Chapter 140: Suspicious prison

Chapter 140: Suspicious prison

"Pfft... Haha," Elliana laughed at Sebastian’s dark glare.

If it had been anyone else, they would’ve been scared to their wits, but Elliana couldn’t help herself anymore.

"It’s not funny, princess," Sebastian snarled at her as Lucas rushed to him.

"Princess! Tian!" Lucas shouted at them as they noticed their friends going to the water scooters one by one.

"Are you guys okay? Where did you go? Did you get hurt?" Lucas asked, and Sebastian rolled his eyes before walking away, and the subordinate looked at the princess for answers, who just laughed and shook her head.

"He is just peachy because he made us fall into the water," Elliana answered, and Lucas’s lips turned to an ’O’ shape.

"She is just enjoying the trip, looking like nothing has happened. You, on the other hand, don’t really look like you are in good shape," Boston walked to Gabrielle, who rolled her eyes as they looked at Elliana.

"I will do what I want to at the right time. You tell me why the hell are you so interested in my revenge plan? Why does it look like you have some feud with Elliana and you are using me as your person to do your work?" Gabrielle narrowed her eyes, and Boston smiled at her.

Of course, she would suspect him. He didn’t expect anything less from a politician’s daughter.

"Me? I don’t think so. I am just a spectator who enjoys some mess here and there. You are my target for sure. But it’s not because I have some problem with Elliana. It’s mostly because I love myself some cat fight," Boston chuckled, and Gabrielle rolled her eyes before tipping her hat slightly and walking to the sea to enjoy some water.

In the evening ~~~

"If any of you want to buy a few things, the market here is actually very good," Samantha said as they walked to the local inn that her father booked for them to stay.

"Elliana, you can even buy some art and craft things there. You look like the person who loves such small beautiful things. If you want, I can take you there," Samantha said, and Elliana nodded with a beaming smile.

"That would be great. You are such a good friend," Elliana pounced on Samantha’s side, and held her hand lovingly, making everyone roll their eyes as they all knew very well how flirtatious this girl can be.

After taking some rest and washing up, they walked towards the market.

"Since it’s not exactly a holiday season, this place is less crowded. In the peak times it becomes to even move here," Samantha said as they walked around the small shops, looking at all kinds of wooden pendants and lockets.

"What do you vampires really like? Something that you will feel good about receiving," Elliana asked, and Samantha, who thought she was flirting with her again, blushed.

"What gender?" Alcinder asked, his face too close between the girls, and though Elliana didn’t react a cent, Samantha’s heart quickened.

"Male. If it were you, what would you have liked?" Elliana asked.

"Your heart," Daniel responded from behind her.

Their friends looked at him at his romantic answer before looking at Elliana.

"I am not talking about food here. Besides, the person I am talking about doesn’t like things like that," Elliana said.

Daniel and the rest of the friends - "..."

She is flirting all the time. Why is it that when it comes to her, her mind and heart are blank?

Daniel sighed and picked a pendant before looking at Elliana. It would really look good on her, but he wasn’t sure if she would like a gift.

Elliana turned to the other side of the shop, narrowing her eyes when she felt something weird.

She lifted her gaze and looked at the shopkeeper who smiled at her with an enchanting look.

"What would you feel like if you were to die or vanish this very moment? What would be the last thing you will buy? Who will be the last person you would want to see?" The shopkeeper asked her, and before she could realize what was happening, she saw something sparkle in the shopkeeper’s hand.

"Elliana," A small whisper echoed in her mind, and she turned around stupidly.

"What is this?" Elliana asked Samantha.

"Elliana," She heard again, and she turned to the shopkeeper, but to her surprise, there was no one in sight.

"Who is it?" She asked, looking around.

Was she really in this vacant place that looks so black and white?

Unlike the market scene earlier, everything looked so dead and pale.

What was this place?

"Hello? Who is it?" Elliana asked, confused.

Was it some kind of witch summoning? Or why would she be in a place like this? This place looked so void of any life.

She was sure that she wasn’t sleeping, so why did it look like she was dreaming? Was she in some kind of dream?

"You are indeed special and intelligent. Then again, I didn’t expect anything less from someone under the protection of Arizona. It’s indeed a witch summoning. A witch summoning to see what you’ve got, and why they are trying to keep you safe," Elliana heard a voice, and she gulped.

"Who is it? If this is a witch summoning, why aren’t you coming in front of me? Why are you hiding?" Elliana walked through some distance before she bumped into an invisible wall.

She patted the invisible wall before following it and noticing its square shape as she tried to hit it.

So not only was this a different dimension, she was kind of a prisoner here.

Time passed, but no matter how many times she called the person who spoke earlier, no one replied, making her lose patience now.

"If you have no means or intention of talking to me, why the hell have you brought me here? Speak to me! Have you lost your mind?!" Elliana screeched.

"Elliana! Elliana!" She felt someone shaking her, and she came out of whatever daze it was.

"Are you okay? What is wrong with you? We have been calling you for the last five minutes. Where were you lost?" Dexter asked, and Elliana looked at him confused.

Last five minutes? How is that possible? It almost felt like she spent hours in that prison kind of dead dimension.

The shopkeeper in front of her did something before -

"Miss, I was trying to explain to you the significance of this stone. These were the words that the king said to his concubine before gifting this stone to her," The shopkeeper said, and Elliana looked at her with narrowed eyes before looking at her friends.

"Ye-yeah, I am sorry. I was thinking about something else," Elliana thought before smiling at them forcefully.

There is no way what is happening with her is normal.

Should she call Nathaniel and ask him what’s going on? Elliana thought before her gaze fell on a beautifully carved dagger.

"This... This is beautiful," She whispered, and Dexter looked at the dagger too.

"I should’ve known you would like these kinds of things, and here we were looking at the decoration things," Dexter chuckled at her before asking the shopkeeper about the price.

"Not this one, but this," Elliana touched the beautiful sword with a gleam in her eyes.
