Chapter 308: Chapter 308- Number One Genius In The World
Sol looked at Mar-Dule’s figure fly off into the distance. He could only shake his head and wonder how much chaos Mar-Dule was going to bring to Jianghu.
For the next few months, he was going be the unrivaled number one genius in the Eastern Continent. As for the Western Region, it was unknown if they had a weirdo like Mar-Dule as well.
Sol sighed. He was about to close his eyes to open the remaining acupoints in his torso, but he paused and reponed his eyes.
"I’m not in a rush to breakthrough into the Spiritual Realm, so how about I try ’that’ now?"
Sol had been inspired by something Yoon-Jae said, and he decided he would try and refine his body for a second time.
As for how he was going to do that, his crescent moon was the key.
After he fought with the Sand King, his body changed due to him using Total Eclipse.
The energy from his crescent moon that could only strengthen his body when he was injured was now doing so on its own.
It was obvious something had changed.
Now, perhaps Sol could use the energy from his crescent moon to refine his body for a second time.
During Sol’s training with his Master, where he would be severely injured by him so this energy could strengthen his body, wasn’t true refinement. True refinement of one’s body was like shedding one’s skin, flesh, bones, and tendons for a new set.
What his training with his Master was doing was using a hammer to straighten the rough edges around his body.
’I’m about eighty percent confident this will work. However, will it be better to do it after or before opening all of my acupoints?’
After thinking for a moment, Sol thought it wouldn’t hurt to just finish opening the acupoints in his torso before trying to refine his body for a second time.
’If I refine my body for a second time, I wonder if I will be able to absorb another portion of my bloodline.’
After Sol had fought with Elder Hyun-Joo, his body had essentially absorbed a part of his crescent moon bloodline and made it his own.
This allowed his base strength to be equivalent to him taking off one of his bracelets. Perhaps refining his body for a second time would allow him to absorb more of his bloodline, resulting in his base strength being as strong as if he had taken off two bracelets.
Sol was optimistic about his results after his seclusion ended, and he excitedly dived right back in.
Time slowly passed while Sol was deep in seclusion.
Meanwhile, in the outside world, those top prodigies from the Western Region had appeared in the Martial Alliance Academy.
The result of this was the complete humiliation of the geniuses of Jianghu.
With their top geniuses trying to break into the Spiritual Realm, no one was left among the geniuses in Jianghu to keep these people in check.
Well, that was until a mad gale swept in from the Eternal Desert.
The disciples of the Academy were thrilled at; however, this gale was from the Eternal Desert and his presence only further turned the Academy upside down.
If only their number one genius, Byeong-Ho, was here. He would have swept through these arrogant outsiders with ease.
However, some doubts started to rise in some disciples’ hearts when these prodigies from the Western Region showed off their bizarre sorcery and phenomenal Martial Arts.
Could Byeong-Ho truly defeat these people?
But this was not to mention that one annoying fellow from Land of Shadows. As soon as he was admitted into the Academy at the start of the year, he secretly went to every Pavilion in the Academy and challenged the strongest genius in that Pavilion before defeating them. Albeit the true top prodigies weren’t around.
No one saw these battles as they were done in secret, but it still sent shockwaves throughout the Academy.
He had even challenged those from the Western Region, but after he completely crushed each of his opponents, the ones who weren’t challenged yet started to avoid him.
Even the wild and arrogant Mar-Dule, who popped out of nowhere with a cultivation base at the Sky Expansion Realm and went around claiming to be the number one genius between the two continents, started to avoid him.
This person was called Ushi, and even though he hadn’t fought Byeong-Ho yet, he was already being talked about in the same breath as him.
That was how overwhelming his presence was in the Academy. Well, that was even though he had become known for pulling pranks from the shadows.
He had become a menace for the disciples. They had to deal with Devil Devil Yoon-Jae and thankfully he had disappeared late last year, but now they had to deal with this person.
No, this person’s methods might even be worse than Devil Devil Yoon’s!
Overall, the Academy was in complete chaos with the presence of these newcomers. And disciples started to notice that the atmosphere began to change from how it used to be.
It was usually peaceful and not much would happen except for a few scandals and conflicts here and there. The only big conflicts recently was the Sol and Geon-Soo.
After that was Geon-Soo’s death, and then even more shockingly was news of the Wudang Sect being forced to close their doors by the Shaolin Sect after it was found out they had been stealing Innate Dharmas.
Even now the uproar from that news was still shaking the foundations of Jianghu. It took a lot for the Shaolin Sect to calm everyone down.
However, when everyone thought the Academy would go back to a peaceful and orderly atmosphere, those from the Western Region came and caused the atmosphere to become volatile.
Now every other day news of one or more prodigies would be in a heated brawl in the Martial Hall Pagoda.
However, what was weird was that despite the volatile atmosphere, the higher-ups of the Academy showed no signs of trying to calm things down.
In fact, they instead added fuel to the fire by announcing a massive tournament.
The prize for getting the top three spots in this tournament was the fortune of a first-rate Sect or Clan.
However, that prize was only a secondary thought for these prodigies from wealthy Sects and Clans. What these prodigies were more focused on was getting first place.
Anyone who achieves first place in this tournament will be crowned the number one genius, but not only in Jianghu. They would be crowned the number one genius of the Eastern and Western Continent
Essentially, they were fighting for the title of the number one genius in the world.
