Chapter 307: Chapter 307- Pride And Unbridled Arrogance
Inside Mar-Dule’s body, a golden orb appeared in the center of his chest. Between the white orb and this golden orb was a golden path that connected them.
The abundance of Mar-Dule’s Aether Energy was flowing into the white orb and traveling this path upwards to the golden orb.
This golden orb was the Energy Core one would open after entering the Spiritual Realm. This was where the Aether Energy one gathered in the Spiritual Realm is stored.
Bang!
The general leading his battalion crashed into the second gate. The second gate opened only a sliver, allowing him to slip through.
In the outside world, some of the chains around Mar-Dule’s illusory Spiritual Palace shattered before the double doors opened a sliver.
However, as the battalion surged through the second gate the double doors slowly started to open wider and wider.
But after opening twenty percent, the speed at which the double doors were widening drastically decreased.
The battalion, which seemed unstoppable as they charged, had to pause before being forced into a narrow line as they trickled through the second gate.
With the battalion’s momentum slowed down, the distance between them and reaching the Emperor’s Heavenly Palace seemed to be the distance between heaven and earth itself.
The great general could only stop their advance here and slowly accumulate his battalion’s strength before attempting another charge in the future.
Mar-Dule gritted his teeth.
Opening twenty percent of one’s Spiritual Palace would make one an Earth Expanse Spiritual Realm cultivator. Opening above twenty percent but below fifty percent would make one a Sky Expanse Spiritual Realm cultivator, and above fifty percent make one a Heaven Expanse Spiritual Realm cultivator.
Mar-Dule had barely opened just over twenty percent, meaning he had entered the Sky Expanse Realm in one go, something that was almost unheard of on the Eastern Continent.
Only generational geniuses would be able to do such a thing, meaning Mar-Dule was qualified for this title.
However, he was frustrated. He had barely opened twenty-five percent of his Spiritual Palace, he thought that with the preparations he made he might have the chance to strive to the peak of the Sky Expanse Realm. But it seems like he truly underestimated the Spiritual Realm.
But upon further thought Mar-Dule couldn’t help but shiver.
The only reason he was able to jump over the Earth Expanse Realm and enter the Sky Expanse Realm was because he had absorbed ancestor Mar-Tu’s Metal Aether Energy which he had left behind.
If it wasn’t for that, the Internal Aether Energy Mar-Dule accumulated by himself wouldn’t have been nearly sufficient.
Mar-Dule was a bit dejected, however, his spirits were soon lifted when he realized he was likely above everyone in the current generation in terms of cultivation base.
Mar-Dule lifted his head to the sky and released a round of uproarious laughter.
"I, Mar-Dule, hereby claimed the title of the number one cultivation prodigy in the Eastern Continent! Who dares challenge me now?!!"
Mar-Dule’s words weren’t only prideful, they were completely arrogant.
But he was shameless as well.
Of course, with his current cultivation, he would be qualified for this title, but that’s only because prodigies like Sol or Byeong-Ho might still be in the process of entering the Spiritual Realm!
Sol couldn’t help but force a smile when he heard Mar-Dule’s words.
However, from the strength emitting from Mar-Dule, Sol could confidently say Mar-Dule was stronger than him at this moment.
Of course that was without him using his two bloodlines. But even with them, Sol realized he didn’t have a hundred percent chance of beating his friend.
Mar-Dule’s cultivation might only be at the lowest level of the Sky Expansion Realm, but being a generational talent of the Barbarian Race, his overall combat strength far surpassed that.
As for the exact depth of his strength, Sol did not know. Even Mar-Dule might not know until he challenged someone.
After Mar-Dule laughed his fill, his head suddenly swerved to the mountain next to him. His gaze pierced the clouds and the mountain to land on Sol inside his cave abode.
Sol and Mar-Dule’s gaze met, and a goading expression appeared on Mar-Dule’s face. However, he said nothing and only turned away before landing on the mountain.
He then sat cross-legged and went to stabilize his breakthrough.
His Mortal Palace and Spiritual Palace had already faded away, finally returning calm to the once rippling void.
Sol’s mouth twitched when he saw Mar-Dule’s goading expression, but he didn’t get upset. He instead smiled; he was genuinely happy for his friend.
Sol was then about to return his focus to his cultivation, but he paused upon seeing something strange happening to Mar-Dule.
The fat on his body seemed to be melting away. In the blink of an eye, the once chubby Mar-Dule turned into a lean super-model!
After some time, Mar-Dule suddenly jumped up and instinctively went to pat his belly. However, his hands met rock-solid abs instead.
Mar-Dule paused and blinked.
"I won’t get used to this body for a while. But it’s good to be back!"
Mar-Dule had sacrificed a lot when he decided to cultivate his Runic Technique. One of those things he sacrificed was his once handsome appearance.
After all, they didn’t call him Prince Mar-Dule for nothing!
With his short wild hair, lean figure, and tanned skin, he really did look like a Barbarian Prince.
One thing to note as well was that he resembled Mar-Yue a lot now that he had lost the fat on his face. This was especially the case as his eyes were now a deep blue color, they were even brighter than Mar-Yue’s own.
Mar-Dule turned to Sol and said.
"Sol, I’ll leave for Jianghu first. Since I’m in the Spiritual Realm I’ll be forced by the academy to enter the Inner Academy with the fourth-year disciples, but they can’t stop me from entering the Martial Hall Pagoda."
Mar-Dule grinned, and his eyes twinkled as he continued.
"I’ll use this opportunity to take the number one spot in the Heaven Arena. My name will resound throughout the entire Eastern Continent! However, if you think I’m shameless to bully those geniuses from the Holy Sects and Great Clans with my current cultivation, then I have only one thing to ask. Why is their cultivation speed so slow?"
Mar-Dule then lifted his head to the sky and released a booming laugh before he shot off in a burst of light. His laughter was filled with pride and unbridled arrogance.
