Chapter 132: Expendable
Chapter 132: Expendable
I glared at my father feeling nothing but hatred and rage as I stood in front of him. Clenching my fist, I continued to stare at him and at this point I was almost trembling with rage. How could he? How could one man be so evil and so cruel? I asked myself as I clenched my nails tightly, my fingernails digging into my palms but I stayed numbed to the sensations.
I stared at my father but he only stared back at me with emotionless grey eyes as he viewed me as if he had no humanity in them. He stared back at me suggesting all his wrong doings had proper reason but even though, how could he? I could take him doing that to me, treating me like I was dirt, in fact I could even forgive him for almost turning me into murderer but one thing I wouldn’t take was the stupid bullshit he pulled.
"How could you?"
My father scoffed as he narrowed his gaze at me. "You seem to have forgotten your manners girl, weren’t you taught to properly greet your elders?"
"Does it look like I give a fuck about manner?" I snapped and for a minute I saw my father’s gaze widen, he was clearly surprised by my outburst since I was known to always act docile and all that. "How could you do that? How could you go back on your word?"
"You were the one who went back on your word." My father countered with a drawl.
Right! I scoffed in disbelief. "I couldn’t kill Ravenna, I am not going to become a killer and certainly not for you!"
My father offered me a small smile before he smacked his lips and headed towards his seat. "You know, I knew that you didn’t have it in you. You’ve just always been so..."
"Weak?" I finished for him.
"Useless!" My father finished his voice cold and condescending.
I snorted in response not in the least surprised at the word he chose. Lofting my chin, I stared him down from where he sat. "You can call me whatever it is, at least I still have a soul. Instead of a coward who needs to murder people just to be able to gain control!"
Father lifted his gaze towards me and I could see the rage swimming in his eyes. "Watch your tone girl!"
"You know, something tells me that you have been thinking about it for a long time." I said to him, "You knew this would happen, you predicted this, so why bother sending me in the first place?"
"A test." My father replied bluntly, "I wanted to see if you were truly of my blood?"
"You mean see if I was a monster like you?" I asked him and a slow smile formed on his face.
Shaking his head my father leaned backwards in his seat. "Monster is an ugly word, survivor seems the best term for it!"
I was starting to get really angry and before I knew it I had walked towards him and slammed my hands down on the table. "We had a fucking agreement!" I yelled at him.
"Do not yell at me, watch your tone!" My father replied calmly from where he sat, "You might have used such brute force outside of here and if you think it’s going to work here then you are mistaken!"
At that moment as I stared at him, I really wished that I could hit him right in the face. He was nothing but an evil manipulator, twisting everything just as long as it benefits him. My fingers curled against the wood of the table as I leaned forward so I could get a closer look at him.
"You promised!" I hissed at him, "We had an agreement!" I reminded him again.
Sighing my father dismissed me by shuffling the papers on the table. "I already warned you what was going to happen should you disobey me, and right now you are paying the price!"
"And she is the price?" I asked unable to keep the disgust out of my tone.
Arching a brow up, he smiled. "You are all expendable. Your mistake was thinking you were special because you are not. She knows that and she has made her piece with it and let me tell you by the time I’m done with her, I would have mold her into something so perfect she will become the perfect weapon. Something that would made me question why I ever needed you in the first place!"
Before he could get any of the word out, I reached forward and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and I punched him in the face. I shoved him back in his seat, before I jerked him back towards me. My breathing was labored as I stared up at him.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I yelled at him in disbelief, "She is not something, she is your fucking daughter!" I roared at him angrily.
My father’s eyes widened in surprise then he glared at me. "And what the fuck are you doing?" He yelled at me as he grabbed me by the wrist trying to free himself from my iron like grip.
But he couldn’t. I jerked him towards me again, "You know for years I have endured your torment. Your sick endless manipulations, your endless tortures just for the fun of it and I let you do that to me with the condition that you wouldn’t touch her. That you would stay away from her, and wouldn’t poison her with your evil mind."
My father smirked at me, "Like I said you are all expendable!" My father roared at me in anger because I was also equally angry to, I raised my fist prepared to end it all right there and right now.
He didn’t deserve another second to breathe the air any longer! I thought to myself as I prepared to end it all but just before I could, someone grabbed my elbow stopping the punch and before I could get a good look of the person, I was flung across the room like a ragdoll.
My back collided against the wooden shelf and I groaned in pain but lifted my head up to see who my attacker was. Dread instantly filled me the moment I saw her face, the assassin my father had senr.
"E...Evie?"
