Eve blushed upon hearing Alaric’s last remarks.

"If this is how you will punish me, then I might upset you more," she said teasingly.

Eve shook her head without hesitation. "I don’t need it. If I were to choose I only want to live simply with you and build our own family. But I wish to stop the war so that no more knights and warriors will die on the battlefield."

"I want to protect you and my people." Eve hugged Alaric tightly. She was afraid of losing her husband. Furthermore, she didn’t want those knights to sacrifice their lives because of war.

"But if I have to gain power to promote peace all over the kingdom... then I will grab it."

Alaric smiled faintly at her response. Eve wasn’t greedy for power. She only wanted to protect her loved ones and her people. She was worthy to become a ruler.

"Eve, do you know that your grandfather is a promoter of peace? He also hates war. He tried to be neutral... not involving his armies in wars. He focused on strengthening the defense of his kingdom, instead of invading other kingdoms. He is quite the opposite of your grand uncle, King Zaraki."

Alaric gazed down to look at her. "Eve, if this is your wish, I will help you ascend to the throne and stop the war. I am your knight. Use me as your weapon... my Queen. Together, we will achieve our goal."
