Sol sat down and started enthusiastically taking out medicinal plants from the storage bag. These medicinal plants were all Tier 3.

Abdu seeing this couldn’t help but say.

"Why start at the most difficult level, wouldn’t it be better to start at the basics?"

Sol smiled and said.

"I want to challenge myself, so I chose the limit of knowledge. That’s the only way I can improve."

Abdu didn’t agree with Sol’s words.

There was alchemy in the past, but similar to his knowledge about runes, his knowledge of Alchemy was quite shallow. Nevertheless, he knew a thing or two about it and he judged Sol’s actions to be too hasty. He was rushing things too much.

As if Sol could read his mind, he said with a smile still on his face.

"I know you think I’m rushing things, but I’ve been studying how to concoct these pills for nearly a year. I’ve memorized everything about the plants and the pill formula along with the concoction method. I’m really confident that I would be able to refine these tier 3 pills."

Abdu still didn’t agree with Sol, but he didn’t say anything and only watched as he finished taking out his medicinal plants and herbs.

Abdu saw that Sol placed the storage bag back into the storage ring on his finger, and he couldn’t help but remember something before asking.

"Why haven’t I seen you use the storage space from Su Moon’s Legacy Rune?"

Back in the Library when Sol fully absorbed Su Moon’s legacy, he claimed that it had a storage space and went on to store the thousands of books inside the library in it.

Sol paused and looked down at his storage ring before saying.

"If Ji-Hoon hadn’t given me this storage ring, I would probably be using it more often. The storage space from Su Moon’s legacy rune is massive and I do use it. All the Aether Stones and high-grade medicinal plants I got from scamming those City Lords in Pearl City are inside. However, it will feel weird if I just stuff it with miscellaneous things. This storage ring, however, is about the same size as this cave and it’s perfect for storing the things I immediately need."

Abdu hearing this nodded in understanding.

After putting away the storage bag, Sol glanced at the four sets of medicinal plants placed in front of him.

Each set had six different plants and herbs, all of which when concocted using a specific pill formula will produce a Tier 3 Aether Gather Pill.

An Aether Gathering Pill as the name suggests, helps a cultivator gather Aether Energy inside their body, boosting their cultivation speed.

However, this set of medicinal plants was meant to refine an Aether Gathering Pill specifically for cultivators who cultivate Wood Aether Energy.

Sol went on to inspect the ingredients for any defects that could cause his refinement to fail. After checking all of them and finding nothing, Sol set his eyes on the massive cauldron in front of him.

He got up and approached it, his eyes shining intensely.

For any alchemist out there, if you asked them what the one thing was they couldn’t live without some would say their hands, but a majority would say their alchemic cauldron.

For a normal alchemist, they would usually have three alchemic cauldrons throughout their lives.

The first one was when they became a Pill Apprentice. The second was when they become a Pill Master, and the third is when they hopefully become a Pill Grandmaster.

Each alchemic cauldron was precious, and they acted like a record of the alchemist’s life’s work.

However, there were rare instances when an alchemist was able to find a top-tier pill cauldron that could serve them throughout their lives. Such cauldrons were equal to that alchemist’s lives in terms of importance.

As Sol approached the pill cauldron, he gently stroked it and softly muttered.

"From now on, you’ll be my one and only alchemic cauldron that will accompany me for my entire alchemy journey."

Maybe Sol was just sensing things wrongly, but he could have sworn he felt the cauldron slightly tremble under his fingertips.

After placing this feeling at the back of his mind, Sol went to activate the 8th Tier runes so he could start his pill refinement!

"Ah, wait, how exactly am I going to activate these runes?"

Sol froze and an anxious expression overcame his face.

"I’m not proficient in runes of this level, don’t tell me I will have to use other methods to heat the cauldron."

Sol scratched his head as he looked at the auspicious beasts on the cauldron.

At this time Abdu suddenly said.

"If this cauldron is the replica of the original then you should be able to activate these runes without needing to master Tier 8 runes."

Sol’s expression lit up.

"Little Abdu, hurry, tell me how to do that!"

Sol hopped from one foot to the other as he urged Abdu to spit out the method.

"It’s simple, all you need to do is leave a Soul Imprint on it and you will be able to control it using your Soul Energy."

Sol’s expression suddenly turned dark when he heard that.

"Little Abdu, I’m not in the Spiritual Realm so how can I leave a Soul Imprint on it with my Soul Energy?"

"You might not be able to use your Soul Energy, but you have the next best thing, your Willpower. It’s explicable linked to your soul so you can use it as a substitute for a Soul Imprint."

"So, a Willpower Imprint?"

Abdu nodded but said.

"However, it can only be a substitute. You won’t be able to control the runes as easily as you can with your Soul Energy so after entering the Spiritual Realm, I suggest you replace the Willpower Imprint with a Soul Imprint."

Sol nodded before he turned to the cauldron and asked.

"So how do I leave a Willpower Imprint on the cauldron?"

"Just infuse a drop of blood with your Willpower and let it fall inside the cauldron."

Upon hearing this Sol didn’t hesitate to reach over to the cover atop the cauldron and lift it off.

However, immediately after he did, a cloud of dust shot out and spread to cover this side of the cave.
