The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 463: Will you accept me?

Chapter 463: Will you accept me?

Elliana appeared directly in front of Sasha who was standing near the lake, making the girl stumble back in shock.

"What the -" Sasha nearly screamed, taking out her dagger that Elliana countered with her own dagger.

"Nice move. Be quicker next time," she said to her, while Glow looked at her wide-eyed.

She couldn’t believe what she saw. Did their human leader just appear out of the blue in front of them? Did their human leader just teleport herself like a witch?

Disbelief was written all over her face as she stepped back from the place, her hands trembling.

Though she couldn’t speak, her body language was a clear indication that she was in too much shock, and Elliana, who looked at her from the corner of her eyes, felt guilt overpowering her heart.

"Hey, Glow, this is me. Elliana, your bunny boss," Elliana extended her hand towards the mute girl whose eyes brimmed with tears of disbelief as she stepped back from Elliana, her lower lips whimpering.

Glow looked at Sasha as if asking whether what she saw was true or not.

"It’s true," Elliana whispered, answering her unasked question.

"Everything you saw just now is true, Glow. This is me. The real me," Elliana whispered before looking at her feet.

"I know you guys always thought I was human. Heck, I thought the same too, but recently I found out that I wasn’t. That I was special.

A dark witch, that’s what they call me. They call me evil," Elliana whispered, her throat clogging from all the stuck emotions, her mind taking her back to what those witches called her before she blinked her eyes to keep her tears at bay.

Right now wasn’t the time to think about that. She needed to win the trust of her girls first.

"Is that why you were staying away from us and barely meeting us?" Glow signed, making Elliana shake her head.

"That’s not true, Glow. Nothing can keep me away from you. I was doing it all for you guys because I didn’t want you guys to be exposed to danger by being known as mine.

There is something indeed bigger that you don’t know about me. You will know everything about me within two days. Till then, do I have your trust?" Elliana extended her hand ahead.

Glow gulped. It was too much for her to take in a couple of minutes.

"I..." Glow pointed at herself stepping away from Elliana.

"I will understand if you want to step away from me. This is not something that is easily accepted. I won’t hold you accountable for your decisions. You are free to walk out. In my heart, I will love you all the same as I always did," Elliana smiled, tears brimming her eyes when she saw Glow stepping away from her.

She didn’t expect anything much either. Elliana knew she would get this kind of reaction when she told her girls that she was a dark witch, the same species that was known as the most selfish witch in the world with evil practices, but the reaction still hurt her and she clenched her jaws.

Elliana closed her eyes when a few tears rolled down from her eyes, and she chuckled at her irony.

Was she really going to be all alone on this path?

Elliana closed her fist when none of them put their hands on hers and turned around.

"The file, is it ready?" She looked at Sasha, who barely nodded.

"This was your last mission with me. I wish you guys well. Don’t trust anyone easily. This world is full of people who would want to take advantage of you. Eat at time, and whenever you require money, you can ask me, despite your hatred and dislike towards me, and -" Elliana paused before taking a deep breath as she blinked her eyes furiously to keep her tears away, taking the file from their hand.

"I will always have your back. Love you," Elliana smiled with tears in her eyes before she turned around and took a deep breath again to control her emotions.

This was it. This was the start of her loneliness. Her girls have chosen to stay away from her and she respected their decision.

Once she moved out of the area, she fell on her knees, letting hot tears flow from her eyes freely.

’It’s hard. It hurts terribly. Was being a dark witch really that bad? Was my character not enough proof that despite my species I wasn’t evil? Or was it that just like those witches they always saw evil in me and now they have a valid reason to hate me? All the people I terribly care about are leaving me one by one,’ Elliana cried.

She stayed there for a couple of minutes before wiping her tears furiously. She needed to be back to Mr. Marino, or things would turn problematic.

Elliana walked to some distance until she heard a blaring horn and she stopped at the side.

"Get in the car," Vincenzo said, and Elliana nodded before sitting in the back seat of the car.

Vincenzo looked at her red eyes.

She was clearly crying before he arrived. He wanted to talk to her and ask what was going on. He had prepared a long list of questions on his way, but now looking at her expression, he didn’t know how to -

Bang!

The car jerked forward and hit the tree, making Vincenzo place his hand behind Elliana’s head to protect her from hitting her head on the window as he pulled her closer.

Elliana’s heart started thumping loudly at the sudden jerk in the car.

She did not have much time to react as the door of the car was practically pulled out from the outside, making Vincenzo pull Elliana towards himself.

However, the person grabbed Elliana’s hand, making her eyes meet with the familiar pair of browns as she looked into the eyes of the girl who was hiding her face behind a mask and a scent-hiding spray.

Her eyes were raging, a kind of frustration and anger that made Elliana sigh.

"Glow," Elliana whispered, and the vampire bent slightly before she picked Elliana up and jumped on the trees, making Vincenzo cuss out loudly.

"What the fuck?!" He roared, immediately stepping out of the car, but before he could follow the girl, someone grabbed his hand and he turned around to look at Sasha who shook her head at him.

He remembered her being the same girl that had come when Elliana had tested that poison and explained to him how much Elliana meant to them.

"Give her some time. Do you think anyone can kidnap our leader? She went there on her own," Sasha said, and Vincenzo clenched his jaws.

He didn’t know it was possible, but all his plans, his anger, and his royalty turned to ashes when it came to Elliana, and though it wasn’t something to be proud of, he didn’t really mind it.

And he hated the fact that he didn’t mind it. If it had been anyone else, he would’ve taught them a lesson long ago or cut off the connection from that person if it was an outsider.

He kicked a random tree in frustration, making it almost fall before he leaned on another tree, waiting for Elliana.

Meanwhile, Elliana looked at Glow, who looked back at her with raging eyes.

"Why have you brought me here? Do you want to blame me for everything? For your decision? For being a dark witch?" Elliana asked as she turned around, too irritated with herself, and Glow immediately hugged her from behind.

"I can’t lose you," Glow signed, but remembering that Elliana couldn’t see her or her signs, she was about to step in front of her when Elliana sighed.

"It’s ok. Keep thinking what you want to say to me. I will read your mind," Elliana said, and Glow immediately jerked away from her, making Elliana chuckle at the girl.

However, her chuckle held no amusement. It was dry, just like her emotions that were getting tired of everything. She sighed before looking at Glow with a soft sad smile.

"Why are you making fun of the situation? It’s not!" Glow signed frustratingly, and Elliana, who saw what was going on inside her head, and understood that Glow loved her too much to leave her, smiled.

"Because I love you," Elliana whispered, making Glow look away with a scoff.

"How could you leave so easily? We were just shocked by your words. It was hard to believe. You- you appeared in front of us out of nowhere and told us you are a dark witch. How were we supposed to react immediately? How could you leave before we got our senses back? No matter what is true or false, our love and loyalty towards you is unturned and undeniably strong. How could you think that we won’t choose to be with you?" Glow signed, and Elliana sighed.

What was she supposed to say? She was thinking like this because people around her made it clear to her that love wasn’t her best forte, and she was supposed to be hurt again and again by people close to her. Elliana thought, walking towards the edge of the hill.

"I don’t know. Maybe because deep down my own body has started to accept the fact that I am going to be forever alone?" Elliana whispered before turning to look at Glow.

"Glow, I know there are thousands of questions brewing in your head. But I have to leave. And -" Elliana paused.

"Why are you hiding your face? And then you sprayed that scent-hiding perfume too. Who are you hiding from?" She asked, but Glow just looked away, not answering anything.

Elliana sighed. She wanted to say and enquire more, but she was running short of time, and she needed to hurry to Mr. Marino before he reached her.

"Thank you for choosing to trust me," Elliana whispered.
