elliana walked to the window from where the inside of the garage was visible, where different bikes were standing, and her brows raised.

"You have a nice collection," Elliana said before pressing her lips into a thin line. This shouldn’t be something she should be asking right now.

She should be focusing on the important matter at hand.

"Why did you bring me here? Or should I ask why you kidnap me here, Mr. Dexter?" Elliana asked, and Dexter poured her some juice before he plopped on the couch, patting the area beside him.

"Do you think I am stupid enough to sit beside a vampire who can hurt me easily?" Elliana asked, and Dexter looked at her, amused.

"Pretty girl, if I wanted to hurt you, I wouldn’t have waited for so long. You are getting my point?" Dexter said, and Elliana rolled her eyes before sitting on the sofa in front of him.

"Till when are you going to pretend?" Dexter asked, and Elliana looked at him unsurely, sipping the juice.

"I don’t know what you are talking about," she said, and he rolled his eyes.

"You clearly know what I am talking about, beautiful," he said before leaning his body forward, his eyes turning more intense.

"I don’t think so," Elliana said, and Dexter’s eyes changed before he lunged at her grabbing her neck in a tight grip, making her gasp as he pushed her down on the couch.

"I am in no mood to f*cking joke about anything anymore. Times up, beautiful," Dexter said before he bent, his fangs elongating.

Meanwhile, Alcinder, Daniel, Samantha and her friends, and Blue ran inside the forest to find where the minister’s son took Elliana.

It was becoming hard for Blue to keep running. Since all the vampire friends Elliana made in the past three days are influential and powerful, it won’t be hard for them to notice a spy running inside the forest along with them.

Even if she was a stop spy, looking for Miss Elliana when these vampires were running exactly in a place where she wanted to was becoming hard for her.

It was clearly mentioned to her that under no circumstances should her identity be revealed because the princess’s royalty and identity would be revealed, which would put her in even more danger since there are ample numbers of people who want to hurt the youngest prince and targeting the princess would be the easiest option for them.

Blue stopped abruptly when she saw Alcinder looking her way and hid behind the tree, her heart beating faster than usual.

It has been a long time since she was in a situation like this. Running amidst the royal guards and spying had been easier than these people because of their sharp senses.

Blue closed her eyes to control her breathing so that no one picked on her fast-drumming heart.

As she stood there, she couldn’t help but wonder why this was happening now. Everything was going alright, wasn’t it? The princess was living a mundane life like every other teenager.

It was only today she was asking her leader to get her out of there because this mission had no hope. She still thinks that it’s useless to blame the princess for anything. The allegations put on her so far have been completely useless.

From what she had seen, humans were her arch enemy instead. The people that the prince thought the princess would be plotting with were actually the ones who wanted to hurt her the most.

Blue took a deep breath before peeking from the tree to see if they left. She can’t believe she failed twice to protect the princess.

This time it couldn’t have been helped since no one expected the minister’s son to kidnap the princess just like that. He didn’t even know her, or did he?

Blue has heard of the minister’s son, and he doesn’t exactly have the best reputation among the sons and daughters of influential people.

He is intelligent, witty, and strong, but he does whatever comes to his mind, and until you are more powerful than him, you shouldn’t exactly mess with him.

She doesn’t even know what he must’ve wanted from the princess. Is it because he got offended since she didn’t tell him her name or shared her phone number with him?

Now that she thinks about it, who would’ve thought the princess knew to ride a bike and at this level? Blue actually had a hard time following the princess. She had never thought she would have to do bike racing to spy on the princess.

The way the princess moved her bike was beyond amazing.

It had been hard to keep up with her. Blue was the fourth runner-up in the race.

There was something extremely odd about the princess today. She was surprisingly full of charm and attitude.

The way she provoked Alcinder, got Samantha to sit behind her, rode that bike, won the first prize, and stood for herself in front of Dexter, the princess looked nothing like the person she always is.

Where was the sweet girl who couldn’t even look people in the eyes properly without getting shy and her heart racing?

Though the princess was quite daring, there was just so much she could do as a human.

Now look at the situation. The princess got kidnapped, and everyone is looking for her, praying that Dexter doesn’t do anything he might regret for the rest of his life. Blue sighed and was about to start running again when her phone vibrated with an incoming call.

She fished out her pockets for the phone, her heart thumping when she saw the prince’s private number.

She contemplated picking up the phone call. She doesn’t know what kind of punishment she would receive for the incident earlier. If the prince found out that the princess got kidnapped under her keen observation and that she went on bike racing, the prince wouldn’t take it easy.

He will rain havoc on her entire team because of her incompetency.

However, if he found out about it later from the princess or something happened to her, things would be even worse. Should she pick up the call and tell him everything, or should she find the princess whose life was at risk? Blue bit her lower lip, her hands trembling.

What if something indeed happens to the princess? Dexter was known for his rowdy behavior and getting what he always wanted. He might try to take out his anger on the princess because she rejected his approach in front of his friends.

"What are you looking behind you repeatedly for? We have to find her as soon as possible before something happens to her," Daniel said, and Alcinder hummed.

Was it just his Paranoia? He felt like someone was following them from the moment they exited the University. He had this feeling when they were buying clothes for Elliana and dined in that restaurant.

The feeling was gone for some time when they were into bike racing, but now the feeling is back, even stronger than before.

"I am sure he isn’t interested in finding her. He doesn’t like her guts and thinks she is infecting him anyway," Samantha commented, increasing her speed as they spread into the forest to look for the vampire who took away their new friend.

"I can’t believe he dared to take her away in front of us. Doesn’t he know what kind of consequence it can have? That ba*tard even used his skills to hide the traces of where he must’ve gone," Daniel asked, and Alcinder scoffed.

"What kind of consequence can he have? He is also the minister’s son. Do you think anyone would agree with punishing him severely at the expense of a human’s life? Don’t we know what kind of thinking our parents have? A human’s life is worthless until used for our benefit," Alcinder said, and Daniel thinned his lips.

As much as he hated what Alcinder said, in a way, he was speaking the truth.

"Let’s just concentrate on finding her, okay?" Daniel said, and they finally found the farmhouse after a few minutes.

"He could’ve taken her there," Samantha said, and they were about to go further when a gust of wind stopped them.

They paused and widened their eyes in shock. This gust of wind wasn’t a normal one. It carried the scent of a human’s blood, and Daniel’s eyes darkened.

"You guys stay here," Daniel looked at Dexter’s and Samantha’s friends.

They weren’t such strong vampires. Who knows what kind of condition they would find Elliana in? If she is terribly wounded and these vampires fail to control their urges, things will become uglier.

"Samantha, you stay here too," Alcinder said.

"I am coming. I don’t know what you think of me, but I have good control over my senses," Samantha said, and the three rushed to the farmhouse.

With a bang, they knocked the door open, and the sight that greeted them was beyond shocking.

Sitting in front of them was none other than Elliana, eating noodles like her life wasn’t in danger, and Dexter with an apron around his body as he bent towards her.
