Chapter 334: The new man

"Are you feeling okay now?" Sebastian asked after an hour of keeping her wrapped up in his arms, and Elliana nodded with a soft ’mmm’, making him smile.

"Now should we talk about the slap that I didn’t deserve?" Sebastian pinched her chin.

Elliana scowled with a pout.

"You deserved it for not calling," Elliana looked down at her hands on her lap, feeling ashamed.

"Is that so? Then would it be okay if I say you deserve to be f*cked because the devil inside me is feeling like claiming you?" Sebastian pecked her lips, making her bite her lips and look away.

He looked at the flush on her cheeks and suppressed the urge to bite the buns.

"So beautiful and naive. Just like how I like my princess," Sebastian whispered into her ears, making her shudder in response.

"It’s quite the nighttime. Let’s sleep. You look so weak. Have you not been eating well?" Sebastian whispered to her, and Elliana turned to look at him.

"I told everyone that I like the youngest masked prince of the royal Kingdom," Elliana blurted out of the blue.

Sebastian was surprised by this piece of information. He didn’t expect her to say anything until he was crowned at least, given how she was obsessed with keeping their relationship private.

"I am sure you must’ve had a good reason for it," he replied, unsure of where this was going.

"But no one believed and supported me. They said I am acting like a teenager who fell for her bully," Elliana whispered.

Sebastian quirked his brows.

"And do you agree with it?" He asked, his lips twitching when she nodded her head meekly.

So she thinks he is her bully? How did he bully her exactly? He hasn’t even shown her what being a Vampire’s wife truly looks like. And she thinks this small nibbling and teasing is bullying.

"Well, then should I show you what bullying feels like?" He forced her to look up, looking down at her with his dark red eyes, licking his bottom lip with clear intentions, and Elliana gasped with wide eyes.

It amazed her how his hazel eyes immediately changed to dark red in a second. It was magical to her.

"Mr. Marino -"

"Sshhh, don’t speak, Cara. Do you have any idea how much I want to ruin you? Ruin you, break you, then claim you and mold you the way I want?"

It was Sebastian’s devil side taking over.

Elliana felt scared for a second, but rather than running like any normal human should’ve, she traced the crack in his mask with her slap earlier before she snuck her hand behind the nape of his neck.

She pulled him down with a jerk, looking straight into his eyes.

"Do it," She whispered, her powers challenging him cockily, shocking not only Sebastian but herself too.

"What?" Sebastian asked, snapping out of her daze, and she widened her eyes before she stood from his lap and ran towards their room, flushed from embarrassment.

Sebastian looked at the back of the girl, unsure if he had heard her right. She didn’t possibly ask him to do what his devil side wanted, right?

No. What was he thinking? He shook his head.

No sane person in their right mind would want that. Sebastian sighed before calling Miss Zoya to get the report of what happened in his absence and the chef to ask for the preparations for the annual ball.

Next day ~~~

"What?" Elliana looked at Glow in confusion.

"She is saying the demand is 100 times more this time," Sasha interpreted, and Elliana rolled her eyes.

"I know the sign language, Sasha. It was just a surprised reaction. Does Marcello know why the demand for the scent-hiding perfume has increased by 100-fold? It definitely can’t be because we stopped the supply for a week," Elliana whispered, and Glow nodded.

"The scent is demanded by the human rogues," Glow sighed, and Elliana who was munching on her choco chips casually that Mr. Marino got for her, paused.

"Who is demanding it?" Elliana sat straight.

"We don’t have the correct information but the rogue camps are increasing. That’s the reason the royals are also so busy these days and vampire spies have been sent all over the place. This damned hunter line has started again," Glow signed one after the other.

The more Glow signed, the more Elliana felt like not eating anything.

The hunter bloodline was once again starting to conspire against the vampires. Even after the peace treaty? But what was the meaning of this? Elliana placed the chocolate chips aside before fishing out her phone.

She was about to dial Aditya’s number, but she stopped at the last moment.

With what right she would call him? And what were the chances he would tell her the truth?

He might think that she was asking this for her husband and might not say anything at all. He was useless for this work. Elliana sighed.

"What has Marcello decided?" Elliana asked, guilt taking over her for creating a scent like this that might be used against the vampires, probably her husband.

"He denied it. No matter how important the black market was for him and how much he wanted to create this scent and earn profit, he wasn’t a man with no dignity. He would never help the humans.

Marcello said when a war happens, it doesn’t happen just between the people with main interests. It happens between the two species and innocent people die too," Glow signed.

Elliana hummed vaguely.

If that was the case, it meant the hunter bloodline with the rogues might attempt to attack the vampire Kingdom even before the throne ceremony. After all, that would be the easiest for them. Or was it just a distraction for something bigger?

While everyone would be busy with the annual ball which was in two days and the throne elections, they would try to infiltrate the kingdom and probably that was why they were asking for the scent-hiding perfumes.

"Glow, I want you to contact Misha. I want to see things myself. Ask her to stand in and do her job in my place. Tell Marcello I want to meet with him today. In fact, -" Elliana looked at her watch, "- ask him to leave immediately,"

Elliana stood from her place with Glow and Sasha before walking out of the lab.

She was planning to take Dexter with her today. He was the only guy who would not only become his witness and take her stand without asking another question, but he would also be useful when her whereabouts were in question.

With this thought in mind, Elliana walked to the corridor of her classes, however, before she could enter the class, she bumped into someone, the man barely holding her in place.

The hands wrapped around her waist and she jumped in place at the vibes her body felt, a shudder running down her spine.

"Be careful, blood bank," the vampire winked at her, making Elliana’s heart thump loudly as she looked into his eyes. The feeling of dread and death gnawed at her heart.

These eyes...

"Are you not going to leave me?" The man asked, and Elliana quickly left his hand, making him smirk.

"Elliana H, right?" He asked, and Glow looked at the vampire with scrunched brows.

Dexter, who saw Elliana looking at another man with such awestruck eyes, raised his brows. This was the first time he saw that kind of expression on her face. Like she wasn’t able to move her gaze away from that man.

It irked him.

"Yes, and you are?" Elliana stepped close to the man, making him immediately step back.

"Woah, invading personal space much? Not expected from a human. But then again, you probably got used to being so close to other vampires. I have seen you, playing around," The vampire said, and Elliana hummed.

"You are?" She asked again.

"What would you do if you knew? Don’t you think the mystery makes this more interesting?" The vampire pointed between her and himself before standing straight.

"Don’t worry. The name is for next time. You will see me quite a few times," the vampire winked before bending and coming close to her ears.

"Have I gotten your attention, Princess?" He asked, freezing Elliana in her place.

This wasn’t the first time someone called her Princess. Dexter and even Daniel have called her that white a few times, but...

But the way this vampire called her a princess, it was almost as if he knew she was a real princess of the vampire Kingdom.

And those eyes... those amber golden eyes that held so much resentment. Was it for her? But she didn’t even know him and -

"Hey, you okay?" Dexter shook her, and Elliana snapped out.

"Woah, don’t tell me you got smitten by the new guy. I was okay when you said you already liked someone else, but this? I won’t sit quietly this time if you screwed it," Dexter pouted, and Elliana smiled forcefully, turning to look at the man one last time, but he wasn’t there.

"The new boy? He almost looked like a man in his late twenties," Elliana said.

"Well, he is late admission. He already has two master’s degrees but he wants to expand his knowledge, or that’s what the girls who have been smitten by him are saying," Dexter explained, and Elliana hummed before she remembered what she was here for.
