The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 454: She wasn’t a bad person

Chapter 454: She wasn’t a bad person

"Why are you acting so shocked? It’s not like I didn’t tell you the truth," Elliana said to Vincenzo, her eyes holding a strange kind of rage that made Vincenzo second guess if she was the same Glory he was used to.

Was this the true nature of being a dark witch? Was that why dark witches were hated so much? Did evilness run in their veins? Many thoughts arose in his head.

Vincenzo looked at the girl, whose gaze was fixated on the vampires who had a strange arrogant look on their faces as they stood behind the royal prince.

Elliana scoffed. Did these vampires really think that no one would do anything to them if the royal prince was present there?

How naive.

She looked at Sasha, whose gaze was full of questions, but the lady knew not to ask them when their boss was almost blazing fire through her eyes. Elliana’s gaze was too predatory at the moment.

"Where is Glow?" Elliana asked.

"G-Glow, uhhh... She is with her lover," Sasha said in the hidden message that Glow was working on the poison and Elliana nodded.

It was strange. Though Glow was working on the poison, the fact that she hadn’t made a move to contact her from her side or tried to see her was quite weird. Something else was going on with her, and Elliana needed to know about it.

Just because she was in a deep shit doesn’t mean she was going to ignore her girls who were dependent on her.

Elliana looked around.

"You all wanted to know who I am, right? This is my true nature. I didn’t know I was a dark witch until one month ago. Just like everyone around me, I lived in the delusion that I was a human, a very cursed one in love at that. But this is what I am now. So now that you have seen me, are you ready to accept me as who I am?" Elliana asked, finally looking into Davis’s and Jennifer’s eyes who were still shocked as hell.

Elliana didn’t wait for their answers. She didn’t have that much time on hand when she knew Mr. Marino must be looking for her.

She walked to Vincenzo.

"I made a promise to my people, Prince Vincenzo. It’s life for life. So unless you are standing against me, I suggest you step aside," Elliana said, looking straight into his eyes.

Vincenzo sighed before scoffing inside his mind. Did he really have a choice? It was like choosing between his only friend and a bunch of useless vampires who obviously committed a crime by going that extreme.

Sebastian had said to take the vampires away from Elliana because he didn’t want her to paint her hands red with their dirty blood.

Of course, it was easier for his brother to give those orders and believe that Elliana would be saved from the bloodshed. Then again, can he really blame his brother when he didn’t know who she was?

Who would’ve thought that Elliana would call her team to stop them, more than that, who would’ve known that Elliana would use her witch powers to find them?

Elliana looked at the vampires whose expression immediately turned somber when Vincenzo stepped aside.

"Sir-" the vampire leader started and Vincenzo sighed.

"What can I do? You have to atone for your sins," Vincenzo said before he walked out of the area, not wanting to see his softhearted Glory killing people of his species mercilessly.

Elliana didn’t waste any time and looked at the wolves behind her. They were the ones who were directly related to Nyx.

"Go ahead. Take your revenge," Elliana nodded at them before she swirled her hand, rendering the vampires unable to move.

’Keep your magic until they are dead, Circe,’ Elliana whispered before she walked out of the area to talk to Vincenzo.

"Aaaaaaaa! Please stop! No!" The first scream of the vampire echoed when Jennifer and Davis bit into the vampire’s neck, changing into their wolf forms to shred them to pieces.

Vincenzo closed his eyes before opening them abruptly when he felt Elliana’s presence near him.

He looked at her surprised before looking back towards the area.

"Are you not -"

"I am not a bad person, Prince Vincenzo," Elliana walked ahead, letting the wolves take their revenge.

"Princess Elliana, I didn’t mean to think in that way but -"

"But being a dark witch comes with the tag of being evil. I know, Prince Vincenzo. My friend already told me the consequences of what might happen to me when Mr. Marino found out about my truth," Elliana smiled softly.

"He won’t harm you," Vincenzo said, his wavering gaze making Elliana shake her head in amusement.

"Look at yourself, Prince Vincenzo. You are unsure of your own words and you want to comfort me with them? The ceremony is this week, and I know I will have to leave this place soon. There is no need to comfort me for that. I have come to terms with it," Elliana sat on the ground.

She leaned on the tree with her eyes closed, drowning the sound of the screaming vampires as Davis and Jennifer treated them.

"Will you stay till the commencement of the ceremony?" Vincenzo asked after some time, and Elliana hummed.

"It’s Mr. Marino’s dream, to become the king. How can I miss being there with him on his big day? I won’t reveal anything before that," Elliana answered.

"How are you so sure that it would be Sebastian who will get the throne? What if Prince Stephano gets the throne? Will you stay after that?" Vincenzo asked, a little hope lighting in his heart, and Elliana smiled.

"Either way I will leave that day. We already had this talk. Mr. Marino will stand true in both conditions. My report about Gambit and all his hidden locations is almost ready which I will give to him soon. Regarding the votes, Mr. Marino is more than capable of earning them," Elliana answered.

Vincenzo looked at the girl, who had a soft smile on her face, but the aura she was radiating clearly told him how sad she was about everything happening around her.

"So you are leaving either way," Vincenzo whispered her words again and Elliana opened her eyes to look at the man who looked so lonely sitting there with his hunched back.

"I will stay in contact with you. We will meet at a different spot. I will message you that. It will be just like earlier times. Obviously, if you don’t mind me being a dark witch," Elliana smiled awkwardly and in a swift motion Vincenzo was sitting in front of her, his hand cupping her cheeks, shocking her with his sudden actions.

"Does it look like I hate you? Look into my eyes and tell me, do I seem bothered with you being a dark witch, Elliana? Tell me," Vincenzo asked, feeling offended that she even thought he wouldn’t accept her.

"Well... But your family won’t accept me -"

"No one in the family hates dark witches as much as Sebastian. And honestly, he has a valid reason for that. A dark witch ruined his life by turning him into a beast and taking away all his happiness," Vincenzo said.

Elliana nodded.

"I don’t blame him for that. They indeed ruined him and forced him to be left all alone," She whispered.

Vincenzo’s eyes softened at the helplessness in her eyes.

"You love him a lot, don’t you?" Vincenzo asked, his gaze and emotions masked behind his neutral expression.

"I don’t know. I don’t know the measurement of ’lot’, but it’s true that I can fight and die anytime for him. He might’ve never taken me more than a stepping stone for the throne, it’s all the care and affection he gave me that is enough for me to last my entire life. I will never be able to have what I have with him with anyone else. So I really don’t know where my ’lot’ ends," Elliana whispered.

Sebastian, who reached the area since Vincenzo had messaged him to come and take his wife away, heard her talking about how much she loved him and his anger immediately dissipated like it was never there.

He took a deep breath, his beast sighing with contentment.

"Princess," Sebastian said, making Elliana freeze in her place, her gaze moving to Vincenzo who looked back at her with a stern gaze.

"I wasn’t going to let my friend turn into a beast," Vincenzo stood before extending his hand to help her stand.

Sebastian extended his hand for his princess, glaring at Vincenzo, who rolled his eyes inwardly.

He hated that Sebastian was so possessive of her that he didn’t even like their unadulterated friendship.

Vincenzo was about to pull his hand back, his jaws clenched.

However, Elliana placed her hand in his and Vincenzo looked at her with raised brows.

He looked at Sebastian who didn’t have a good expression and gulped.

"Princess," Sebastian called her again when he noticed she wasn’t even looking at him and he sighed.

"Let’s go," Elliana said, clenching her hand around Vincenzo.

Vincenzo looked between Elliana and Sebastian and didn’t know if it was all right to be standing in between them. He didn’t have a good feeling about it.
