"Are you sure about it?" Vincenzo asked when Elliana told him about her plans, and Elliana nodded.

"Trust me," Elliana whispered as she held his hand.

The plan was simple.

She would use her teleportation skills to teleport them to a remote area near the palace and they would walk to the palace.

When Sebastian would ask them why they were walking there, he could tell them that his car had some problems.

This way they will reach the palace quicker and would be able to save themselves from Sebastian’s wrath.

And for his questions regarding where she was, she had the answer in her hands.

"Let’s do it," Vincenzo took a deep breath, allowing Elliana to perform her magic.

Elliana closed her eyes and imagined the abandoned building near the market where no one would see them and wonder where they appeared from.

Once they reached the place, after checking that no one saw them, Elliana and Vincenzo walked to the palace.

Sebastian, who had interrogated the caretaker and was moving out of the palace to look for his wife, froze when he saw her near the gates.

He quickly patted Ambrose’s back, who stopped the car, making Sebastian step out of the car.

"Princess," Sebastian walked to her, his gaze meeting with her emerald amber ones that felt like they were glowing in the night.

"Where were you, damn it?" He placed his hand on her back and pulled her close, making her bump into his chest as he pressed her closer.

"Do you have any idea how scared I was that someone took you away from me? Why do you scare me like this, hmm?" Sebastian whispered.

Elliana wrapped her hands around his torso tightly, feeling at home.

He didn’t move for a couple of minutes, letting his beast and heart calm down, now that their wife was home.

"Where were you?" Sebastian pulled away just enough to look into her eyes.

His brows narrowed when he saw her puffy eyes which were a clear indication she was crying.

He looked at her soiled dress and his brows furrowed even more.

Before he could ask any further questions, Elliana started speaking.

"I went to bring a present for you," Elliana whispered softly, making Sebastian quirk his brows.

"A present?" He asked, and Elliana nodded shyly.

Vincenzo - "..." Look at this pro-girl, acting so shy and full of etiquette. He couldn’t believe her dual nature and how well she was able to adapt between them.

"Can we go inside and talk?" Elliana asked.

Sebastian looked into her eyes before he placed his forehead on hers, smelling her familiar scent.

"Of course, my love. Let’s go home," Sebastian said and Elliana’s heart skipped a beat at the mention of ’home’ that might not be her home after a couple of days.

He bent and picked her in his arms, walking inside the palace, not moving his gaze from her face even for a second.

Elliana didn’t waver her gaze either.

She raised her hand and touched his mask with the tips of her fingers before sighing.

It was sad how she wasn’t able to make him take off his mask despite all the emotions between them.

"Princess! You are here. Where did you go? We all were worried sick about you. Did something happen? Did someone kidnap you or something?" Lucas rushed inside the palace and looked at the princess, who was still in their prince’s hand.

Elliana looked at Lucas with a smile and was about to tell him nothing like that happened when Sebastian beat her to it.

"Mine!" Sebastian’s beast roared when Lucas held Elliana’s hand, pulling her close in a way that her face was hidden under his coat and Elliana suppressed the urge to chuckle at him.

Lucas, Vincenzo - "..."

"Sir, she is yours. No one is taking her away from you. I just wanted to know if someone hurt her so we could go and find that person and bring him or her to you and you can execute them with your bare hands," Lucas twisted his words.

Sebastian seemed to calm down at his words, making everyone sigh.

"Mr. Marino," Elliana’s words snapped Sebastian’s attention, and he looked down at her.

"We are already in the living room. You can put me down," she said.

"No. Mine," Sebastian tightened his hold on her, and Elliana sighed.

"Yours?" Elliana asked, amusement dancing in her eyes.

"Mine," Sebastian said again firmly.

"Put me down, Mr. Marino, or I will seriously do something that you will regret," Elliana warned him.

Sebastian scoffed.

"Is my kitten showing her whiskers to me?" Sebastian smirked when he saw her cheeks turning red and her looking away.

"Put me down while I am still asking you nicely," Elliana said.

Sebastian looked into her eyes before humming.

"You can ask me roughly too. The answer is the same," Sebastian grinned behind the mask.

Vincenzo looked at his brother who is deemed as the most dangerous in the entire nation, bickering with his wife over a thing as small as this, and didn’t know what to feel.

He looked at his subordinates and judging from their reactions, it looked like it wasn’t something new for them. They were used to their prince and princess bickering.

"Then I have no choice," she said, and without giving him a warning, she raised her head, pulled his collar to the side, and bit his neck.

Elliana’s eyes immediately darkened as her innocent playful biting started arousing her and she dug her teeth harder.

Sebastian hissed.

"Princess! Fuck!!" Sebastian grabbed a fistful of her hair and yanked her head backward softly, making Elliana lick the blood that dripped down her lower lip with a smile on her face.

Everyone looked at her shocked, Vincenzo’s reaction being the loudest as he nearly gasped at her.

Vincenzo couldn’t believe what he was seeing. This was the first time he saw Elliana being so rough.

Wasn’t she a dark witch? Why was she acting like a vampire? Or worse, demon?

Could it be that she was a mix-breed of all the species? Vincenzo shook his head at his own weird impossible thinking.

Lucas and other subordinates turned around to give them privacy, and Elliana’s shining amber eyes looked at the mark she left on Sebastian’s neck hungrily.

"I warned you," Elliana glared at him.

"And for some reason, you think this small bite will make me put you down? Do you know what it made me want to do to you?" Sebastian asked and he was about to dip his head to rub his face hidden behind the mask on her chest, knowing all too well no one would dare to look at them if they wanted to live when Vincenzo cleared his throat.

"Can you guys show some respect to the guests in the house?" Vincenzo asked.

Sebastian’s brows furrowed as he turned around and looked at his brother.

"Who invited you in?" He asked.

Vincenzo - "..."

"Be nice. He is the one who brought me here or I would’ve to walk all the way since my phone’s battery died," Elliana said, and Sebastian sighed.

"Who invited you in, dear brother?" Sebastian said, making Lucas press his lips into a thin line to control his smile while Vincenzo glared at him, and Elliana slapped his chest.

"Hey," Elliana scowled.

"What? You said to be nice. I am being nice," Sebastian scorned, and Elliana sighed.

"If this is your nice, then I guess I can learn a few things from you," Elliana said and jumped from his hand, making Sebastian immediately scowl hard as he picked her in his arms again.

"Don’t you dare jump from my hands again Not after you were gone for so long and made me worried sick about you. You have to compensate me for every minute of worrying," Sebastian said before he looked at his brother.

"Let me drop her to the room and we can talk after that," Sebastian said, making Vincenzo nod.

Sebastian’s gaze darkened when he saw his brother looking at his wife with a soft expression, and his jaws clenched before he used his vampire speed to take his princess out of everyone’s gaze.
