Chapter 52: The First Act of Revenge

Outside the inn, Sera kept pacing back and forth, debating within herself.

’I can’t believe this. Princess Eve finally shows her true color! She has been deceiving Alaric! She is having an affair with Gavin Ravenmoor, her sister’s husband!’ Sera clenched her fists, enraged by this discovery.

She perfectly concealed her presence, following Eve and Gideon. But the next scene she witnessed shocked her to the core– Eve and Gavin entering the inn together.

At first look, the inn appeared to be a lodging place for travelers, but behind that, this inn resembled the House of Pleasure in the town center.

It had secret rooms wherein nobles and royals could seek indulgence, receiving forbidden pleasures. This was a perfect place for two couples having forbidden affairs.

"Should I barge in and take Princess Eve away?" Sera mumbled to herself.

But her anger won her over.

"I will let Alaric deal with her once he returns. I’ll make sure to uncover her pretentious act in front of Alaric. The people’s sentiment in the kingdom is right. Alaric should divorce his unfaithful wife!"

With those thoughts in mind, Sera decided to return to Stormholt Manor. She had already concluded the affair and Eve’s betrayal without seeing it with her own eyes.

Meanwhile, back to the secret chamber, Gavin grew impatient. He was sitting on the bed, half-naked as he waited for Eve to come out of the lavatory. He requested her to remove her ugly disguise as he wanted to see her ethereal beauty.

He kept drinking his wine. "Eve! How long are you going to make me wait? I swear... I won’t be forgiving this time."

Gavin stood up, heading toward the lavatory. The moment he opened the door, a petite figure bumped into him.

Gavin’s eyes lit up upon seeing Eve’s real face. ’Oh. Finally... The face I’ve been fantasizing about for so long.’

Eve nodded in understanding.

Eve smiled sheepishly, scratching her face.

"Actually, this is the first time I made a serum. My aim is to make his body numb and make him fall asleep. I didn’t expect that putting three drops would have this effect. I guess, instead of creating a Numbing and Sleeping Serum, I ended up making a Hallucination Serum."

Gideon’s jaw dropped upon hearing that. ’This woman is full of surprises.’

"Don’t you ever make me drink any serums you make!" Gideon said, his face twitching as he imagined himself being in that state.

Eve just giggled. "Don’t worry. I’ll be more consistent in my next creation."

Gideon immediately covered Eve’s mouth when someone entered the secret room, pushing the door roughly.

"Here she comes! Your Sister... Second Princess Aliyah." He whispered.

Eve and Gideon brought their attention to the angry woman who had just barged into the room.

"Gavin!!!" Aliyah’s scream echoed in the chamber.

Gavin turned to look at her and frowned. ’Eve?’

He stopped pounding on the woman under him as he darted his gaze back and forth, confusion resurfacing in his eyes.

’Why am I seeing two Eve’s?’ He mused to himself, blinking and rubbing his eyes.

However, before he could figure out what was happening, Princess Aliyah charged in his direction.

Slap! Slap!

"How dare you sleep with another woman?!" She screamed once more, her voice trembling from too much anger.

"Eve?" Gavin accidentally uttered.

Hearing Eve’s name, Princess Aliyah’s anger rose to the highest level like a volcano erupting.

In a flash, Princess Aliyah grabbed the sharpest object from the nightstand. Without any hint of hesitation, she repeatedly stabbed the naked woman lying on the bed. Blood spurted onto her face, Gavin’s body, and the bed.

’Oh my god! She stabbed her!’ Eve watched this unsightly scene in horror.
