Chapter 381: Chapter 381- Still Within Control

Despite his disdain, Cian didn’t dare face this strike head-on. He slid horizontally dodging the fist before slashing out with his bone sword. His aim was Sol’s other arm.

The ground shattered under Sol’s fist and large rocks were uprooted.

Cian was thrown off balance because of this causing his sword’s trajectory to falter.

Sol easily dodged the sword slash and spread his five fingers wide to grab Cian’s hand. Even the air around his hand trembled. One could only imagine what would happen if Sol managed to grab Cian’s hand.

Up to this point, Cian’s facial expression had not once changed. It was still expression under Sol’s attack.

The white bone sword in his hand suddenly trembled and sent out white Sword Energy towards Sol’s hand.

This white Sword Energy contained the strange aura that was around the bone sword making them extremely sharp.

Even with his currently Fleshly Body, Sol would lose his other hand if he met them head-on.

Sol retrieved his hand and sent out a fist.

With a loud bang, both Sol and Cian stumbled back. Sol’s fist bled but was quickly healed.

Sol was the first one to recover due to the resilience of his physical body, and he charged towards Cian and sent out a punch.

Cian’s coldly stared at him and retreated.

Even though he had a sword that could bypass Sol’s defenses, he would be smashed into bits if he tried to clash with him like he was now.

Sol’s large fist that could shatter mountains slam into the ground and uprooted more rocks.

Cian slashed out with his sword sending out white arcs of Sword Energy flying towards Sol, but Sol took a step and his figure blurred.

The sword arcs slashed through his afterimage while he reappeared next to Cian. Despite his giant stature, Sol was unnaturally fast.

He punched out and Cian’s hair flapped wildly as Sol’s fist was aimed towards his head. Cian immediately slashed out with his bone sword, but Sol’s fist suddenly turned into a palm that slapped Cian’s sword to the side.

If Sol still had his left arm another fist would be aiming for Cian’s chest in this instant, but instead, he titled his head back before smashing it down towards Cian’s own.

Cian was still expressionless, but his eyes flickered.

He still didn’t dare to meet Sol head-on and pulled his head back in a hurry. He then moved to retreat but Sol didn’t allow him to retreat so he could attack from a distance.

He pressed forward and forced Cian to fight at close quarters.

Quickly, Cian was forced into a disadvantageous position and was constantly being pushed back.

With Sol’s constant attacks, he barely had time to gather himself to make a proper attack. The hasty ones he managed to make to force Sol back, only made superficially wounds on Sol’s huge body.

Sol was gambling with his life on the line as the moment he let up Cian would be able to easily slice him in two with that sword. However, he was calm. His Heavenly Domain was encapsulating Cian so he could predict all of his movements and dodge them just enough to leave superficial wounds while not losing his momentum forward.

In close combat, Sol could be said to be invincible. So, he used every means to keep the battle as such.

Due to this, Cian started to feel stifled by Sol. Even though his sword was faster than Sol in some sense, he could do nothing but retreat in a sorry state as Sol seemed to have future sight that could predict his attacks.

However, even now, Cian’s expression hasn’t changed in the slightest. It was as if everything that was happening was still within his control.

Seeing this Sol’s eyes flickered.

’Why isn’t he teleporting like before? Is it a one-time ability, or does it have a cool down time?’

Sol was on high alert because of Cian’s weirdly calm demeanor. Even though he had the advantage, Sol still wasn’t able to land a solid blow on Cian.

Their battle encapsulated a few hundred meters and the landscape in this area had already transformed.

The nearly five-hundred-meter pit, which was in the center of this battle, had long been destroyed, while several more appeared around it.

Suddenly, after being on the back foot for several dozen exchanges, Cian tried to slash out with his sword, however, Sol had already shifted out of the way before he attacked.

With a swoosh Cian’s sword slashed past Sol’s left side. The dodge was so close if his left arm was there, it would have been severed. But taking advantage of his missing arm Sol counterattacked, his five fingers spread out as they moved to grab Cian wrist.

The void around Sol’s fingers trembled with heaven-shaking might that caused the void to warp. One could only imagine what would happen if they managed to grab onto Cian’s wrist.

However, before Sol’s hand could grab hold of Cian’s hand, a sudden sense of danger appeared in his heart. Sol didn’t hesitate to abandon grabbing Cian’s hand and spun around to throw out a punch.

His fist met the sword of the undead skeleton that suddenly sprung out of the ground in ambush.

With a loud bang, the force of Sol’s fist traveled through the sword and shattered the arm of the undead skeleton while it was sent stumbling back. However, Sol was also forced to retreat from the clash, and before he could recover, the ground beneath his feet burst apart as another undead skeleton appeared; stabbing its sword towards his throat.

Sol’s eyes flickered coldly and he slapped down his palm. His palm collided with the tip of the sword and a loud dang echoed out that sounded like metal colliding against metal.

The sword was sent flying out of the skeleton’s hand while it was forced back into the ground where it came from.

Sol went to follow up with another attack, but another undead skeleton appeared behind him and slashed its sword toward his back.

At the same time, two more undead skeletons appeared on his left and right, while the one he attacked first recovered and was charging over.

He was surrounded and was being attacked on all four sides, however, Sol’s expression remained calm. Rather than waiting for them to attack, Sol took a step and the ground cracked as he shot towards the undead skeleton to his left with blinding speed.

Before the undead skeleton could slash out with its decrepit-looking sword, Sol tilted his head back before ruthlessly smashing his head against its skull.

With a loud bang, its skull was obliterated. Sol then went to use his Heavenly Domain Fist to completely get rid of it before the others approached.

However, Cian suddenly appeared silently behind that undead skeleton and slipped his sword through a gap between its ribs to stab towards Sol’s heart.
