The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 458: Evil cunning spirit

Chapter 458: Evil cunning spirit

"Do you think you can take all of us down? Keep your fucking gaze down, little girl," one of the witches jumped down from the tree, hissing at Elliana like a serpent ready to attack.

Elliana didn’t react. She just stood there.

"What the hell, seriously? We were told to only scare you a bit, but if you keep this facade on, these witch aunties might actually spank that cute ass with more than our hands," another witch said to provoke Elliana, but she still didn’t react.

Vincenzo looked at his friend and how her hands were clenched by her side, making him want to rush there and hold her in his embrace, fight all those witches, and protect her at any cost.

He felt like a friend who had sent his little friend to a ring where he knew she would be roughened up badly, but he wanted to see her return with a victorious smile on her face.

’You’ve got this,’ Vincenzo said to Elliana in his heart, hoping he wouldn’t have to see something where he would be forced to forget all the rules against vampires hurting a witch and kill them all.

He was tempted to call Sebastian, but given how this was a witch fight and his brother’s hatred would probably end up hurting Elliana, he didn’t want to take that kind of risk, no matter the temptation.

"Uhhh, this is boring. Why aren’t we starting already? I don’t have the entire day for this," another witch spoke while the others looked at Elliana.

"Why have you been following me? Who asked you to scare me?" Elliana asked when the witches didn’t say anything for a few seconds.

The witches scoffed at her.

"Stupid girl, when you are getting attacked, you don’t ask why the people are attacking you, you defend yourself first. If not, by the time we would be in the mood to tell you some answers, you won’t be standing straight," The same witch said again and Elliana nodded.

She turned to Vincenzo for a brief second, a helpless smile on her face.

"Can you not look, please?" She asked, her eyes practically pleading with him and he sighed.

He wanted to deny her plea because he wanted to ensure she didn’t get too hurt, but he understood her emotions too, thus, with a dejected nod, he turned around, making Elliana turn back to the witches who were looking at her interaction with raised brows.

"It’s a good decision. You wouldn’t want your friend to see you getting -" the witch couldn’t finish her sentence.

She looked at the girl in front of her, whose aura changed completely as she looked at them like they were nothing more than peasants in front of her.

She didn’t know how to define it, but the kind of suppression was enough to choke and suffocate you in your own head, and for a witch to be feeling this, it wasn’t a good idea.

Circe was getting in control now and they definitely didn’t like the way these witches were talking to their human counterparts.

"I am ready to defend myself. Are you ready to attack me?" Elliana asked before she raised her hand in the air towards the sky to create another circular shield around the forest like Nathaniel had once taught her to help her practice properly without worrying about anyone seeing her or getting hurt.

She didn’t want any powers to leak into the environment and change the weather to cause a ruckus among vampires, catching everyone’s attention.

The witches looked at the girl’s shield expansion, surprised at the intensity. How can a girl merely 18 years old have this kind of refined shield? Or did she use all her powers to show off?

"Arrogance is always the reason for one’s downfall," One of the witches who had been quiet since earlier, said.

Elliana smiled and nodded, "I can say the same thing for you too. Just because you are senior to me doesn’t give you the right to mock me,"

’Circe, I don’t want any bloodshed. I am too somber for it,’ Elliana whispered to her powers, who immediately nodded.

"Start," Elliana said to her powers, and the witches who thought she gave them the order immediately went into the fighting position.

’Use any powers you want on her. Give her your best shot without making her bleed,’ The witches remembered their leader’s orders, and their eyes immediately started changing to the colors of their respective fields.

"Brennen," the first witch said, and Elliana noticed around 20 or so fireballs appearing out of nowhere before they were thrown at her.

"Wand," Elliana whispered under her breath, and a large wall made of forest ground rose in the sky, taking the fire attack like nothing.

Elliana clicked her fingers to make the wall disappear within seconds.

"Since you got one chance to attack, do I get one chance to attack too? With the same element? Let’s keep it fair and square. After all, it’s seven against one, and with your seniority, it’s quite pitiful," Elliana’s eyes turned dark.

"It’s ..." The witch looked at her friends, confused.

Was this girl really making her rules and forcing them on them?

"I guess, that’s a yes," Elliana’s deep voice rang.

She smiled at the witch, her eyes turning pink, making them gasp.

This color iris for a dark witch only indicated a high level of power.

"Brennen," She barely whispered, looking at her hands that created a black flame in her hand.

Everyone stepped back, shocked.

The black flame of evilness and core witch powers wasn’t something that even I’m grade witches got. In fact, this black flame was sacred to only top two-tier witches since it was the flame that chose its owner and not the other way around.

Elliana gently raised her hand in slow motion before she blew air on her hand, making the fireball larger, her smile stretching even wider, making her look like the real goddess of death as she flattened her palm in the direction of the witch who attacked her.

The witch had already admitted her defeat when she was the color of the flame. She hadn’t expected the pain to be this wild when the flame touched her.

"Aaaaaa!" The witch screamed in agony as the black flame engulfed her.

"You!" The witch looked at Elliana before clicking her fingers and small needles like water guns appeared out of nowhere, attacking Elliana.

It caught Elliana by surprise because she didn’t expect that, but Circe immediately took the situation under control, moving Elliana’s body to save her from the attack until she gained control of her mind.

"Eis," Elliana whispered, and immediately all the water guns froze in their place before falling to the ground.

"Now my turn," Elliana smiled, each time her eyes turning a shade darker.

"Donner," Elliana raised her hand in the sky, and the witch stepped back to save herself, but it was too late, the thunder and lightning echoed before the lightning struck the witch with water powers, making it even worse since her hands were drenched because of the attacks she did.

"Aaaaaa!" "Aaaa!" The witch screamed as the pain intensified with each thunder.

Though they could see Elliana wasn’t using her full powers, whatever she was using was more than enough to rethink their decision to volunteer to hurt the girl.

"You, cunning evil spirit," the witch’s sister roared at Elliana, who froze. Her hands paused as she closed her eyes for a second.

Even Circe paused in their actions, looking at their human with pity.

A cunning, evil spirit? Was that what she was becoming now? Elliana wondered.

"Am I the thing you just called me?" She asked, her powers becoming darker, making Circe growl with anger this time.

’These witches dare hurt our human!’ Circe shouted collectively, their form refining even more.

Meanwhile, in Nathaniel’s office, the man’s eyes turned dark.

"Fuck! Queen Azura, untie my hands now! You have no idea what you are doing," Nathaniel growled at Azura, who was shocked to see her daughter’s vibes change so drastically.

Vincenzo, who wasn’t able to hear anything or feel anything because of the shield, shook in his place when he felt the wind around him changing, meaning nothing good.

It was so small that it was hard to know whether it belonged to Elliana or not. He quickly turned around to ensure Elliana was alright.

However, what he saw next, made his jaws clenched and throat tightened.

The witches weren’t being merciful when they were attacking Elliana, but to his surprise, Elliana was taking it all like a pro.

But... But something about the way she was standing didn’t look right. Even though he wasn’t able to feel anything at all, his intuition told him things were about to go terribly down.

He was about to call Elliana to snap her out of whatever daze these witches were taking her into, but the translucent shield suddenly became opaque, making him gulp.

While he was kind of sure that nothing would happen to Elliana, he was more afraid that his friend might not remain the same after this fight.
