The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 373: How to cope with sadness?
Chapter 373: How to cope with sadness?
Sebastian looked at the girl who was still hiccuping softly in his arms and sighed.
The protective feeling he was having in his heart for her was unreal and unfiltered.
For the first time in his life, after his mother was killed in front of him and he had nearly destroyed everything in his path, he wanted to destroy the entire human kingdom once again, even when he knew his grandpa would lock him in the dungeons forever and never let him out, the same prison that was built for him with the help of 37 witches to contain his beast.
He wanted to tell her to stop crying because her hiccups were piercing his heart, and the more he was listening to her, the more he wanted to have a blood bath.
Honestly, a part of him knew he would’ve already left to avenge her tears, if not for her tight grip on his shirt, and her head on his chest.
His heart ached painfully as his hands tightened around her body. He leaned back, closing his eyes, focusing on her beating heart to distract himself.
After what felt like an eternity but was an hour or so, his princess’s cries finally started to subside as they neared their palace and he sighed when he heard her soft breathing.
She was probably falling into her deep slumber of sleep, tired of crying for so long.
Sebastian gently caressed her hair, pulling her inside his overcoat and wrapping it around her.
"Is she alright?" Lucas asked when they heard pin drop silence in the car, the o my sound being their princess’s soft breathing and her human heart that was louder than theirs.
Sebastian didn’t answer. How could he when he didn’t know if she was alright himself?
Once the car stopped in front of their palace, Sebastian gently stepped out of the car with her body still in his arms.
Miss Zoya, who had thought that the princess would be gone for the entire day, rushed to the large gates of the palace when one of the maids said the prince and princess were back.
"Prince, you guys are early. I thought -"
Miss Zoya stopped when she smelt the familiar scent of blood and her gaze finally landed on the Princess, who was wrapped in the Prince’s coat in a way that only her head was visible.
"What -"
"Bring a glass of juice and some healing broth to the room after an hour," Sebastian didn’t look at Miss Zoya and went straight to his room.
He gently placed the girl on the bed, his lips pressed in a thin line when he finally removed the overcoat and Lucas’ coat from earlier.
His heart skipped a beat at the sight in front of him. Her dress was splashed in blood and with ugly tears all along.
Sebastian sighed.
He needed to get her cleaned. But if he took her to the bathroom, he was afraid she would wake up and start crying again.
It was better if her mind healed through sleep.
With a deep sigh, he took off his coat, vest, and shirt, letting them fall on the chair before he changed his pants into comfortable khaki pants after taking a quick shower.
Sebastian was about to place the small tub of hot water he prepared to clean his princess’ body when his phone vibrated with an incoming call.
He picked up the call with an annoyed sigh.
"What is it?"
"I am sorry to interrupt you, sir, but there’s news that one of the Dukes has gone missing. It has caused an uproar in the inner social circle," Harry said, making Sebastian quirk his brows.
"Missing?"
"Yes, sir. It’s Duke Tyson. The last time he was seen was at the annual ball. His partner even filed a complaint. She is saying someone probably kidnapped him. The royal guards are onto it.
We have been looking for him or any information. Earlier, someone contacted us. They said they knew who kidnapped the Duke. He has called us to the racing arena. What should we do in that case?" Harry asked.
Sebastian looked at his Princess, massaging his forehead.
This was important for him, but nothing was more important than the girl lying on the bed.
"Go and look into it. Don’t wait for me. I will accompany the princess for some time until she is alright," Sebastian ended the call.
He walked to the bed and tried to gently take her dress off, his heart squeezing slightly when she held onto the fabric with tears rolling down the corner of her eyes even when she was asleep.
"Sshhh, it’s me, your husband. Your, Mr. Marino," Sebastian whispered in her ears, peppering soft kisses all over her face until she loosened her grip over the fabric.
He gently tore the rest of the dress, not wanting to move her too much.
His gaze darkened when his gaze landed on the rough marks of something sharp being run along her thighs.
Something indeed happened in that room that traumatized his princess beyond control, and he would be damned if he doesn’t avenge her pain. But first, he needed her to open up to him and trust him.
He wiped the dried blood from Elliana’s face before kissing and licking her cheeks to close the wound. He followed the process until all her wounds were sealed back, his fingers trembled slightly as his hand hovered over her panties.
He has touched and pleased his princess quite a few times earlier, but to date, he has never seen what she really looks like down here without her panties because he didn’t trust himself to be able to control himself.
Though he knew he wasn’t insane and crazy enough to want her and make love to her when she was in this condition, a part of him still wanted to be cautious.
Should he wait for her to wake up? No. It will only cause more discomfort to her and might cause infection too. He coughed lightly to ease his awkwardness before gently parting her legs and sighing dejectedly as he wiped her thighs from the side of her panty linings.
He looked at the cut on her skin and cleared his throat when his fangs ached, the smell of her sweet womanhood making him want to rip that only fabric on her body and have his way with her.
Sebastian shook his head to get out of his naughty thoughts before he sided her panty lining enough to have full access to the wound and keep her womanhood still hidden from him.
He extended his tongue gently and gave the wound a hard lick after wiping it clean sighing when the skin started coming together and sealing.
He grabbed the side of her panty lining to put it back in place so she didn’t feel exposed when he paused in his actions.
"Mmmm," Elliana’s voice reached his ears and he looked up, his eyes meeting with her confused amber eyes.
"Mr. Ma -" Elliana started before realizing she was almost naked in front of him and he was holding her panties now.
Her pupils dilated.
Sebastian was ready with all kinds of explanations to ease her heart and tell her he wasn’t doing anything inappropriate to her when to his surprise, she just turned around, pulling her legs close to her chest, lying there in a cocoon shape.
"Can you leave me alone for some time? I want to be alone," Elliana whispered.
"No. I won’t leave you alone to think about the worse things. Uncurl your legs this instant. Let me complete my treatment," Sebastian said.
She lay on her back, looking at him with expressionless eyes and he sighed.
Once he was sure all her wounds were gone, he hovered over her and kissed her forehead.
"I am not leaving you. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to go there ever again or even sever ties with them. The only thing I know is that you are mine," Sebastian whispered against her lips, not kissing her.
"Hmm," Elliana hummed, letting her tears fall from the corner of her eyes again.
The anger was still locked inside her heart, and she knew she needed to do something to take it out.
"Don’t just hum. I want you to get better. I miss my naughty Princess already," Sebastian placed his forehead on hers, making her feel the cold plastic of his mask on her forehead.
"Will you take me to the bike racing arena? I heard there is a competition," Elliana asked after a dragging silence.
"Will that make you happy?" Sebastian asked.
It fit right with his plans. This way he would be able to do his work while ensuring she was happy and satisfied.
"Yes," Elliana whispered and Sebastian hummed.
"Okay, get ready. We are leaving in thirty minutes. The race will start in 50 minutes," Sebastian said with a smile before pecking her lips. He was ready to take her anywhere at the moment as long as it ensured she would be happy.
What he didn’t know was that his wife wasn’t going there to just watch. She wanted to go there to race those professional racers.
