"What the hell?! Why are these wolves only killing my rogue vampires? Who the f*ck are you?!" Maze shouted again as he ran towards the girl himself.

The girl smiled inside her mask and looked at Maze, grabbing his neck with her free hand as she looked straight into his eyes through her shades.

Maze felt the familiar feeling of grabbing a human, and his eyes widened slightly.

Her eyes glowed behind the shade, and Maze felt a weird fear traveling inside his body. It was indescribable. It felt like every cell in his body was telling him not to touch her.

His moment of surprise was enough for the girl to plunge her dagger straight into his abdomen and then stab his shoulders, and thighs before she kicked the back of his knees, making him kneel in front of her.

She grabbed a fistful of his hair before yanking his head up.

Lucas looked at the girl who was only 10 m away from her and noticed how powerful her stance was. And the way she was holding Maze... Did she have some personal feud with this man?

Could it be that they got lucky just now because this girl decided to avenge whatever humiliation she suffered because of these guys?

"Who am I?" The girl whispered into Maze’s ears.

Her voice was so soft that apart from Maze no one could hear her, not even Sebastian.

"Don’t you recognize me? How could you forget me so soon? I am the mistake you made today," she whispered into his ears, slicing the side of his neck slowly, making him tremble in his place.

"Isn’t it funny? You don’t drink human blood, and guess what? I don’t feel triggered in shedding vampire’s blood," the human girl said.

A human girl. The same human girl!

"B-but why only us?" He wanted to know, and the girl scoffed.

"Because I love the other one," she said, and Maze looked at Lucas whom she had started protecting as soon as she had come.

Maze looked back into her eyes and was about to remove her shades to see if she was really the same girl who looked so scared and was trembling in front of them in the afternoon when a wolf ran over him and separated them, making the girl stumble back.

The wolf looked at the girl with clear warning eyes.

"Ggggrrrr!" The wolf roared at her, and she understood the warning before she stood from her place.

Sebastian saw Maze trying to run away when the wolf threw him away, and he didn’t waste a single second in running behind the culprit who could answer all of his questions.

Lucas saw the girl who was fighting right above him, protecting him from all the rogue vampires.

"Who are -" Lucas couldn’t complete his sentence when the girl held his hand and pulled him all the way to the tree to help him lean on the tree.

She sat on her foot and looked at him through her shades.

He raised his brows when the girl raised her hand and touched his vitals. She checked his pulse and pressed her fingers near his chest as if to see if he didn’t have a bad wound near his abdomen or heart or hadn’t hurt his ribs.

Once she was done checking his chest, she looked back at him before wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

She showed him a thumbs-up to tell him everything was okay, and he suppressed the urge to scoff.

Who was this girl acting like she knew him very well? What the hell she was?

"Hey! Watch out!" Lucas shouted when he saw a rogue vampire rushing towards them, and he pulled the girl towards him, the familiar feeling making his heart thump as the girl’s shades fell.

Lucas killed the rogue vampire behind the girl, but he couldn’t move after that.

This....this...feeling of hugging her petite body that has once felt so vulnerable...

Sebastian walked back, holding Maze’s collar.

"Leave me alone! I swear if you don’t leave me, more rogue vampires will come and look for you to kill you," Maze threatened, and everyone practically rolled their eyes at him.

He was in so much trouble and yet he was trying to make threats.

"Garry, call the emergency medical team I had asked you to be on standby. Get everyone checked. Since the leader is caught, no more rogues will be arriving. Get Skylar and Harry the quickest help and see if he isn’t too wounded," Sebastian started ordering everyone.

He threw Maze to George and Joseph who immediately grabbed and tied him with ropes, gagging his mouth first.

Sebastian turned to see his other members of the team and saw Lucas hugging the girl and sighed. It looks like his suspicion was right. This girl was here for Lucas.

He looked around and noticed that most of the rogue vampires were not being dealt with by the wolves, the wolves he didn’t know anything about.

He hadn’t thought there would be a day like this, but today he was really thankful to these dogs who helped him keep his team safe.

Sebastian’s team was terribly wounded, but none of them died, and it was more than a worthy achievement when they were fighting with someone who could become stronger by eating them.

Meanwhile, near the tree, Lucas’s heart thumped loudly in anticipation.

"You are -" Lucas pushed the girl away as gently as he could, and looked into her wide scared eyes that had the recognition, the recognition of knowing she was caught.

"Prin- Princess?" Lucas whispered slowly so that no one could hear it.

"What the hell are you -" Lucas couldn’t complete his sentence.

The girl pushed him away and wore her shades again before backing away from him.

She looked around, her gaze finally landing on the man who was the leader of the group, and who was directly looking at her.

The way he was staring at her was as if he knew...

With his vampire hearing, he definitely heard Lucas.

The girl backed away.

She clapped her hands, and the wolves who had almost finished all the rogue vampires looked up to her.

She signaled them to move, and they immediately understood.

"Hey! Wait! Princess! I know it’s you!" Sebastian shouted as she ran the fast as she could, and sat on the wolf as they ran away.

"Hey! Stop right there!" Sebastian ran behind the wolves to get his answers.

"Aaaaaahhhh!" Lucas shouted in agony, holding his leg and Sebastian turned to look at his man.

He wanted to go behind the wolves who were leaving at the fastest speed he had ever seen and see if that girl was really who he thought she was.

However, his team needed him right now.

Sebastian squared his jaws.

"Handle everything quickly. We are leaving in five minutes," Sebastian said as the medical team he had kept on standby arrived, and they helped the team in killing the remaining rogue vampires.

Most of the rogues were already on the ground. It wasn’t hard to stab them and ensure each of them was dead.

Sebastian looked at the forest one last time before walking to Lucas.

"You saw her, didn’t you? Who was she?" Sebastian asked.

"Sir... It... I don’t know. But she looked like the Princess," Lucas said, and Sebastian gritted his teeth before helping him up.

So his doubt was right?

After helping his men into the cars, Sebastian grabbed the water bottle and poured water on his face to rinse the blood off of him.

He fished out his phone and dialed Miss Zoya’s number to ask her if the princess was in her room or not.
