The Hero's Forsaken Princess -
Chapter 132: Her Revenge
Chapter 132: Her Revenge
At Averion Palace: Twenty Days Later...
King Solomon summoned General Alaric, Princess Eve, and the members of the Assassination Team. Today they would set out for their journey to Kingdom Zephyra.
King Solomon wanted to see them one last time before sending them off. Alaric and the seven knights were kneeling while Princess Eve stood before him.
King Solomon approached Eve first, holding her shoulders.
"Princess... my daughter, I wish you well. This is the first time you will leave Kingdom Averion. Please be safe. Once you return, I’ll tell you everything. Do you understand?" King Solomon was referring to her mother’s death.
Eve nodded with a smile. "Don’t worry, Father. Everyone here... will return home." She reassured him. She believed in the capability of Alaric’s team. And she would support them.
King Solomon hugged his daughter tightly. He was reluctant to let her go. But Eve and Alaric already made up their minds. He wanted to respect their decisions.
After releasing her from his embrace, King Solomon’s eyes lingered on her face for a long moment. Looking at her, King Solomon felt like he was facing Princess Esmeralda right now. There was a hint of longing in his eyes.
When he was done talking to Eve, King Solomon turned to face Alaric and the seven warriors.
"My brave knights, please stand."
Alaric and his comrades stood up, obeying the king’s command.
"I’m giving you my blessings. I hope all of you will be protected. Please return home alive. Kingdom Averion can’t afford to lose you... our brave warriors."
"Thank you for your grace, our King. We shall offer our life to accomplish this mission. Rest assured that we will do our best to return home." Alaric spoke on behalf of his team.
"I’ve provided you with the weapons and supplies you need for this journey. Please use them well. Check them before you leave. If you need something, tell me now. I will make sure that you have all the things you need for this mission," King Solomon said, reminding them.
"I’ve already checked them, our Majesty. We got everything we need," Alaric politely responded.
King Solomon nodded, grabbing his shoulder. "I’ll leave everything to you, my strongest general. Do your best. Please keep my daughter safe."
"I shall see to it, your Majesty."
King Solomon looked at the other knights and said, "You and your family will be rewarded. Thank you for accepting this dangerous mission, my brave knights. Our kingdom’s fate is in your hands."
"We shall not fail you, our Majesty. We will fight for our kingdom and for you, our King," they responded in unison, raising their swords.
Princess Eve, Alaric, and his comrades bade their farewell to the king. Gideon had been waiting for them at the palace’s gate. King Solomon provided them with three carriages for their transportation.
As the team departed, many eyes were on them. General Artemis Drakemont and General Victor Ravenmoor watched them from a distance. One was wishing them well while the other was hoping for their demise.
’You must succeed, Alaric, and reclaim the throne for Princess Eve. This is the only way to protect her.’ General Artemis thought to himself, gripping his sword tightly.
He wanted to join them. However, he had an important task of guarding the Kingdom’s northern border. He shouldn’t let the enemy kingdom invade their territories.
On the other hand, General Ravenmoor called his loyal knight.
"It’s time for you to do your task. Go and send the secret message to Kingdom Zephyra. You must ensure that my message will reach King Zaraki," General Ravenmoor instructed his loyal knight.
"I understand, my Lord. I have to leave now."
General Ravenmoor thought they could win this war even without Alaric. He was so determined to kill him. The Ravenmoor Clan was still mourning Gavin’s untimely death. He was too young to die.
’This is for you, Gavin. I’m sending Alaric and Princess Eve to you. You will see them soon... in the afterlife.’ General Ravenmoor put on a sinister smile.
On the other side of the palace, Princess Aliyah and Princess Alessandra were talking about Princess Eve’s departure.
"You should have said goodbye to our youngest sister, Sis," Princess Aliyah said meaningfully.
"Why should I do that?" Princess Alessandra replied, arching her eyebrow.
"This might be the last time you will be seeing her," Aliyah promptly responded.
Princess Alessandra scoffed upon hearing that. "I hope so. I don’t want her to return here. Our kingdom doesn’t need her."

Meanwhile, at Kingdom Eldara, Princess Cassian and Princess Thalia had finally arrived. King Constantine welcomed them at the palace hall. He was so glad to see his children return home safely.
But Crown Prince Cassian delivered a piece of bad news to him.
"Sylvana, our Seer, and Chancellor Igrin were taken away by our enemy."
King Constantine’s face turned pale as soon as he heard that.
"Who did this? From what kingdom?" King Constantine asked his son.
"Kingdom Zephyra," Crown Prince Cassian replied.
The elite team Captain Avan sent to chase after the group who took Sylvana and Chancellor Igrin found out that the two were brought to Kingdom Zephyra.
However, they couldn’t follow them further when the group reached the border of Kingdom Zephyra. The security at their border was very tight. They had to present a kingdom badge and a passage token in order to enter the kingdom’s border.
They could only stay outside the border and wait for Crown Prince Cassian’s further instructions. They needed to strategize how to enter the kingdom’s border without getting caught by Zephyra’s knights.
"Forgive me, son. We have to give up on Sylvana. We are not yet strong enough to go against Kingdom Zephyra," King Constantine said, making Crown Prince Cassian frown in displeasure.
King Constantine shook his head in despair. They couldn’t do anything against the Kingdom of Zephyra. A rescue mission was impossible.
Feeling disappointed, Crown Prince Cassian stormed out of the palace hall.
Princess Thalia just watched her brother’s retreating figure with a triumphant smile on her face.
’Do you like my revenge, brother? How does it feel to lose someone important to you? This is your punishment for letting me suffer and humiliating me when you sided with that bitch, Eve!’ Princess Thalia murmured to herself.
