The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 383- Not Fast Enough

Chapter 383: Chapter 383- Not Fast Enough

As Sol activated Reverse Total Eclipse, his large body started to shrink to his normal height of just under six feet.

At the same time, the overbearing dark energy surrounding him receded into his body. But with an earthshattering boom, Holy Energy burst out of his body and swept out like a world-ending storm. It caused the air to vibrate and the ground to shake. It seemed like Sol had the power to shake Gods and Demons alike.

The ground below his feet cracked open and a shockwave of wind swept out to bat against Cian’s expressionless face.

Sol slowly rose into the air as the sun Holy Crest on his forehead shone with a brilliant splendor that bathed his entire body in golden divine light.

Strands of Holy Energy suddenly began to move and wrapped themselves around his body. As they twisted and turned, they quickly weaved him a golden robe that began fluttering behind him.

At the same time Sol formed a hand seal with his remaining hand and the bracelet from his right hand, which was long left behind due to his battle, shot through the sky from several hundred meters away to come floating above his head.

As it bathed in the golden brilliance around him, the bracelet resembled a halo hovering over Sol’s head.

Suddenly, what sounded like low hymns started echoing out in the surroundings in a chant as if Heaven and Earth were welcoming the birth of a young God.

With resplendent golden hair and pupils, Sol looked down at Cian and his entire demeanor was different from before.

While he was using Total Eclipse, he was tyrannical and ferocious, but now he looked dignified and holy.

At this moment, Sol truly resembled a divine existence that had descended from the Heavens themselves.

However, hidden behind this dignified and holy aura, was a fury that could overturn the Heavens and rip apart the Earth.

The hymns echoing out in the surroundings started to grow louder and louder, while the blinding radiance around Sol started to grow brighter and brighter.

The Heavenly Domain around him had long been proliferated by Holy Energy ans it it swept out it caused cracks to appear in the void around him. The Necropolis Domain did everything in its ability to suppress this terrifying power.

Soon the cracks surrounding Sol were restored to normal, but the void continued to tremble nonstop.

As Sol looked down at Cian, it looked like a God was looking down from beyond the Heavens onto a Mortal Human.

Though Sol’s eyes couldn’t help but shift toward his Domain. It had change.

Ignoring it for no, Sol lifted his only hand and reached out towards the void. The Holy Energy around him seemed to become excited as they erupted with even more brilliance and power before rushing towards him.

Soon, the Holy Energy started to swirl around his hand before coalescing into a golden halberd that was flickering between corporeal and incorporeal.

Its handle fitted perfectly into Sol’s palm. The guard on the handle had a row of small spikes that were carved with intricate symbols that flowed along its two-meter-long shaft and congregated on the surface of the large, curved blade in the shape of a bright golden sun.

This halberd looked like a Godly weapon that was created from primordial chaos. It resembled the halberd from Sol’s memories, where he had fought and died against those Giants. But at the same time, it looked like a projection of the real thing.

Nevertheless, the moment this halberd fully formed; Sol’s aura surged. It looked like he now become a young War God who was about to wage countless bloody battles that span the expansive cosmos.

Sol’s eyes had never left Cian who was on the ground. He gripped his halberd and lifted it above his head.

His Holy Energy shot towards the shake and the Necropolis Domain started trembling as a large projection of the halberd materialized in the sky.

As soon as it materialized, it released a wave of Killing Intent that swept out in all directions.

Without hesitation, Sol then slashed down. The halberd projection followed his movements and slashed down as well.

This strike was absolutely horrifying, a ripping sound echoed out as it tore apart a layer of the Necropolis Domain and came down like a guillotine on Cian’s head.

Cian looked up at this halberd strike and his face was still expressionless.

Without any warning or indication, his body suddenly vanished. The restrictive force from the halberd locking the space in its strike trajectory didn’t affect him.

The Necropolis Domain healed the tear relatively easily as the halberd struck the ground. The ground instantly exploded, causing massive rocks the size of miniature mountains to rise into the air along with a cloud of dust and debris.

This attack was so terrifying that if it had been made in the outside world, the Alchemy Pavilion Mountain would have been split in half without its protective Formation.

The massive shockwave of wind from the attack swept out and cleared the rising dust and debris to reveal the long gorge that extended from below Sol and stretched out several hundred meters into the distance.

Cian teleportation brought him two hundred meters away from the attack.

Sol stepped on thin air and with a sonic boom he shot towards him.

Sol was like a bolt of golden lightning falling from the Heavens as he descended upon Cian. He then lifted his halberd and slashed out him with power strong enough to cleave apart a mountain.

Cian’s eyes flickered as he teleported once again and dodged Sol’s attack.

However, Sol’s body suddenly turned before he took a step and vanished.

Cian appeared around three hundred meters away from Sol, but the moment he appeared he was greeted by Sol’s halberd strike.

Cian was still expressionless, but his gaze grew colder. He still didn’t plan on confronting Sol head-on, so his body vanished once again as he used his teleportation ability.

Sol’s halberd strike landed on the ground, but he was already gone.

Five hundred meters away, Cian appeared, but once again he was greeted by Sol’s halberd.

BANG!

The earth erupted as Sol’s halberd missed Cian and smashed into the ground.

Sol’s body turned and vanished. He reappeared a thousand meters away and slashed down at the empty space in front of him. In that moment, Cian appeared, however, he then disappeared right after.

However, unlike last time, Sol’s halberd almost struck him as a few strands of his white hair were severed.

’Not fast enough.’

Sol’s face was expressionless as he turned in a certain direction. His body almost moved on instinct as he pushed his Heavenly Steps to their limit.

His body became imperceptible to human eyes, and he practically teleported one thousand five hundred meters away.

Once again, he slashed down at the empty space in front of him. His halberd was already half swung as Cian appeared.

Cian went to use his teleportation once again, but Sol’s attack was too fast.

Though he was still calm as the white bone sword in his hand trembled and sent out strands of white Sword Energy towards Sol’s halberd. With a dang, they delayed Sol’s attack just enough to allow him to slip away.

This time Sol didn’t chase Cian. His halberd slashed into the ground and left a large crevice before he slowly retrieved it.

He then turned to his left and Cian appeared just over two thousand meters away in that direction.

Sol was still expressionless as he slowly rose into the air. His bracelet that had been left behind caught up and stopped above his head. The bracelets seemed to be fixed there and would chase him to return above his head even if Sol went to the other side of the expansive cosmos.

Sol looked at Cian where he was and sighed internally.

’My senses can only extend for one thousand five hundred meters if I don’t take off my bracelets. If I take them off it increases by five hundred meters. Is it because I absorbed a second portion of my bloodline that the increment isn’t as great?’

Sol sighed once again.

In reality, the only difference between him wearing his four bracelets and taking off two is that his bloodline and the abilities they granted him would be unsealed. This was along with his being able to use Total Eclipse and Reverse Total Eclipse.

Maybe the two bracelets were still sealing a bit of his power, but it wasn’t much. The only reason he would have to take off his bracelets now was to use Total Eclipse and Reserve Total Eclipse, as well as his innate abilities.

Regarding how he was able to keep up with Cian’s teleportation ability, Cian wasn’t teleporting but was rather moving through his Necropolis Domain at will.

This type of movement would inevitably leave traces, and even though Cian was trying to hide them, he was able to sense the faint fluctuations that occurred during Cian’s teleportation with his omniscient ability.

This omniscient ability from his Holy Crest bloodline was on another level compared to his Soul Energy. It made his senses so sharp he was almost able to perceive what was outside this Necropolis Domain.
