Chapter 345: No one dares to touch her
Sebastian ended his call with the Duchess of Marina Woods and sighed.
It was a good deal. He got his favor. He can expect her to vote for the throne for sure.
Sebastian turned around and looked at Lucas.
"We got the deal," Sebastian said, and Lucas immediately smiled, his eyes visibly beaming at the news.
Sebastian was about to walk to his car when he suddenly paused.
"Wait. Why did you follow me?" Sebastian asked.
"Uh? Didn’t you need me to? You said let’s go," Lucas said, and Sebastian sighed before massing the space between his brows.
He was so immersed in his call that he didn’t even realize he was bringing his subordinate with him too.
"I thought you would stay back with the princess because you knew I wouldn’t want her to be alone out there. That much should be understood, Lucas. If you are also with me, who is going to pay for her dress? I can’t have my wife buy a dress from someone else’s money, especially that boy. What’s his name? Dexter?" Sebastian said as he turned back towards the showroom which was at some distance.
His nose flared when the wind picked its pace, his when widening as soon as he smelt Elliana’s blood.
Meanwhile, inside the showroom, Elliana looked at the person standing in front of her.
Not in a million thoughts she had guessed this person would come to save her and at a time like this. Then again, wasn’t it normal for witches to appear anywhere out of nowhere?
Nathaniel particularly told her that this person wasn’t good.
"How dare you to touch her?" Azura’s dark voice full of malice reached everyone’s ears, and the vampires who had been fighting earlier stopped immediately.
Alcinder was seething with anger, but in the presence of a dark witch and that to be of this intense power, he also stopped hitting the leader.
The only noise in the showroom was the moans of pain of Samantha.
They looked at the dark witch with wariness, unsure of what to expect.
Her hair was flailing in the air without any wind and the dark energy around Azura that was even visible to the naked eye intensified even more.
Everyone noticed how her gaze wasn’t moving from Elliana, or should they say, Elliana’s wounds. It was a case of possession and obsession rather than care.
No one moved. No one apart from Elliana who immediately sat beside Samantha.
"I think you should stay away from this matter, witch. This has nothing to do with you. So you better not poke your nose where it shouldn’t -" The leader couldn’t even complete his words when Azura looked at him, a neutral expression on her face.
"That wasn’t the answer to my question. What I asked was - how dare you touch her?" Azura’s words confused everyone.
Was she talking about Samantha, or was she talking about Elliana?
There was no way she was close to Samantha, a voice prince when everyone knew the animosity and sour relations between the two species.
And why would a dark witch care for Elliana? Wasn’t she just a human?
"It was easy to complete our mission by using her," The vampire leader said, wiping the blood from the corner of his lips as Alcinder had hurt him quite badly.
"Just a tool?" Azura asked, looking at the girl who was barely keeping her eyes open, and a sinister smile appeared on her lips.
"Like this?" Azura asked, and before anyone could blink, one of the vampire’s bodies melted into nothingness like molten gold, making everyone widen their eyes.
This kind of power...
Normally, Alcinder would’ve warned the witch for using her powers on a vampire, but seeing how she was indirectly helping them, he didn’t say anything.
"Or like this?" Azura asked, making all the vampires who were there with evil intent rise towards ceilings, their heads smashing into the concrete ceiling with a bang.
The blood splashed all over, horrifying everyone, and just like that, all the vampires started dropping on the floor one by one, making Elliana look around herself in astonishment.
"Little girl, come here. Let me have a look at your wound," Azura said once all the courses who had arrived there to attack Samantha fell on the ground.
Alcinder, who wasn’t as angry as before and was calling the ambulance, looked at the dark witch and then at Elliana.
He didn’t know if they should really entrust this girl to such a powerful witch, but it wasn’t like they could do anything.
A witch who killed around 30 vampires without even lifting her fingers can easily Kidnap Elliana or hurt her too.
"I... Can you do something for my friend? She is quite hurt and in pain. Please?" Elliana said, and Azura looked at the vampire girl on the ground.
She was quite hurt, and it didn’t take a genius to know that the wounds would take around a week to heal.
Azura’s expression didn’t look too promising.
It was unethical and against his morals, but for once Alcinder really wanted a witch to help them and take his fiancee’s pain away. However, who was he expecting from? Everyone knows that the witches never help you without wanting something in return.
"Is that what you want?" Azura asked, still contemplating, but when she looked at Elliana’s torn eyes, she ran her hand through her long hair before sighing.
She walked to where Samantha was lying on the ground and groaning in pain since she wasn’t even able to move. Her healing powers were really low because of the loss of so much blood, not to mention it was a long time since she last fed on human blood too.
"Step away," She said to Elliana without looking at her.
Drake immediately rushed to the girl when he saw her stumbling before pulling her away as he helped her stand.
"You did good," Drake said, his nose flaring because of the scent of the fresh blood oozing from her neck and her being so close to him.
"Drake, leave her hand," Melony immediately growled at her boyfriend, and Drake gulped before nodding and stepping away from the girl.
Melony could see Drake’s eyes turning color, and she sighed before walking to him and wiping the blood of other vampires from his hands as she calmed his desperate urge to drink some human blood.
Elliana couldn’t remove her gaze from Azura. She was mesmerized as she saw the dark witch working her way around the spells.
Pop. The first bone of Samantha’s wrist went back in its place, followed by another pop sound as her legs evened out.
The broken nose was taken care of next before Azura worked her way to the vampire girl’s ribcage. Slowly slowly, with each second, she corrected all the broken or damaged parts of her body.
’Will I be able to do this too after a point?’ She thought as she noticed Samantha becoming exactly how she had walked in this hall.
"Are you happy now?" Azura asked before she stood from her place.
"Now come to me," She walked to Elliana, but before her hand could even touch the girl, someone held her hand, making her hand burn and she hissed before stepping back.
"Who are you touching?" Sebastian’s cold voice echoed in the hall, his beast threatening to take over and his eyes during dark when Elliana fell forward.
