The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 246: She was his Glory

Chapter 246: She was his Glory

"Princess Elliana Sebastian Marino," The guard announced her first visit to the family like every royal, and Elliana stood at the entrance of the palace with a neutral expression on her face as she stretched her lips into a soft smile.

Her powers, who are always hungry for attention, started making their presence known, and her aura immediately changed from being nervous to empowered.

Miss Zoya, who was helping her with the dress, felt her body freezing at the sudden chills that ran down her spine and she left the dress.

"Princess -" she looked at her human princess, amazed by the confidence she immediately executed as soon as she stepped up on the last stair.

"I will be fine, Miss Zoya," Elliana smiled at her before she turned towards the inside of the hall where almost every eye was on her.

Since the theme of the party was a masquerade ball, she was wearing a matching black butterfly mask, that hid more than half of her face.

"She is remarkable," Aubrey’s eyes sparked as she looked at the princess, feeling the same energy that she had once felt when Valentina, Sebastian’s mom, had made her first presence in the royal family.

"I know, right? She is perfect for our Sebastian. You haven’t seen how he is with her. Just wait till he is here, and you’ll see the change I was talking about," Abramo said.

Stephano, who heard the announcement immediately excused himself from the Duchess he was talking to and turned to the large gates.

He looked at the girl who was oozing the same vibes that he had once felt, and if possible, even more strong. He smiled at everyone who was looking at her with anticipation, their powers suppressing automatically with her presence.

This was what he was talking about.

There was something weird about this girl. Whenever she is present around you, you will know. Her presence and the aura she has had that kind of affect.

Seeing Sebastian not standing with her, he couldn’t help but smirk. Wasn’t it like a free pass to tease her even more?

But wait.

Why was everyone standing like this? Shouldn’t someone step up and address her? Or were they not stepping up because they wanted her to become comfortable first? Stephano sighed.

Meanwhile, near the sitting area where some Dukes were already discussing the security systems, Vincenzo sat lazily, hearing them talk nonsense when none of them actually stepped up to take the risk.

He was lost in his own thoughts of everything that was going around them.

As he sipped his drink, dazed, his hand suddenly froze in mid-air when he smelt it. The familiar smell. The familiar presence near him.

"Isn’t she beautiful?" One of the men near him said, and Vincenzo turned to the entrance of the gates, his pupils dilating as he took in her presence.

He was shocked.

He was happy.

He was thrilled but angry.

Frustrated and annoyed and relieved at the same time.

This girl... His hands clenched around the glass, and he placed the file in his lap to the side of the sofa messily, his gaze not wavering from the Princess.

"Let’s go," Miss Zoya said after a few seconds passed, and Elliana nodded softly.

She descended the first stair, her gaze sweeping over everyone softly before it stopped at Vincenzo briefly.

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him standing from his place, looking directly at her, and she diverted her gaze to somewhere else as she descended another step.

Stephano, who was watching her descending like a true royalty, smiled inwardly as he started walking towards her to take her hand like a gentleman.

Freya stood at some distance and smiled at the beautiful princess. It looks like the human princess would do just fine on her own. She thought and was about to walk to her like a good in-law so that she didn’t feel nervous when she saw Stephano walking towards the princess.

She sighed helplessly, hoping that he wouldn’t do something that would make Sebastian angry later.

As she sipped her drink, she noticed that for the first time, Vincenzo also stood from his place and was walking towards the princess.

Seeing both the princes trying to be chivalrous to the human princess, Freya nodded at herself.

No matter how they act with each other most of the time, at least they still know when to show respect to family.

Vincenzo kept looking at the princess even when she wasn’t looking at him.

He might have not been able to identify her if she wasn’t wearing a mask. However, now that she was wearing this half-mask, how could he forget these eyes? How could he not recognize them?

Stephano was about to reach the princess and take her hand, but he was shocked when Vincenzo stepped ahead, blocking his way to the princess.

He narrowed his eyes.

What the hell was his brother doing? Why was Vincenzo acting like that? Stephano was about to call him to warn him about not being too harsh on her, knowing how serious his younger brother could be.

However, what happened next, not only shocked Stephano, but the entire royal family who were watching the princess and how she was walking so elegantly.

Vincenzo looked at the princess, standing right in front of her, his eyes asking millions of questions, which Elliana didn’t have any answer to.

Everything blurred around him as he looked at the girl. He had never thought that his friendship with her was so strong and so deep.

What started with small curious meetups changed into so much more...

Vincenzo bowed his head before he sat on his left knee in front of her, making everyone gasp.

Elliana’s eyes quivered. And her hands around her dress clenched. She stopped, her body freezing in its place. She was ready to nullify and reject all his questions about her identity, but how could she act cold after seeing him being like this?

Miss Zoya was prepared to counter everything and help her princess deal with all kinds of stuff, but how was she supposed to deal with this situation?

The noble prince of the royal family, who was known to have never bowed in front of anyone, was not only bowing in front of the princess but was kneeling in front of her.

Everyone waited, unsure of what was going on.

Stephano, who was shell-shocked looked at the princess and then at his brother, unsure of what to think.

Yes, her aura was strangely powerful for a human being, but it wasn’t so powerful that it would make a vampire prince kneel in front of her.

"Mr. -" Elliana stated, and Vincenzo chuckled.

"Mr.? Complete it, princess," Vincenzo glared at Miss Zoya, who immediately backed away in fear when her gaze met with his red dark ones.

He looked around, and all the guards and guests immediately stepped back, unsure of what made their calm and collective prince so angry.

Vincenzo turned back to Elliana, his gaze immediately turning soft.

"Complete it. Call me the name you always used to," Vincenzo raised his hand to cup her cheeks, but stopped midway.

He fisted his hand before pulling it down and taking a deep breath.

He never touched her without her permission, and even now, he will not.

"Mr. Vampire, call me that," Vincenzo said, his patience running thin.

"Why would I call you that, Mr. I am sure you have a name. Judging from your aura, you are probably my husband’s brother. It was nice to meet you, Elder brother-in-law," Elliana bowed softly and was about to walk past him when he held her wrist, making her pause.

Every word she said pierced his heart, hurting him more than a dagger would’ve.

"You can’t lie forever, Glory. I know it’s you," Vincenzo said.

Elliana turned to him, her gaze quivering and trembling for a second when she noticed the longingness in his eyes. She felt her heart skip a beat again but she quickly composed herself.

"I don’t know who she is, but I am sure whatever you had with her was epic and loving," Elliana’s words were soft, and Vincenzo nodded.

"It was. So just don’t lie to me, please. You have no idea how long I searched for you," Vincenzo gulped, his throat dry.

"I am your sister-in-law, Mr. I hope you get that thing in your mind as quickly as possible. My husband won’t like the way you are holding my hand," Elliana softly pulled back her hand.

"You are not doing right, Princess. You have no idea what my wrath looks like," Vincenzo said, his eyes turned dark red in frustration again and Elliana smiled at him softly, stepping ahead.

"Mr. Vampire, it’s time you understand that I am no damsel in distress either. Funny of you to think I am the heroine of this story who needs a hero to protect her," Elliana looked straight into his eyes, showing the same fire he had seen once.

"You...what did you call me-"

"The same thing you wanted me to say, Mr. Till later, brother-in-law," Elliana quickly changed her demeanor before she started walking ahead, leaving a shocked Vincenzo behind.

No one heard what they talked about, and no one understood what was wrong with their prince, but judging from how angry he looked, it was clear he didn’t like this human princess, and he made it quite clear.

Vincenzo, on the other hand, who had deliberately said those words, smiled inwardly.

He finally found her. No matter what she said, it was the truth. She was Glory. His glory.
