Chapter 245: Wait for the Princess
Chapter 245: Wait for the Princess
"Will this be really okay?" Elliana asked for the umpteenth time, and Miss Zoya looked at the girl before smiling proudly.
Currently, she was standing in the palace getting ready for her first royal entrance into the royal family.
Today will be the first day when she will finally see Mr. Marino’s real family, and to say she was nervous would be an understatement.
"This is more than okay, princess. Hold your chin high when you look at them. You already are so graceful and executing such beautiful vibes," Miss Zoya took a deep breath.
"Princess, don’t think they are any different from you or you are any less from them," Miss Zoya said.
Elliana looked at herself in the mirror before nodding.
Standing in front of her, staring back at her through the mirror’s reflection was a beautiful girl. She blinked her eyes innocently.
Her face was glowing today because of the little highlighter Miss Zoya applied to her face.
Her hair was done in a Greek-style half-braided updo. The frontal part of her hair was braided in a side Dutch braid, cascading to the back of her head, held by a beautiful lily flower pin. The rest of her hair was cascaded on her shoulders and back with soft curls that made her look nothing less than the royalty who was ready to wear her crown.
The theme of the party was a typical red and black combination, and thus, Elliana was wearing a red gown that had soft frills, with long hanging slit sleeves that reached her knees.
There was a small train to her dress, making the base of her skirt slide on the ground. She was wearing small black gloves in her hand with a red sapphire ring on her index finger.
Rather than her favorite cute little earrings, Elliana was wearing long dangling black string earrings with a bell design at the bottom as they were. reached her neck.
Though Miss Zoya wanted to go all good on the makeup to make her look more beautiful, just with a little blush and highlighter, she felt that the princess looked otherworldly.
Elliana’s beauty was impeccable, at a level that even the most vampire girls couldn’t reach. Miss Zoya didn’t know if it made any sense, but it looked like Elliana was only growing more beautiful and alluring with each passing day.
After contemplating for some time, Miss Zoya applied blackish-red eyeshadow to the corner of her eyelids and an elegant eyeliner along with mascara.
"Princess, wear this bracelet. Can you take off this locket so that I can -"
"No," Elliana smiled.
No matter what happens or if she doesn’t look beautiful or presentable, she won’t take off the only gift of her mother.
"Will Mr. Marino be late?" Elliana asked after some time, and Miss Zoya nodded.
"The prince had something to attend to, he will directly reach there. The orders are to take you there for now," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana nodded as they walked out of the room.
She held her dress in her hands, descending the stairs softly, making all the maids and guards look at her in awe.
"Oh my god," the chef who was bringing juice for the princess so that she could feel refreshed, exclaimed, and Elliana smiled at him.
"Do I look okay?" She asked, feeling nervous.
"Okay? You are the most beautiful I have ever seen. If I was a witch, I would’ve cast some kind of spell on you to protect you from the evil eye," the chef said, and Elliana smiled before drinking the juice and tapping her lips with the napkin softly.
"Let’s go," Elliana took a deep calming breath, and Miss Zoya smiled.
"Miss Zoya, should we send a picture to the prince?" The chef stopped the caretaker, who looked at the princess briefly before shaking her head.
"No. Let him be surprised for once. He will see her when they meet at the royal palace. I’ll be accompanying the princess," Miss Zoya said, and the chef nodded, going back to the kitchen.
Miss Zoya held the princess’s dress to help her as they walked to the car.
It was around an hour’s journey because of the heavy traffic.
Meanwhile, in the royal Kingdom, King Abramo walked down the stairs with his wife Queen Aubrey to see the preparations and attend to the guests that were starting to arrive.
"I still don’t understand why the kids wanted to do the party so early," Aubrey said, and Abramo shrugged.
"What can I say, I can never understand what goes inside their heads anymore," Abramo said.
"That human princess will be arriving shortly," Abramo looked at his wife, who quirked her brows.
"The human princess? What is this term? Doesn’t she have a name? Same species or different, she is a family now. And what do you mean she will be arriving? Will Sebastian not join us?" Aubrey asked, her eyes already changing colors.
"Don’t get angry, my queen. He will arrive a bit late. He went for some work in the western regions. I am not sure, but I heard that some sirens were seen in the area," Abramo said.
"Sirens? Since when did the sirens have the audacity to come to our kingdom? Is the security of our kingdom becoming so weak? How did they even enter the regions without asking for our permission?" Aubrey asked, and Abramo chuckled at his wife who was a hell lot scarier when she got into her queen role.
As Abramo and Aubrey walked to the main hall, they saw Stephano and Vincenzo sitting on the couch casually as they talked about nothing in particular.
"Is it just me or does it look like they are waiting for someone to arrive?" Aubrey looked at her grandsons who were looking at every person entering the palace, though not making any efforts to greet them.
"I am sure you are just overthinking it. Do these guys consider someone this important that they would be excited to see?" Abramo chuckled, and Aubrey pressed her lips into a thin line.
"Freya, dear," Aubrey stood at the last stair, calling her second daughter-in-law, wife of their second son, Noah.
"What is it, mother?" Freya walked to Aubrey as she extended her hand to help her mother-in-law.
"Look at those two. Doesn’t it look like they are waiting for someone?" Aubrey referred to her two grandsons who were now joined by Matilda, who sat near them.
"No, mother. It doesn’t look like that. They are actually waiting for someone. They are waiting for Prince Sebastian and his wife to arrive. This is the first time she will be here, and they are pretty excited," Freya smiled at their sons’ excitement.
They were acting as if some kind of human toy was about to enter the palace they could enjoy, and as much as everyone knows that this wasn’t the right behavior since they could scare the girl, they couldn’t do anything about it until the girl arrived.
"Grandpa? Why don’t you call that jerk and ask them when they are arriving?" Stephano turned to Abramo, who rolled his eyes.
He had seen how much his elder grandson teased that human girl and couldn’t help but sigh.
"Stephano, behave," Abramo said, and the latter huffed and turned around, watching the guests arrive with a scowl on his face.
"Son Vincenzo, you are also supporting him in his madness?" Freya looked at him, and the man just shrugged.
"I am bored, second mom. Besides, even I would like to see who this girl is who has brother Stephano’s attention," Vincenzo said even when he was itching to meet this princess and confirm a few things himself.
"Well, you guys are beyond me. You can wait for Sebastian and his wife, but start attending the guests first, will you?" Freya smiled helplessly before walking away, and Stephano sighed.
After thirty minutes, the car finally stopped in front of the large mansion, and Elliana took a deep breath, her heart beating loudly, making Miss Zoya sigh.
"I can hear your heart, Princess," she said.
"And I hope you can keep hearing it," Elliana commented, and Miss Zoya chuckled.
"You are not going to get killed, Princess. No one in the kingdom dares to touch what belongs to our prince without his permission," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana smiled nervously.
"Well, if that was supposed to be reassuring, it did," Elliana took a deep breath, and nodded at Miss Zoya who rushed to the other side of the car and helped her out of the car.
"Let’s go," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana looked at Ambrose.
"If I die today, just tell your prince that it’s all because he left me alone," Elliana said, and Ambrose pressed his lips into a thin line, barely containing his smile as he looked at his exaggerating princess.
Almost all the guests were inside the mansion already. Miss Zoya really took the term fashionably late to heart.
"Don’t be afraid," Miss Zoya reminded Elliana, and she smiled.
"Easy for you to say. You are not a human who is going to be in a party full of the most powerful vampires," Elliana forced a smile on her face.
