"By the way, do you really think the prince would do it?" Melony asked as she looked at Elliana who wanted to use the washroom before they went so they could help her.

"I have mixed feelings about it. In the past few days, he has been obsessed with irritating Elliana for some reason, and targeting her for God knows what. Don’t we know what kind of manipulative and controlling nature he has?

So it shouldn’t come off as a surprise that he did it because he didn’t want any other boy to be close to her.

Elliana who was washing her hands, looked at her reflection and her pale reflection before sighing.

"I am good now. Thank you," Elliana said, and her friends looked at her one last time before they asked if she needed something, and when she denied it, they left.

She lay there pondering over things and everything that happened.

After a deep breath, she sighed, ready to call one person who she knew would help her without asking anything.

She dialed Marcello’s number.

"Hello? I will be reaching the Moon City soon. Have you talked to the wolves?" Marcello asked, and Elliana took a deep breath.

"Do you have Prince Vincenzo’s number?" Elliana asked.

Marcello stopped walking and looked at the number once again to confirm he was talking to the right person.

"You are Elliana, right? You are not some imposter of hers who wants to mess with me like Misha, right?" Marcello asked, and Elliana sighed.

"Just give me a straight answer, Marcello. Do you have it or not? I need some help from him. I... my friend and I were attacked by some royal guards, but I don’t think they were royal guards. So tell me do you have his number? He is the only prince I can talk to," Elliana explained, and Marcello hummed.

His heart skipped a beat at her words. If it had been earlier, she would’ve just asked him if he had the number or not and carried on with her work. But now she was open enough to explain the reasons to him.

It was good progress in their partnership.

He nodded at himself.

"Do you want me to come over? Is it serious?" Marcello asked after some time, but Elliana shook her head.

"I am fine," she whispered.

Marcello sighed. She really sounded like a little girl who was shocked and hurt right now.

Even she has her moments of weakness, and it irked him that he couldn’t be there for her when she has been for everyone.

"I have his number. I am sending it to you. Also, no matter how close you are to any prince, don’t trust them blindly. They have the reputation of hurting you when you are least expecting it," Marcello said.

Elliana hummed vaguely. She didn’t need to be told that. She has seen plenty of examples of that happening.

Elliana ended the call and looked at the number Marcello messaged with a deep sigh.

She knew when Mr. Marino would hear that she rather called Vincenzo but not him, he would not only be worried, but pissed. But she needed his help right now.

She dialed Vincenzo’s number and waited for him to pick it up.

"Hello, this is Prince Vincenzo speaking," Vincenzo said, and judging from the noise in the background it was clear he was rushing a few things.

"Hello, is anyone -"

"Hello," Elliana’s voice was barely a whisper, but it was enough for Vincenzo to drop the files that he quickly picked.

He turned off the loudspeaker feature and placed the phone near his ears.

"Princess?"

How could he not recognize this voice?

Elliana smiled softly. His voice was still as friendly and affectionate as ever.

"Is there something you want to say?" He asked after patiently waiting for a few seconds, and Elliana hummed.

"Before I mention it to you, can you promise me you won’t share it with Mr. Marino?" She asked, and Vincenzo’s brows furrowed.

A secret she wanted to keep. He didn’t like the sound of it, but he also knew if he didn’t agree, she wouldn’t tell him anything about it.

"I won’t. Tell me what it is," Vincenzo said, nodding at his subordinate to stay out of the cabin for further instructions.

"I... can you come to the hospital to pick me up? I am kind of hurt. Some vampires attacked," Elliana whispered, and Vincenzo immediately felt his heart skipping a beat.

"You are hurt? What happened? Did you get into a fight with someone? Who the heck dared to lay a hand on you? Why won’t you call Sebastian? He will be pissed and -" Vincenzo paused when he heard slight sniffing, and his heart melted.

Was she crying? The poor girl must’ve been shaken up.

"I will be there in twenty minutes. Don’t worry, Princess. We won’t leave anyone who dared to lay a hand on you. They will get what they deserve," Vincenzo ended the call and rushed out of the cabin with his car keys, his aura immediately changing to anguish, and Angelo, who was passing the corridor, raised his brows at his brother who is usually as calm as Moon.

Meanwhile, Elliana lay there with her eyes closed, her abdomen hurting terribly.

She winced and rubbed her belly for a few minutes, closing her eyes to ease the pain. After a few minutes, she heard someone knocking on the door, and thinking it was Vincenzo, she sighed.

"Come in," she said, and the door opened.

She was ready for all kinds of questions she would be asked, but seeing it wasn’t Vincenzo, but the person she least expected to see, entering the room, her gaze that had softened, became hard again.

"How are you feeling, Elliana? I hope I am not disturbing you," Aditya walked to her.

Elliana’s gaze raked up and down his body, observing the bandages on his body and she quirked her brows when she noticed apart from those cuts on his body that weren’t even that deep, and the bandage on his hand, he was walking fine.

"It’s funny how you were the one getting beaten up but I am the one on the bed roughened up like this," Elliana said absentmindedly, and Aditya immediately froze in his place.

He quickly smiled before dismissing her statement with an awkward laugh.

"You have a knack for joking at all the serious times, don’t you? Anyway, I am here to thank you. I am grateful to you. If you hadn’t been there and probably stopped them, then I might’ve not lived to see this moment," Aditya said.

He came closer to her and sat on the edge of her bed, making her quirk her brows.

She was about to tell him it was nothing, and she would’ve done it for any friend when they heard the sound of someone fumbling the doorknob.

"It must be -" Elliana couldn’t complete her sentence because the next moment she saw Madeline walking to her, and without saying anything she slapped Elliana hard across the face, making her face whip to the side.

"You bitch! How dare you still seduce my fiance in broad daylight?" Madeline roared.

"Madeline!" Aditya shouted in anger.

"What is going on here?" They heard another voice, and Elliana looked towards the door, her body relaxing immediately.

"Prince Vincenzo," Elliana whispered, and Vincenzo looked at the girl who just slapped his Glory.

He didn’t look at Elliana, he looked at Aditya before nodding at him.

"You are the council head’s son, right?" He asked, and Aditya nodded in return.

"This is -" Vincenzo looked at the girl who immediately stood straight and smiled like she wasn’t the one humiliating his friend just now.

"I am Mad -"

Everyone looked at the scene shocked as they saw Madeline falling on the ground.

Elliana gasped.

"Normally, I am a gentleman but I don’t like when some nasty woman thinks they can lay a hand on my people. How dare you?" Vincenzo asked as he rolled his sleeves to his elbows, his eyes looking down at Madeline in disdain, who was still on the ground, shocked to the core.
