The Hero's Forsaken Princess -
Chapter 53: The Princess’ Crime
Chapter 53: The Princess’ Crime
Eve’s first revenge had gone wrong! Even Gideon didn’t expect Princess Aliyah to lose her mind and commit murder.
’She doesn’t hesitate to stab the woman repeatedly as though she is used to killing people.’ Gideon thought to himself as he watched the unfolding scene.
Eve and Gideon’s prior plan was to make Gavin fall asleep together with the female servant who framed Eve.
Gideon had also anonymously sent a message to Princess Aliyah, asking her to come to the inn to catch her cheating husband.
Eve would like to bring this up as a royal scandal so that King Solomon and Queen Amara would take action to punish Gavin.
However, things suddenly got out of hand. The serum didn’t make Gavin fall asleep but he stayed awake and ended up hallucinating.
He could see the face of the woman he desired the most in every person he would see.
When Gavin grabbed the woman and started ravishing her, Gideon decided not to interfere, thinking it was better this way so that Princess Aliyah would catch him in the act.
Besides, Gideon was aware that Princess Aliyah was already on her way to the secret room.
As Princess Aliyah continued to stab the woman, Gideon covered Eve’s eyes. He didn’t want her to see this brutality further.
"Aaaah!" A loud scream echoed inside the secret room when Princess Aliyah’s personal maid entered and witnessed the scene. "Y-Your Highness..." her body trembled in fear as she fell back to the ground, utterly shocked.
’Princess Aliyah is murdering someone!’
Hearing the scream, Aliyah finally stopped, her lips curling up into a sinister smile. Still holding the sharp object tainted with blood, she turned to her servant.
"Call Gerard!"
Gerard was Princess Aliyah’s personal knight. He was assigned to her– a royal knight who vowed to protect the princess with his life. He was extremely loyal only to the princess.
Aliyah’s personal maid crawled out of the secret room, urgently calling Gerard.
Meanwhile, Gavin’s hard member was still connected to the lifeless body of the woman lying on the bed.
He stared at Aliyah, shocked and confused. He felt like his eyes were playing tricks on him.
’A violent Eve attacked another Eve, stabbing her to her death.’ This was what he had seen tonight.
His scalp tickled and a chill ran down his spine the moment he met Aliyah’s blazing eyes. Her bloodied appearance made him cower in fear.
’She is frightening!’ He thought, gulping hard as he was frozen in his spot.
Princess Aliyah grinned sardonically, wiping the blood stain that splattered on her face.
"E-Eve... w-what’s wrong?" Gavin stammered as he asked Aliyah, still thinking the scary woman in front of him was Eve.
Aliyah laughed maniacally at the mention of Eve’s name.
’Does his obsession with her turn him mad? How dare he call me Eve!’ Aliyah narrowed her eyes on Gavin.
Without hesitation, Aliyah grabbed the bottle of wine on the bedside table and struck Gavin’s head.
Crash!
The impact knocked him out. She scowled at Gavin’s falling body.
It did not take long before a running footstep was heard approaching the secret room.
"Your Highness!" Gerard’s voice echoed with concern as he called out to her.
Aliyah just waved her hand nonchalantly in response to her knight.
"Take your Lord away. Bring him to the carriage." Aliyah commanded him in her cold voice.
She looked pretty calm for someone who had just committed a murder.
"And dispose of this rotten body! Feed her to our hunting dogs. I bet they will like the taste of a bitch!"
Gerard needed not to utter a word. He just did what he was told to do. He would clean up this mess to cover up Princess Aliyah’s crime. That was his duty as her loyal lackey.
The personal maid returned holding a set of new clothes for Princess Aliyah. The female servant had finally calmed down since Gerard was there.
Aliyah washed up her bloodied appearance and changed her clothes before walking out of the secret room with an indifferent look on her face. Her personal maid followed her from behind.
Gerard, on the other hand, was already carrying Gavin’s unconscious body, bringing him to the carriage.
When everyone left, Eve began to puke uncontrollably. Gideon immediately held her trembling body, rubbing her back.
"Hey, are you alright?" Gideon noticed that Eve’s face turned pale. She looked frightened.
Eve didn’t respond as his words didn’t register in her mind.
Unknown to Gideon, Eve’s memory was triggered by Aliyah’s brutal crime. A very vague memory appeared in her mind like flashbacks.
Her heart was racing rapidly against her chest and she felt suffocated. For some unknown reason, the unsightly scene felt familiar to her as if she had witnessed this similar scene before.
But there was a gap in her memory that she couldn’t recall.
"Eve, can you hear me? Can you walk? We need to leave now!" Gideon tried to call her attention but Eve appeared to be disoriented, not responding to him.
’Damn it! I think this is too much for her weak heart. Don’t tell me she got traumatized by that?’ Gideon cursed and lamented inwardly.
After her long silence, Eve finally spoke up.
"I can’t breathe..." she uttered, her fingers gripping his hand tightly.
Before Gideon could ask her, Eve suddenly collapsed in his arms.
"Eve!"
Sensing the urgency of the situation, Gideon immediately lifted her body and passed through the secret door.
Now Gideon was torn between bringing her back to the Stormholt Manor or letting her stay in his place just for tonight.
After careful consideration, Gideon chose the latter. He wouldn’t be at ease leaving her so he decided to bring her to his small cabin. He wanted to take care of her.
However, Gideon’s choice caused a ruckus in the Stormholt Manor the next morning. His good intentions backfired, creating trouble for Eve!

The Next Morning– At Stormholt Manor...
"Princess Eve has gone missing!"
"What?"
"How could that happen?"
"I never saw her leaving her room."
"She is not in her chamber!"
"Just keep looking. She might be in the training ground!"
The servants and the knights searched for Eve worriedly. But there was one person who didn’t bother to look for her– it was Sera.
’Why bother looking for a person who is enjoying her moment with her secret lover? Damn it! I can’t wait for Alaric to kick her out of the Stormholt Estate.’
