Chapter 382- I Am Death
Chapter 382: Chapter 382- I Am Death
This was still within Sol’s Heavenly Domain, and he was always on guard for Cian’s teleportation ability, so he was able to move just as the attack was made. But Cian’s speed was not to be underestimated, and the attack still managed to stab into his left chest.
It missed Sol’s heart by mere inches thanks to his quick movements. But the number of times he suffered similar injuries like this since the battle started was a terrifying amount. However, this just goes to show Cian’s deadly intent.
Sol’s body couldn’t help but tremble as the sword’s aura seeped into his body. His upper robes were torn due to his transformation and further by the battle, so bright red flowers could be seen appearing on the left side of his shoulder and chest.
They quickly bloomed and a dark miasma started flowing out of them.
Immediately, Sol realized what this strange aura was.
It was the power of the Necropolis Domain, the same energy that had invaded his body and nearly dispersed his soul.
Before the aura could fully spread throughout his body, Sol quickly retreated causing blood to splash as the sword was forcefully dragged out. At the same time, he clenched his fist and sent out a punch.
A black fist projection mixed with a bit of gold inside appeared as he used his Heavenly Domain Fist.
The fist smashed into the undead skeleton, but Cian had already retreated after his attack failed.
The undead skeleton was reduced to dust and the sacred torch didn’t even bother to sway to try to revive it.
Swoosh!
Swoosh!
Swoosh!
The three remaining undead skeletons surround Sol once again and rush toward him in a frenzy.
The Death Energy swirling around their body blazed as if they didn’t care for their life and death. With their broken weapons coated with Death Energy and the might of Sky Expanse cultivators, they slashed out. The void trembled as their attacks aimed to slaughter Sol in body and soul.
The undead skeleton Sol smashed into the ground had disappeared.
Sol’s focus momentarily left the incoming violent attacks from these undead skeletons to look past them. His expression turned ugly as he watched Cian drift outside the encirclement, ready to use these undead skeletons as a cover to attack.
"This bastard."
Sol couldn’t help but curse under his breath before he ruthlessly sent out a Heavenly Domain Fist to deal with another one of these undead skeletons.
The undead skeleton slashed out with its sword, but Sol’s current strength was around the mid-stages of the Sky Expanse Realm, it might even reach the late stages of the Sky Expanse Realm. As a result, this undead skeleton at the early stages of the Sky Expanse Realm was obliterated.
Sol’s attack then went on to smash into its body and reduced its bones to dust.
The remaining two undead skeletons took this opportunity to attack, and Sol dodged the sword of one before he sent out a fist to block the other.
However, as soon as he repelled the second undead skeleton’s attack, Cian’s white-bone sword suddenly appeared through its ribs to attack Sol.
"Sneaky bastard!"
Sol roared, then with a vicious expression he completely ignored the bone sword and sent out a punch towards the undead skeleton’s chest. He wanted to tear through this undead skeleton and smash Cian into a blood paste.
However, Cian’s eyes flashed before he suddenly vanished in a teleportation.
Sol’s pupils constricted when he saw that. The time between Cian’s first and second teleportation was nothing compared to his second and third, which were mere moments.
Sol’s large fist slammed onto the undead skeleton’s body destroying it, but as the fragments fell to the ground, they were already seeping into the soil to reform as Sol had not used his Heavenly Domain Fist.
Suddenly, the ground beneath Sol’s feet burst apart as the last undead skeleton that vanished reappeared.
Sol pushed off the ground in retreat, but the skeleton he dodged before was behind him waiting to attack.
It threw itself at Sol wanting to go out in mutual destruction.
Sol’s eyes flashed with a cold look as sent out a punch to meet the incoming sword. However, as soon as he clashed with this undead skeleton, a familiar white bone sword suddenly sprouted from the undead skeleton’s rib cage towards his chest.
Cian had used his teleportation once again. Sol instantly knew for certain that he was tricked into believing he couldn’t perform that ability successively.
Cian didn’t use it before when he was at a disadvantage because he was planning for this situation where it would be more effective in dealing with him.
’This Cian is really scheming, huh?’
Sol looked enraged and annoyed as his large body retreated from Cian’s attack as quickly as lightning, but internally he was extremely calm, relaxed even.
Sol sent out his Heavenly Domain Fist as he retreated and destroyed this undead skeleton for good.
Cian disappeared from behind it, but Sol ignored him and didn’t hesitate to turn to send out two successive Heavenly Domain Fist at the undead skeleton that just reformed and the one that tried to ambush him.
Before his Heavenly Domain Fist even landed on these last two undead skeletons Sol’s figure already blurred as he used his Heavenly Steps to appear next to Cian several meters away.
Cian’s expression didn’t change but his eyes flickered coldly.
Sol’s speed had increased severalfold in this instance. From this one could see that Sol had been holding back until now. Most of all, his instantaneous speed was not slower than Cian’s teleportation ability in short distances.
Sol immediately sent out a fist at Cian’s head as he appeared. A mocking sneer could be seen at the corner of his lips. As if he was asking what else Cian had up his sleeves.
In response, Cian strangely didn’t use his sword to try and force Sol back, he instead reached out his palm to meet his fist. Surrounding his palm was a mysterious white energy.
Sol’s eyes narrowed as he sensed that the energy around the palm was the same as the one that was around the bone sword.
Cian was using the power of his Domain to contest against Sol in physical strength.
No doubt this was part of his plan as well. And sure enough, a loud bang echoed out as Sol’s fist met his palm. The clash made both of them retreat four steps, the ground cracking beneath their feet as they did.
But that wasn’t all, the aura of the Necropolis Domain seeped into Sol’s hand and was rampaging in his body. Red flowers appeared and bloomed on his right hand, adding to the ones already on his left chest and shoulder.
Sol paused and looked down at his hand.
After everything that happened until now, Sol realized that Cian was treating him like some wild animal that he wanted to slowly tame. Each time Sol increased his power, he would set a trap for him and reveal power greater than his.
’He really doesn’t see me as an opponent, huh?’
Sol thought, but a voice suddenly spoke in his mind.
’Brat, what’s happening out there?’
Sol blinked.
’Little Abdu? I’m sorry, did I wake you?’
’You think I wouldn’t wake up after feeling the dense Death Energy outside? Where exactly are you?’
Sol was apologetic.
’I’m inside someone’s Domain. I’m sorry, I’ll finish this soon.’
Little Abdu paused when he heard that before asking.
’Do you need my help?’
’No, I can handle this much, and besides, things are just starting to get interesting.’
After pausing once again Abdu said.
’Fine, but be careful of whoever that person is, I can sense strange energy from this Domain. It’s Death Energy, but at the same time, it’s something on a completely different level than what I control.’
Sol glanced down at his hand where the strange red flowers were. He agreed with Abdu’s words.
This energy was even strong enough to compete with his Holy Energy, and one should remember it was of a higher quality than Holy Energy from the church.
Suddenly, Sol asked.
’I think he’s a God’s Chosen from Keres.’
’What?!’
Abdu yelled completely shocked.
’This is the Holy Crest on his forehead.’
Inside the Heavenly Samsara Formation, the tattoo on Cian’s forehead was recreated in front of Abdu.
Abdu shook his head as he said.
’No, Keres Holy Crest is that of a Demon’s fang, this is not it.’
Sol frowned slightly when he heard that before he looked at Cian.
"Turns out you aren’t related to Keres, who are you exactly?"
Cian didn’t respond to Sol’s question and only stared at him expressionlessly.
Seeing this, Sol shrugged.
"It’s fine if you don’t want to say who you a-"
"I am Death."
Cian’s cold voice suddenly interrupted Sol.
Sol paused and looked at Cian.
Suddenly, he chuckled and said.
"You say that and act as if you’re after my soul, but your thoughts don’t reflect that." –Eyes twinkling Sol continued— "We just started, but I want to see what other schemes you’re plotting. I’ll start by forcing your hand."
Suddenly, the aura around Sol shifted, and the Holy Crest on his forehead began to shine while the crescent moon Enigma visible on his stomach dimmed.
The bloodline energies within him reversed, with his Enigma and Inante Dharma now empowering his Holy Crest.
Reverse Total Eclipse was activated.
