Chapter 141: The only witch to trust

Elliana went straight to the other side of the inn as soon as they returned from their shopping spree and dialed Nath’s number that he asked her to use only when it was something urgent.

Nath, who was lying on his bed with closed eyes, narrowed his eyes when he heard the weird ringing.

He doesn’t own a personal phone. So how come he is hearing such a horrendous noise?

This ringing- He opened his eyes and looked at the weird screen in front of him.

Elliana was calling him?

But why? Did something happen? He hurriedly got up and immediately clicked his fingers to see the scene of where Elliana was and what she was doing before he picked up the magical call.

"Hello?" He asked, looking at the girl through the crystal ball who was looking a bit anxious and playing with a few tree leaves.

"Nath?"

"Hmm, what is it? Did something happen?" Nath asked, and Elliana sighed in relief.

This was the first time she was calling on her accord, and she was really wary if this was the right number and would reach him since Nath clearly mentioned that it was magical and used energy.

"I... I..." Elliana looked around before sighing, and Nath patiently waited for her to tell him her problems.

"I am hearing and seeing things, Nath. I don’t know what these things are, but they are scary," Elliana said, and Nath narrowed his eyes.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Nath wanted to hear what exactly was she experiencing.

"Last night, I felt like someone was singing a song and calling out to me. It was probably just someone on the ship, but at the market -" Elliana paused before looking around.

"What happened in the market?" Nath asked, and Elliana explained everything.

Starting from how she heard those weird words and was sent to some dimension kind of thing as if some kind of prison, and though it was only five minutes, she felt like she spent hours in that thing.

Nath narrowed his eyes at her description before humming.

"Is it related to some witch stuff? Because I am not training these days? Answer me honestly, Nath. You are the only one I can trust" Elliana said, and seeing the sincere expression in her eyes, Nath cupped her cheeks.

"So I am the only one you can trust?" Nath mused, and Elliana narrowed her eyes in confusion.

"Yes, I mean, you are my only friend who knows about a witch -"

"That’s fine, princess. You don’t have to elaborate on anything anymore. I understand you well," Nath said with a satisfactory smile on his face.

It filled his heart with happiness that Elliana thinks she can trust him, and only him. Maybe Arizona was right. He shouldn’t leave her side and keep filling her heart with his love. This way when Sebastian will leave her, he will quickly take his place.

Nath smirked at his idea.

"Huh?" Elliana asked, confused.

She just wanted to say that he is her only friend who knows about witch stuff because she can’t trust Yaretzi so easily, and she doesn’t have the means to contact any other witch.

"There’s nothing to worry about, sweetheart. I told you I am here to protect you from all kinds of problems, didn’t I? It was indeed related to some witch stuff. Just understand that it was there to make up for your loss of training and to control your energy, okay?" Nath smiled, and she hummed.

"Even if it was there to protect me and you knew about it, can you inform me about it beforehand? I don’t want to make fun of myself in a crowd," Elliana said, and Nath chuckled.

"Don’t worry, love. You won’t. I’ll ensure that any protection for you comes through me now," Nath smiled.

"I will look into it further if it bothers you so much and come back with a satisfactory answer. You just enjoy your trip," Nath stepped ahead, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ears.

He narrowed his eyes. Why was it not going behind her ears? He tried again before realising, he was standing in his realm and not in front of Elliana.

He was not cupping her cheeks but thin air, looking at her through the screen.

He couldn’t help but feel stupid for thinking all those things and chuckled at himself. He was so in love with her now that he can’t leave any opportunity to imagine her in front of him now, can he? Nath sighed.

On the other hand, when Sebastian noticed that all her friends came inside the inn but Elliana was the only one who was yet to enter, he walked out of the inn, looking around to see where did she go.

He looked at her from some distance as she was standing near the other side of the inn.

He took a step ahead, realizing she was talking to someone.

All of her friends that she has made recently are here on this trip now. She had mentioned that she doesn’t have any friends from the human kingdom and never had a phone before. So who could she be talking to?

Was she talking to someone from the human kingdom? Lucas indeed mentioned something like her father coming back to the kingdom today or tomorrow.

Was she talking to him? Or was it someone else?

Sebastian’s eyes narrowed as he walked to her in long strides. What was more surprising was that he wasn’t able to hear what the other person was saying. And she was only humming.

That was strange. He was the strongest vampire prince, and his hearing capabilities were on par with the ancient vampires. So why wasn’t he able to hear the other person’s voice?

"Princess?" Sebastian asked, and Elliana froze in her place slightly before turning to him.

"Why didn’t you come inside with everyone? Is everything okay? You were talking to someone?" He approached her with a soft look, and Elliana hummed.

"I am not talking to someone, but just humming. I wasn’t feeling like going inside yet, and I knew you would be busy that’s why I didn’t call you outside," Elliana looked at him with a soft smile, and Sebastian gazed at her observantly for some minutes before humming.

"I have enough time for you. You don’t need to worry about what I am busy with when we are on vacation. What do you have in mind?" Sebastian said.

"Something that doesn’t includes us being thrown in the sea?" Elliana mused, and he glared at her, making her chuckle even more as she gripped his biceps lovingly.

As soon as the side of his biceps touched her chest, she realized that she was being too close to him and blushed scarlet red.

"I am sorry. I didn’t mean to -" Elliana stepped back, but Sebastian’s hand on her waist pulled her even closer than before.

"What are you sorry about? I am your bodyguard. It’s my duty to fulfill your wishes and desires, even if my owner is full of naughty thoughts," Sebastian pinched her jaws, and her eyes widened even more at his insinuation.

"I... That’s not true. I wasn’t thinking about anything -"

"It’s okay, Princess. I got you," Sebastian looked at her with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat and she sighed.

She got tongue-tied again. Why is it that when it comes to him, she can’t speak properly?
