The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 248: When he looked at her, nothing else mattered.

Chapter 248: When he looked at her, nothing else mattered.

Elliana walked around the food aisle, her index finger moving across the table softly as she observed everything, her gaze shifting to each vampire in the room until her gaze stopped on one man who had been tailing her for the past twenty minutes.

And no, it wasn’t Vincenzo or Stephano.

It was Angelo, Sebastian’s fifth brother. And as much as she liked her peace, his presence didn’t bother her too much.

He was comfortable to be around, and she was happy that there was someone from the royal family who wasn’t treating her like a delicacy but a normal person.

She came to know that King Abramo had four kids. They were Giotto, Noah, Carla, and Leonardo.

Even when all of them were best in their own manner, Leonardo, Sebastian’s father was chosen as the heir to the throne, despite being the youngest of all of them.

Combining all cousins, there were around 10 brothers and sisters in the family.

The eldest was Scarlet and the youngest was Sebastian.

Ex-king Leonardo was the only person who had one kid, Sebastian. He died sometime after Sebastian was born, and though they say it was all because of a sickness, some think it was some kind of conspiracy.

"So, do you like it here?" Angelo stood at a respectful distance from her, and she smiled before nodding.

"It’s not bad. Everyone seems to be very kind, a contrast to what I had thought, not going to lie," Elliana said.

"Well, a part of it is because it’s a party and no one wants to taint their reputation in front of the elders, and all the important Dukes and council members," Angelo said.

"Council members?" Elliana asked, immediately going into alert mode.

"Yes. Did you really think only you humans have a council? We don’t? The council members have arrived, and the second and third royal families will arrive soon. They are like distant relatives of the royals so they are given the status of the royal family based on their powers and dominance in the vampire world," Angelo explained, and Elliana smiled forcefully.

"Oh," she mumbled distantly.

If the council members and the royal families are going to come along with other important figures, then all her friends are going to be here.

What if anyone recognizes her? Elliana bit her lips in nervousness.

"The other part of why everyone is being nice to you and not thinking of messing with you is because Sebastian isn’t here," Angelo added.

"Mr. Marino?" Elliana asked, surprised that everyone would be wary of the youngest member of the family even in his absence.

"Hmm, if that’s what you call him. He influences the vampire kingdom. No one here knows what kind of relationship you two have.

Like, we know that it mustn’t be too good since we know he hates humans with a passion, and we kind of pity you for that. But still, no one would dare to touch you or go against you until he is here and everyone is sure of your relationship with him," Angelo described, and for some reason, Elliana felt proud of her husband.

"It looks like I have no choice but to make him fall in love with me," Elliana smiled and Angelo chuckled at her.

"Exactly," he joined her in the joke.

"So... Is Mr. Marino really the strongest of you all? Is no one at par with him?" She asked and before Angelo could answer Freya came back after talking to her husband.

"Well, among boys, for sure. There was someone who was almost on par with him among sisters. My eldest daughter," Freya smiled sadly.

"I would surely like to meet her if she is here," Elliana said, her eyes drifting to Angelo, who shook his head at her.

"Even I would like to meet her, Princess Elliana. However, unfortunately, she is not with us anymore," Freya said, and Elliana immediately held her hand.

"I am sorry," She whispered, feeling sympathetic, and Freya shook her head.

"It’s not your fault. We lost our daughter by our own actions. She was...mute and limped a bit. We probably never gave her the kind of attention she deserves. So to get her good treatment and make her stay with people who were exactly like her and would’ve understood her, we admitted her into an organization," Freya gulped, and Elliana thinned her lips.

She didn’t like what this lady was saying.

These were the kinds of parents who abandoned their children. Her girls were abandoned just like that.

"Why are you feeling sad? It was your decision. You pushed your daughter away yourself. You did it to her.

When she needed her family the most because she knew the world would never understand her, you pushed her away because you had so many other kids, but who did she have? You treated her differently when all she needed was to be treated like everyone," Elliana felt her emotions rising, and Miss Zoya looked at the girl wide-eyed.

She didn’t expect her princess to be so bold to say such words to the royal second queen. As much as she believed that Princess’s words were true, she knew that her words would come with consequences.

"Princess," Miss Zoya warned Elliana, but Freya shook her head at the caretaker.

"You are right. There’s no one else but us to blame for what happened to our daughter. We thought she would be happy with her like people, but something bad happened and we lost her forever," Freya said, her eyes tearing up.

Elliana stood there frozen in her place. She didn’t know how to react.

’Do you even know what kind of girls you have with yourself? Do you know their background? What dominance do they hold or how powerful they are?’ Marcello’s words echoed in her head, and she looked at Freya before gulping.

The chances were really minimal, but what if one of the girls she saved that day was actually royalty? Most of the girls in her group were mute or deaf and three girls limped too. All of them were powerful. So the possibility of -

"Can I... Can I see a picture of her, if you don’t mind?" Elliana asked, and Miss Zoya quirked her brows.

For someone who wasn’t related to the royal family, and this was her first time here, the princess was quite interested in the royal princess.

"Sure, why would I have a -" Freya paused.

Everyone in the hall stopped talking, their gaze shifting to the entrance.

If Elliana’s entrance had an impact on the royals since she was new and probably the human who made it to the royal kingdom in one piece, that was nothing in front of what kind of impact this new person brought.

Elliana looked at Angelo and Freya who were looking at something behind her, and she narrowed her eyes before turning around.

As soon as she turned around, her heart skipped a beat before it thumped loudly. She stood there in amazement, her hands on her dress immediately becoming sweaty as her heart increased its pace.

Freya, who was closest to Elliana, snapped back and looked at the girl, hearing her heart pounding at such an enormous speed, making her raise her brows.

It surprised her, but what surprised her more was that Elliana wasn’t scared of him. She was in pure awe and amazement. She looked in love.

Freya’s eyes softened for the girl who would probably get her heart broken. As much as she knows though Sebastian is a good kid with anger issues and a bit of a psychopath and acts psychotic with the greatest dominance among all, she also knows that nothing in this world would make him fall for a human.

If he was acting nicely, it was probably all for the throne and nothing more.

Freya sighed and was about to place her hand on Elliana’s shoulders when she paused momentarily, her gaze meeting with Sebastian’s cold ones, that had a clear message - Don’t touch her.

His gaze met with Elliana, who was looking at her with wide eyes and his eyes raked her up and down, taking in every inch of her body, practically drinking her beauty before they stopped back at her eyes.

’And when he looked into her eyes, nothing else mattered,’ Sebastian thought before signing.

Nothing else mattered.

She looked otherworldly, but more than that, in this red dress, she looked his.

His Princess. Sebastian tore his gaze from her before looking at his brother Stephano who was looking back at him with his signature smirk.

’Jerk,’ Stephano mouthed to him, and Sebastian rolled his eyes.
