Chapter 249: His wife

Beautiful. Amazing. Astonishing. Stunning. Worth moaning over? If that was even a compliment.

That’s exactly how Sebastian Marino was looking right now, and Elliana wasn’t ready to handle this kind of handsomeness right when she became shameless last night and was trying to get back into her innocent role.

This was the first time she was seeing him in a proper royal attire, and it was more than enough for her to take off her -

Elliana coughed to put a pause to her thoughts as she looked at her man, whose gaze was focused on everyone as if he were looking at his mere peasants.

He was wearing his usual black shirt and pants, but the red royal overcoat he was wearing, which reached his knees, and his hair that wasn’t styled back completely like every day was making him extra alluring.

Some of his hair was curled in front while the rest were let loose, giving him a royal look.

Though he was wearing his mask, he looked enchanting.

"Sebastian Marino," the guard announced his presence, and everyone looked at him warily, trying to be in their own character while looking at him.

She didn’t know if he would like to talk to her in front of so many people and she didn’t want to be a distraction either, that’s why she turned around, trying her best to control her raging heart that was probably audible to the entire hall.

She took a deep breath and drank a glass of water before huffing.

His beauty was unparalleled for someone who doesn’t like showing his face to anyone.

"Won’t you go and greet your husband?" Angelo teased her, seeing the blush on her cheeks, and Elliana smiled humbly.

"Well, you should know why I am not going there," she said, and Angelo looked at her with pity again.

Sebastian looked around at all the people who were looking back at him with wariness. A smirk appeared on his lips as he let half of his aura flare and everyone gulped, everyone apart from the royal family, who stared back at him with the same intensity

He started descending the stairs, his gaze now focused on his grandfather.

"Grandfather, Grandma," Sebastian said as soon as he reached them, and Abramo looked at him with cold eyes.

"Why is it grandfather and not grandpa?" Abramo asked as he pulled him for a hug, and Sebastian smiled bitterly.

"Because my grandpa wouldn’t have done what you are doing to me," Sebastian said, his eyes blazing fire as he tilted his head.

"Stop it you two. We have guests at home. This is a party, and I would prefer it stays that way," Aubrey immediately butted in before things could become heated.

"Don’t worry, Grandma. I won’t spoil the royal family’s image, your happiness, or my princess’s first party in the royal Kingdom," Sebastian turned to where Elliana was standing with his brother and second mom.

"Your princess?" Aubrey asked.

"The human girl grandpa forced me to marry thinking that it was a good decision to get a human girl for the person who hates humans with a passion," Sebastian said.

His actions and words were completely different from how Abramo met him last time, and he narrowed his brows.

Did something happen between them? He thought until his gaze shifted to his neck. Abramo’s pupils dilated when he looked at the distinct bite mark on his youngest grandson’s neck, which he would’ve healed if he wanted to, and it didn’t take long for Aubrey to notice it either.

She looked at her husband, who looked away, clearly knowing that their grandson was flaunting this mark deliberately, something that Abramo had once done in his days.

"It runs in the genes, I guess," Aubrey said, and Abramo chuckled awkwardly.

"Well, let’s start the party," Abramo said, and Sebastian hummed before he looked at his wife again, who wasn’t looking at him anymore.

He turned around, following her line of sight, and his brows quirked when he noticed Alcinder, Samantha, Daniel, Dexter, and Drake coming together.

’Sir, it’s better if you make your emotions clear. You clearly don’t love her. Let the girl have her love life in university at least. You are going to leave her sooner or later, so it’s better she has someone to rely on,’ Miss Zoya’s words rang in his head as he saw her ears turning red.

His eyes drooped, and his grandparents immediately felt the change in his aura from neutral to dark.

"Let’s start the dancing routine. Scarlet is also here," Aubrey said, snapping Sebastian out of whatever thoughts he had.

Elliana, turned around, her hands getting sweaty with all the nervousness she was feeling.

Her friends were there. She can’t take this chance. She has to find a way to get out of here as quickly as possible. But for that to happen, she needed a solid reason.

She knows she would be disrespecting the family, but getting her identity revealed like this wasn’t in her plans, not for now when things are already becoming too messy.

Elliana looked around, her gaze meeting with Stephano.

Why was he looking at her like that? As if he knew what was going on inside her mind? Elliana bit her lower lips.

"Would you like to be part of the first routine?" Angelo quirked his brows at her.

"I don’t think so. Mr. Marino is busy, and I am sure he won’t like it if I am having my first royal dance with anyone else," Elliana said, looking at Angelo who was looking at something behind her.

"Why would you have to have your first dance with anyone else when I am here?" Sebastian whispered into her ears before he grabbed her hand and pushed her forward, pulling her back with a jerk, making her back hit his chest.

"How can you think that your husband wouldn’t want to dance with you? Hmm? After everything your husband did for you, how can you? After how he pleasured you?" Sebastian whispered and slid his hands down hers before intertwining his fingers with her as he placed his face in the crook of her neck with his mask intact.

He inhaled her scent, calming his nerves immediately before he raised his gaze at Angelo, who immediately stepped back from them.

Everyone followed Angelo’s actions and gave the couple their privacy, more like gave the youngest and most cruel vampire his privacy with his bride.

Elliana’s heartbeat picked its pace. She was well aware that she was the center of attention right now, and as much as she hated it, she liked what Sebastian was doing to her.

"Will you honor me with your first dance, princess?" Sebastian turned her around, and sat on his knees for her, making the entire royal family raise their brows at him.

Even if this was just a pretense for his grandpa to see, Sebastian was doing a damn good job at it.

"Shall I?" Elliana whispered back, batting her eyelashes at him innocently, a bit annoyed that he left her to come here alone.

"Are you throwing a tantrum, princess?" He asked, his eyes glistening darkly, and while everyone would’ve mistaken it for him being angry, Elliana who had spent her entire time reading his eyes knew that he was merely amused at her.

"Will you bear with me if I am?" Elliana asked with one of her famous innocent looks and Sebastian looked down at the ground before smiling.

He knew what she was doing. She was helping him create a positive image of their relationship in front of the elders so that his grandfather could see he knew how to take over his anger and handle the responsibilities handed over to him.

However, who was supposed to tell this girl that she didn’t need to do all this? That he didn’t need to prove anything to anyone, and she didn’t need to try so hard. All she needed to do was act like herself and everything would be fine.

"Sebastian," Sebastian heard someone calling from behind him, and he raised his brows.

Sebastian immediately turned to his eldest sister, his gaze shifting to the annoying sister-in-law she had.

Brooklyn Pears.

"Well, isn’t this surprising? You are here at the party, not throwing a tantrum already," Brooklyn said. Elliana could feel the jealousy coursing through her veins when she saw Sebastian kneeling in front of a mere human.

Elliana didn’t like it. The way this girl raked her husband’s body up and down, she didn’t like any second of it, and her anger started to flare up, making Sebastian immediately turn to her when he felt the shift in her aura.

He looked at his wife and saw her glaring at Brooklyn, smiling inwardly.

This stupid girl.

Sebastian sighed and grabbed her hand before kissing the back of it through the mask.

He stood from his place and without waiting for her reply, he picked her up in bridal style.

"Whatever tantrum you want to throw at me, princess, whatever issues you have, I assure you that I’ll make you for it. I’ll make it up for you by pleasing you until you are satisfied. Let’s have our first dance first, yeah?" Sebastian didn’t lower his voice, his words reaching everyone’s ears and they looked at him gently placing his human wife in the middle of the hall.

To say Elliana was embarrassed would be an understatement. Her entire face looked like it was burning up because of what Sebastian said.

"Let the dance begin," Abramo announced, and everyone came forward with their partners, Elliana’s gaze meeting with Alcinder’s who was looking straight at her, and she hid behind Sebastian’s talk form, gulping a little.
