The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -

Chapter 455: The time has come
"I am sorry," Sebastian held her free hand.
Vincenzo looked at his brother who never apologized to anyone and then looked at the girl whose lips twitched slightly.
Was she really joking with him at a time like this when his beast was barely in control? What happened to the girl who used to tame him? But then, wasn’t he tamed in front of her? Vincenzo thought.
It was really hard to understand the two of them.
"Can’t you hear me, Prince Vincenzo? Let’s go," Elliana looked at Vincenzo, who quirked his brows, unsure of what games she was playing.
"But -" Vincenzo started but before he could say anything, Sebastian pulled Elliana towards him with a jerk, making her back hit his chest.
He turned her around, looking straight into her eyes.
"At least look at me. Don’t punish me like this, please. You know I don’t like it when you act like this. I am sorry. I know I should’ve asked you and waited for an optimum time to announce you are my wife, but can you blame me? I was jealous," Sebastian groaned, his deep sexy voice, making Elliana’s stomach churn with excitement and she cleared her throat.
"And? I still don’t understand why it should bother me," Elliana said, barely keeping her emotions in check.
"Because you are mine! You are my f*cking wife!" Sebastian’s beast overpowered him for a brief second and Vincenzo immediately became alert.
"Sebastian! Look at where you are standing and who you are speaking to," Vincenzo raised his voice to bring his brother back to his senses.
There was no way he was letting his beast take over when Elliana was here.
Even though he knew that Sebastian cared about the girl like hell and wouldn’t harm her, he still didn’t want to take any chances.
He looked at the girl who was standing unfazed and didn’t know what to say. Wasn’t she the least bit scared for her life?
Vincenzo looked at his brother, whose gaze was fixated on Elliana too.
"Princess -"
"Leave us alone for some time, brother Vincenzo," Sebastian raised his gaze to him for a brief second and Vincenzo sighed before nodding.
He waited for Elliana to say something, but when she didn’t, he walked away towards the area where he left the vampires to see what conditions they were being left in.
"Princess -"
"I like it," Elliana said, cutting off Sebastian mid-sentence.
"Hm?" Sebastian asked, confused.
"I like it when you are jealous. It makes me feel good. The thought that the most dangerous man who remains unfazed by everything is jealous of someone and everyone when it comes to me, I like the idea," Elliana beamed at him, surprising Sebastian with her quick change in emotions.
’So all this - were you not angry with me?’ Sebastian wanted to ask, but seeing her soft smile, he forgot to breathe for a second when she raised her hand and cupped his cheeks.
Sebastian quirked his brows at the predatory look in her eyes. It was almost as if she wasn’t in her senses and her full senses at the same time.
"Take it off," Elliana whispered, and Sebastian, who was caught off guard for a second, smirked at the authority in her voice before nodding.
He took off his overcoat immediately, letting it fall beside her foot, followed by his coat and vest.
Elliana smiled, tracing his bottom lip with her thumb.
"Your shirt," Elliana said, and without a doubt, Sebastian started unbuttoning his shirt slowly.
He was about to take it off too when Elliana placed her hand on his, stopping him mid-action, her soft hands wrapping around his long fingers before she stepped forward.
"Will you really do everything I tell you?" She asked.
Sebastian smirked.
"You have no idea how much I am obsessed with you, do you?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana hummed.
"I don’t. Because I know no amount of obsession will be able to keep me," Elliana whispered, thinking about how she would have to leave soon.
"No amount of power in the world will be able to take you away from me," Sebastian countered her words, and Elliana smiled, scoffing at her reality inwardly.
’You don’t need anyone to come between us. You will be the one to throw me out,’ Elliana thought, her smile faltering.
Sebastian took on her sad emotions and was about to ask her why she ran away like that when she wasn’t angry at him, but his unasked question was soon answered when he saw two wolves coming towards them, drenched in blood.
He looked at the familiar wolves and then at his princess.
"So the vampires are dead?" He asked.
Elliana looked at the wolves who bobbed their heads up and down.
She turned to Sebastian before nodding, making him sigh.
"Seriously, princess. You don’t listen to me anymore, do you? I told you I would take care of it, didn’t I? Did you really have to be involved?" Sebastian asked.
Elliana pulled out the dagger from her thigh strap and threw it towards the wolves.
"Good work. Go back now. Start preparing for the funeral. I will wire the money soon," Elliana said to the wolves who looked at her dagger and howled loudly in acknowledgment.
The wolves bowed to her on one knee before they bared their teeth at Sebastian and left, making the prince quirk his brows.
He had many questions brewing in his heart. Questions like, how she met them, how she earned their loyalty and became a part of their rogue pack, which was one of the hardest things since rogues don’t listen to anyone easily, and the main thing, what kind of work bound them together.
"They are like a family to me. If I won’t get involved in their business, then who would?" Elliana whispered, and Sebastian cupped her cheeks.
"And me? What about me?" he asked, placing his forehead on hers.
"The day you take off your mask, I will put a challenge in front of you, if you pass it, I will never leave your side ever," Elliana whispered to him, tears brimming her eyes.
Meanwhile, in the forests of Moon City a couple of kilometers away from where Elliana and others were, a lady sat on one of the trees, drinking human blood.
"Are you sure this is the right time for it? You said Elliana might lose her life if you took away your hidden powers," Another lady asked the lady who was sitting on the tree.
She couldn’t see where Elliana was, but since the lady said she could see her with a royal vampire, she didn’t proceed to go to Elliana. She didn’t want to be seen by the royals and risk everyone’s life.
"Haven’t I told you before too? This was all pre-planned, sweetheart. All of this happening was pre-planned. I agree that there was turbulence in the plans -" The lady paused, remembering how letting Elliana find out that she was Azura’s daughter before the ritual of taking back the siren powers was never in the plans.
"But this is the right time indeed. She has been telling everyone her secret now. It won’t be long before the royals would know her secret too. Now they might or might not keep her, but that would be the perfect time to Kidnap her and take away those powers that were never hers to begin with," The lady drank another sip of human blood before smiling.
"Why? Why are you waiting for the royals to know her secret? Isn’t her secret being known by the witches and these wolves already a big threat?" The other lady asked.
The siren who had been pretending to be a mute vampire and staying with Elliana for the two years to keep a look on her, smirked.
"Do you know that the sirens hate vampires because vampires are the biggest threat to our existence?" The siren asked, and the vampire standing below her nodded meekly.
"Just imagine how great it would feel to blame everything on those royals. Once they know the truth about Elliana being a dark witch and she runs away, I will kidnap her to perform the ritual. If she died, guess who would be the one to blame for her death? It would be that Sebastian Marino," The siren smiled before wiping her lips.
The other lady who was grateful for Elliana’s help just like the others, looked at the siren before looking down at her feet.
"She risked her life and devoted her existence to us. Do you not feel any sympathy for her?" She asked after a drawn-out pause.
The siren froze in her place, the tip of the glass barely touching her lips as she looked at the girl who was hugging her husband right now with a soft smile and tears in her eyes.
The siren sighed and placed the glass beside her.
"I don’t feel any sympathy for her. I pity her for sure, but just like she has accepted you and devoted herself to you guys, I am a kingdom’s queen too. My people are waiting for me.
Though I agree that my initial plans were to find the spies in my kingdom and destroy them, who would’ve known Pluto would ruin the chronology of the events? Things are not in my control anymore. It’s all her fate now. If dying is written in her destiny, no one can stop it," The siren said before she closed her eyes, making the vampire sigh and clench her hands.
She didn’t mean to betray the only person who saved and believed in them when the entire city didn’t care about their death, but after taking the favor from the siren, she wasn’t left with much choice.
