Chapter 359: Chapter 359- Four Balloons

The disciples’ hearts couldn’t help but shudder when they felt the power radiating from Altair.

Thankfully, a barrier had appeared around the stage blocking this pressure. If not, the disciples below wouldn’t have only coughed up blood or fainted.

On the stage, Quilt’s expression changed as he took a few steps back away from Altair. A faint golden shimmer covered his body to block the terrifying force coming from Altair.

"Bastard..."

Quilt couldn’t help but curse.

This force was easy to block for Quilt because only a minuscule amount was coming towards him, all of it was instead locked onto Sol on the other side of the stage.

As the aura of the spell from Altair crashed down on his shoulders, Sol felt the suppressive force surround him. At the same time, he realized that his Aether Energy was turning sluggish, and even the blood flowing through his veins slowed down.

As for moving his body, Sol found it extremely difficult. It felt as if the space itself surrounding him was completely locked down.

In this current situation, he couldn’t use his Aether Cultivation to muster up any strength to resist. Even his physical strength was useless in this situation.

For Martial Artists who cultivate their Fleshly Bodies, being in this situation was no short of a death sentence.

Sol’s eyes narrowed at this.

At this time, a large red magic circle with intricate magic symbols moving within it suddenly appeared on the stage below Sol’s feet.

Feeling the heat radiating from the magic circle, Sol couldn’t help but glance down at it.

When this magic circle activate, even with his Earth Expanse Realm Fleshly Body there was no way he would remain unscathed.

However, that wasn’t the end of this spell. Three more magic circles suddenly appeared to Sol’s left and right as well as above him.

The one to his left had a deep blue color and it radiated a cold chill, the opposite of the magic circle below him. The power emanated from it could freeze both Gods and Demons alike.

The magic circle on Sol’s right was brown and it radiated a suppressive force and strong fluctuations of the earth element. It felt like a mountain that was preparing to crush down on Sol.

The last rune above him was purple in color and it crackled with similar color lightning. The force that crashed down from it onto Sol’s shoulders felt like the might of the heavens themselves, as if he was about to be struck down by heavenly lightning.

Just one of these magic circles would make an Earth Expanse Realm cultivator feel trepidation, however, with all of them together it would even make a Sky Expanse Realm cultivator’s scalp tingle while feeling a sense of death approaching them.

Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae’s expressions turned serious, however, when they saw that Sol wasn’t scared but was instead looking at the magic circles with a curious expression, they immediately calmed down.

Amidst the crackling purple lightning, Altair could hear Sol yelling excitedly.

"Aren’t these Rune Formations!"

Altair’s face was pale, it was obvious casting these four spells at once was no easy task.

Looking at Sol being surrounded by his terrifying spells; Altair was at first baffled that he could be this calm. However, he soon shook his head and asked.

"Did you know I was casting these spells while I was explaining the Four Races?"

Sol was extremely entranced as he observed the four magic circles that were slowly activating, they were only seconds away from unleashing their might. However, he didn’t seem to notice as he casually responded to Altair’s question.

"Of course I noticed; you did a pretty bad job at trying to hide the fluctuations. I even noticed that your hands were performing rudimentary hand signs to help guide the energy in your body while you chant the spell in your mind."

Altair’s expression changed upon hearing that, while Quilt’s eyes narrowed.

Even Quilt hadn’t noticed Altair was planning this.

Sol might have said that nonchalantly, but the truth was that what Altair did was nothing short of incomprehensible to him.

How can a sorcerer perform four chantless spells simultaneously, while trying to hide it by conversing with someone?

The amount of precision and fine control that would be required was something no one in any of the Royal Families this generation could accomplish.

If Quilt went back to mention this on the Western Continent, it would cause an uproar.

Quilt had to glance at the Altair. It was obvious he had been hiding his true talents until now. But despite that, he was still crowned as the number one Magic Sorcerer among the Royal Families.

This was a testament to Altair’s talents in wielding the Sorcery Magic of a Warlock.

However, all of that skill boiled down to a ’bad job’ in Sol’s eyes.

What else could he be other than an arrogant brat?

But if Quilt thought this, one could imagine how Altair felt.

Altair laughed angrily and then said.

"You’re really confident in yourself, aren’t you Brother Sol? But you shouldn’t have allowed me to complete those spells. It would be a pity if you ended up dead afterward, but I suppose I’ll just take the five million Aether Stones from your corpse. Well, what’s left of it."

As Altair said this, the magic circles reached their limit, and their aura of activation sent violent ripples into the surroundings.

Sol’s hair and clothes flapped wildly. His body was then bombarded by hellfire-like heat, a thousand-year glacier chill, the pressure of a mountain, and heaven-destroying lightning.

The disciples below the stage had pale faces as they backed away from the stage. Even the barrier surrounding the stage started rippling constantly as if it were on the verge of collapse.

However, a snort could be heard before an annoyed voice of an old man said.

"Why are you brats battling in the Mortal Arena? The stages weren’t made to handle Spiritual Realm attacks!"

Afterward, the barrier around the stage shone brighter as the formation was activated to its limit. With this, the disciples calmed down a bit as the barrier became stable.

On the stage, Sol said again.

"These magic circle were definitely created by linking and overlapping runes, just that it’s in a different language that uses Mana instead of Aether Energy."

Altair frowned.

’How can he still be so calm?’

Altair smiled coldly, still believing Sol was probably putting on an act.

"I admit there are some similarities between your runes and our magic circles, maybe we each took inspiration from each other in the past somehow. But as they are now, they’re too far apart in principles for either of us to garner any enlightenment each other. I concluded there is no use studying your runes."

"You’re wrong."

Altair’s smile grew colder when he heard Sol’s words. He shook his head and at that moment the magic circles activated.

The activation time of these spells was quite long, coupled with how lengthy they took to conjure, spells like these weren’t normally used in one-on-one battles. But because Sol was stupid enough to stay in one place and even allow him to finish his secret incantation, he was trapped and could only watch as the magic circles slowly activated.

However, as Altair and Quilt expressionlessly watch the magic circles activate to destroy Sol in body and soul, their faces suddenly changed dramatically at what happened next.

Smiling, Sol said.

"Too bad, I wanted to look at them a little more."

Then with his index finger extended, Sol jabbed out four times in quick succession towards the four magic circles.

The terrifying power of activation from the four magic circles suddenly destabilized before crumbling. There were even four popping sounds that echoed out as if Sol had just poked a hole in four balloons rather than four powerful 4th Class Magic Spells.

Altair’s face became even paler before he coughed out a mouth full of blood from the backlash of the spells being forcefully disrupted.

He and Quilt then looked at Sol with utter stupefaction on their faces.

While watching the four magic circles dissipating, Sol sighed in disappointment.

However, he was sort of excited since he kind of got what he wanted. He was able to see the Techniques unique to the Western Continent.

’Magic circles are quite similar to runes, but I can see some areas where they surpass us so it would be worth exploring. However, I wouldn’t be able to do this without Master’s Seven Runic Paths to Samsara Runic Technique. He’s too amazing! I can tell that the similarities between those magic circles and our runes originated from a single source.’

As for how Sol knew this, that was because his Master’s Runic Technique contained principles from both magic circles and runes. Not because it was the product of them, but rather because it seemed like the source of the two!

Of course, Sol was shocked after realizing this. But he started to question if his Master had lied when he said this was his Runic Technique.

’Master is old, but he isn’t that old to be the progenitor of the Western Continents magic circles and the Eastern Continent Runes. The logical reason would be that Master stumbled upon something extraordinary and used it to help create his Runic Technique.’

Sol then thought back on what Abdu said, that his Master had used his continuous enlightenment to create the Seven Runic Paths to Samsara Runic Technique. No doubt those enlightenments were because of that extraordinary item.

’What could it be?’

Sol soon sighed and thought that his Master was really unfathomable. He had to flatter him more in the future so he could get some heaven-defying techniques.

Sol then turned to look at Altair and seeing that he was too injured to perform those spells again, he turned to look at Quilt.

His eyes shone with excitement as he said eagerly.

"Come, hurry, let’s see what kind of Techniques you have to show me."

Quilt and Altair were rendered speechless. The disciples below were also looking at Sol as if he was a God.
