Chapter 106: Elliana is a haven?

Chapter-106

The witch with all the five symbols leaned back in her chair and looked at the witches one by one, the white aura around her immediately turning a dirty gray.

"Have you forgotten your place? Or in front of whom you are opening your bitter mouth?" The witch with all the symbols asked, and the witches immediately calmed down and bowed their heads in submission.

"Where is Nath? I would like to speak to him personally about that human girl," The witch’s words held an authority that the other witches weren’t even able to lift their heads in front of her.

"We are sorry, Miss. Please don’t be angry. We forgot our place," the fire witch said, and the head Witch scoffed.

"You are sorry? You shouldn’t have lost your mind and known your place in the first place," she said.

"I know I lost my temper, Miss Arizona, but it’s all because she sang yesterday," the fire flame Witch, Karizana, said, and Arizona raised her brows.

"She sang? Did no one tell her that she is not allowed to sing?" Arizona looked at the other witches.

"She was told by a subordinate of Yaretzi. I don’t know how she found out or how much she has found about this girl, but this Yaretzi is quite cunning. She had told Elliana not to sing a song and only do it in the worse conditions. Elliana made a slip up because she wasn’t explained how lethal our words can be," the witch with moonlight thunders, Kadakali, said.

"Well, if that’s the case, I think we need to talk to this Yaretzi witch too. Which clan does she belong to?" Arizona asked, her eyes closed again, suppressing her powers and making the other witches breathe a sigh of relief.

"She belongs to the Black Stone Clan," The witch with the earth symbol, Prakrith, said, and Arizona hummed.

"I want all five of you to prepare a chant and lure Elliana into it. She is nowhere near ready to handle the kind of powers she is unraveling. I want you to put a stronger lock on her," Arizona ordered, and the witches nodded in agreement.

"The spell will demand her blood and since she is now married to the vampire prince, who will immediately smell her mysterious wounds you need to find a way to collect her blood in a way where no one suspects you," Arizona said, and she was about to form a strategy when Nath entered the area.

"Hail, Witch goddess," Nath said and nodded at all the witches.

"I heard Miss Arizona wanted to meet me. What is it?" Nath’s eyes which almost looked equivalent to a galaxy glowed as soon as he sat on the empty seat that had the universe symbol.

"Yes. I wanted to see you because I think it’s time to discuss Elliana," Arizona’s words made Nath raise his brows.

"What about her? From what I have heard, everything is going okay with her so far, isn’t it?" Nath raised his brows at the head Witch.

"What is going okay with her? I heard she sang a song. Her powers are now leaking into the environment and messing with the atmospheric layers because she can’t control them. Her hands are flowing more often than ever. What is good about it? And why the hell have you allowed a mediocre witch to train her?" Arizona asked one after the other.

"Are you blaming me?" Nath asked, the only calm person among the other five witches who weren’t even able to look into Arizona’s eyes.

"Leave," Arizona said, and the witches didn’t need to be told twice before they bowed at the head Witch and vanished into thin air.

Once Arizona noticed no one was there apart from her and Nath, she dropped her tough act and gritted her teeth.

"How is she holding so far? I heard her powers are trying to take over her mind and she had a slip-up?" Arizona’s eyes softened, the earlier anger and boldness, nowhere in sight.

Nath looked at the worried expression of the head Witch of the west kingdom and sighed.

"She is not holding it properly. The sudden change in her environment is taking a toll on her. Can I seriously not kill those humans who are messing with her? The more they mess with her, the angrier she gets and her powers start leaking," Nath massaged his forehead in annoyance.

"You know you can’t do that. It’s not our nature. We can’t kill humans for our sake no matter how cruel they become. That’s the rules of nature. They are to be protected, not harmed," Arizona stood from her place and walked to the window of the invisible ice castle.

"So we can’t do anything to those humans, but can’t we do anything to Elliana either? Can’t I teach her some self-defense techniques to use her powers and save herself from the attacks?"

"And risk her identity getting disclosed?" Arizona asked, and Nath groaned.

"Don’t ask me these questions as if I have an idea about everything. You guys couldn’t keep a tap on her when I was away training and collecting magna to help her out. How could you let her get married? Even if that was for Revenge, don’t you think you just pushed that innocent girl into a hell hole?" Nath ran his hand through his hair.

"How hard was it for you to make another human look like Elliana and place her there? But no. You had to get Elliana married. You did it deliberately, didn’t you? I can’t believe you knew nothing about it," Nath asked and walked to her.

"Are you playing with my feelings, Miss Arizona? The only reason I am here, still helping you keep this secret is because you promised me with her. You were the one who made her a safe haven for the -" Nath gritted her teeth, remembering his promise about not speaking anything about it.

"I am sorry that it played out like this, Nath, but I had no idea my witches would forget such an important thing while I was away. You and I both know that her marriage was conducted when most strong witches go to collect their magna from the annual Magna shower rain," Arizona said, and Nath scoffed.

"You have reasons about everything, but what about me? Why do you think I have been keeping an eye on her? It’s because she was supposed to get married to me!! And now I have to pretend that she is like my sister? What kind of twisted game is this?" Nath roared, the ice blocks in the ice castle cracking up.

Arizona clicked her fingers and evened those cracks before looking at Nath.

"This marriage is not everlasting," Arizona smiled.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Nath asked with narrowed eyes.

"The youngest vampire prince is keeping her as his wife only till the announcement about the throne is made. He wants to show himself as a good son, and that’s why he can’t kill her. Do you think that monster will keep a girl, who is known to be the daughter of the enemy?" Arizona walked to Nath and patted his shoulder meaningfully.

"After some time, irrespective of whether the prince becomes a king, he will leave her in a couple of months. She will be quite heartbroken. Who do you think she will need at a time like that?" A smile spread across Arizona’s lips.

"Nath, you are not the only witch who is behind her to marry her because of the mystery that revolves around her. She is something that no one knows about, and it’s better if you keep it that way. Apart from the witches, even those vampires want her," Arizona paused and looked straight into his eyes.

"If I were you, I would do anything to be by her side so that she can trust me enough when she is heartbroken. So that I can make my move on her and make her mine. I would have done that. You on the other hand can risk everything," Arizona said, and Nath growled at the head witch.

"Don’t you dare make any weird speculations! Elliana is my betrothed and she will be mine. She was mine even before she was born," Nath said, and Arizona smiled.

"Yes? Then go and f*cking care for her. If she as much as got a single scratch on her skin because some incompetent witches couldn’t take better care of her, you know what I will do. Everything aside, you know that she is my life," Arizona threatened.

"She is someone I can’t afford to lose, and the one who will define the destiny of those Sirens and witches in the long run. You better keep that haven safe, yeah?" Arizona grabbed Nath’s chin to show him who was the ultimate power here.

"I... I will keep your life safe, Miss Arizona. Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to her. I know what she means to you," Nath whispered, trying his best to not shake in front of her before vanishing into thin air.

Arizona sighed as soon as she was left alone and she clicked her fingers, smiling at the girl who was eating her food so happily in the vampire kingdom.

A tear slipped down her eyes, and she wiped them furiously before sighing.
