Chapter 306: Chapter 306- On The Precipice
Mar-Dule was able to float in the air, an ability unique to those in the Spiritual Realm and above.
However, Mar-Dule hadn’t fully entered the Spiritual Realm yet. His gaze was fixated on the chains around his Mortal Palace.
"BREAK!"
Mar-Dule flung his head back and released a deafening roar. Inside his body, the abundance of Metal Aether Energy that he had accumulated surged like a ferocious tide towards his sealed Mortal Palace that finally showed itself.
The three Palaces were always hidden within a person’s body until that person reached a sufficient level to break the seal on them.
Mar-Dule’s Mortal Palace appeared in a mysterious space right below his abdomen. This space was connected to his body but at the same time, it wasn’t. The existence of this Mortal Palace was quite mysterious.
However, one surprising thing was that the Mortal Palace that appeared within Mar-Dule’s body and the one in the outside world did not have the same appearance.
The Mortal Palace within his body was a black orb that was about one to two inches in radius. The illusory Palace floating in front of Mar-Dule was merely a manifestation of this black orb.
As Mar-Dule released that bellow, all Metal Aether Energy in his body swiftly flowed towards this black orb in streams. At a glance these streams were in the hundreds of thousands, no, they were possibly in the millions!
Mar-Dule’s cultivation method focused on storing as much Aether Energy as possible in his body.
To do this he carved Runes on all his acupoints, a feat that was both shocking and reckless.
The method of craving runes in the body was how the barbarian Race cultivated their fleshly bodies. On the surface of their skin, within their flesh, and even on their bones.
Using these runes, one would be able to gather the Aether Energy in the surroundings and continually refine their bodies. The starting point would be to refine one’s bones, then move on to the flesh and tendons, before ending on the skin.
When one completely carved runes on all three, then their Runic Circuit would have been complete. With this Runic Circuit, one would be able to develop every inch of their fleshly body as well as perform powerful Martial Skills.
However, Mar-Dule’s Runic Technique was slightly different. Not only because he carved runes on his acupoints, but because he was cultivating like the Arkadians but without an Innate Dharma.
In the Mortal Realm, the Arkadians and the Barbarians had similar paths of cultivation, refining the body and opening one’s acupoints. However, after that, they completely diverged.
While Arkadians would go on to accumulate Aether Energy to open their Spiritual Palace, Barbarians focused on accumulating physical strength to forcefully open their Spiritual Palace.
But this path was extremely difficult, one could see this by the fact that the Barbarian Race was the weakest of the three Races.
However, the most arduous path was usually the one with the most rewards. Mar-Du was a genius in Fleshly Body cultivation and as soon as he entered the Heavenly Realm, he became one of the most terrifying cultivators on the Eastern Continent.
As for Mar-Dule, he wasn’t going to forcefully open his Spiritual Palace with brute strength, he was going to use his abundance of Internal Aether Energy he gathered in the Mortal Realm to do so.
However, not only was he going to open his Spiritual Palace, but he was planning to jump right over the Earth Expansion Realm and enter directly into the Sky Expansion Realm!
This was something Mar-Dule spent his entire life up until now preparing for. Now the only thing standing in his way is his sealed Mortal Palace.
Mar-Dule’s Metal Aether Energy followed the paths of his meridians like soldiers riding to the capital to overthrow their mighty Emperor.
The great general who started this rebellion was in front, leading the charge of this battalion.
This Mortal Palace was like a giant gate that was on the outer walls of the Emperor’s Palace. It was sealed shut, not allowing anyone to enter.
However, this battalion numbered in the millions was unstoppable.
It crashed into this gate, and it seemed like a rock had smashed into paper.
As the Metal Aether Energy surged into the black orb, cracks appeared on it. Soon, its outer layer shattered, revealing a clear white surface.
At the same time in the outside world, the chains that were wrapped around the illusory Mortal Palace shattered into fragmented pieces before scattering into specs of golden light.
The double doors of the illusory Mortal Palace then started to slowly open.
Sol who had been watching all of this perked up, he wanted to see what opening a Mortal Palace was like. He only ever read about it but never actually saw it.
Abdu, who was sleeping seemed to have felt the commotion and he opened his eyes before sending out his Soul Energy to observe Mar-Dule’s breakthrough as well.
Now, Abdu, Sol, and Mar-Dule were looking at the wide open doors of the illusory Mortal Palace with curious expressions.
Suddenly, Mar-Dule narrowed his eyes to a figure that appeared at the doorway.
Sol gasped at the figure, while Abdu showed a confused look in his eyes.
The figure that appeared at the door was an illusory version of Mar-Dule.
His face was completely expressionless like he was merely a puppet without emotions.
However, when his gaze landed on Mar-Dule, his eyes lit up.
In the blink of an eye, this clone of Mar-Dule transformed into a wisp that shot toward him and entered his abdomen before Mar-Dule could react.
As soon as this wisp entered Mar-Dule’s body, his aura began to change. His cultivation base also continuously soared by leaps and bounds.
He was on the precipice of breaking into the Spiritual Realm.
Mar-Dule’s eyes flashed.
The general who had just broken through the Emperor’s Inner Gates was not done.
He led his battalion on a golden road towards the Emperor’s Inner Palace.
As this battalion shot like an arrow towards this Inner Palace, the golden road started to widen bit by bit, allowing more soldiers to move on the road.
In the outside world, another illusory Palace appeared behind Mar-Dule.
This Palace was around eight hundred meters, doubling the height of his Mortal Palace.
