The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 299- Fist Intent

Chapter 299: Chapter 299- Fist Intent

Only after a few minutes had passed did Abdu finally let go of Sol. He then hid his face from Sol and transformed back into his cat form.

Abdu returned to normal and pretended as if he didn’t just hug Sol. His expression was serious as he looked up at Sol from the ground and asked.

"What happened to you just now?"

Sol could feel that Abdu had been crying against his chest, but he pretended like he didn’t realize as he explained.

"I was mimicking someone’s aura to see if I could increase the strength of my Martial Skill."

Abdu glared at Sol and spoke.

"Using your Willpower to mimic someone’s aura is extremely dangerous. Anything involving your soul should be handled with caution. I wasn’t going to say anything but at this point, I can’t stay silent."

Hearing this, Sol realized Abdu knew about Willpower.

"Listen here brat, to open your Heavenly Palace one must understand themselves and understand the world around them. Your thoughts and desires play a pivotal role in understanding your true yourself. Whether you’re a villain who has no qualms about murdering people, or whether you’re a benevolent monk that wants peace. One needs to find their true self. However, on the path of cultivation, your thoughts and desires can change. You could go from a benevolent monk wanting peace, to a villain who would murder innocent people in cold blood.

"Cultivation isn’t about just cultivating your strength; it’s also about cultivating your mind and soul. Now what do you think would happen if you allowed your Willpower, your thoughts and desires, your very soul, what if you allowed them to be influenced by that person’s aura? It might not be noticeable now, but what you just did could plant a seed within your soul that over time will bloom and start to influence your thoughts and desires. Do you understand what I’m trying to say? Willpower is a concept that even those in my time have never been able to understand, and even fear delving too deep into learning it. Those who did either become bedeviled and turned into nothing short of bloodthirsty demons, or become crippled from having their mindscapes collapse, so be careful."

Sol silently listened to Abdu’s words. Afterward, he smiled and said.

"I understand, but you don’t have to worry that I’ll become like that person in the future, Little Abdu. That person only sees value in strength and views everyone as ants. He’s also cold and heartless even to his own flesh and blood. I can never become someone like that because I place too much importance on those closest to me. And my desire to protect them is the core of my Willpower, nothing will change that."

After saying this, Sol suddenly turned around and threw out a punch.

A golden fist projection encapsulated Heaven and Earth. It was radiating a domineering and forceful aura that dwarfed all the previous fists combined, even its strength was nothing short of the original Heavenly Domain Fist.

The void twisted and distorted as the golden fist projection shot out. After it eventually lost momentum, the space that had the Aether Energy along with Heaven Earth in disarray from the previous fist, had returned to normal.

Abdu was once again shocked by Sol’s Martial Skill.

This Martial Skill could no longer be categorized as a Spiritual Realm Martial Skill. The profundities it contained made it at the very least a Quasi-Heavenly Realm or even an actual Heavenly Realm Martial Skill.

Byeong-Ho had already shocked Jianghu and the Eastern Continent when he mastered the Huashan Sect’s Heavenly Martial Arts, the twenty-four Plum Blossom Sword Play.

If Sol creating a Spiritual Realm Martial Skill was unbelievable, him creating a Martial Skill of an even higher level would simply turn the cultivation world on its head.

Sol turned to Abdu and said with a smile.

"When I first created this Martial Skill, it lacked Willpower. I tried filling it with Fire Aether but that obviously didn’t work. After I found out what was missing, I added Willpower but it wasn’t enough because I was running away from who I was. So, when I realized that, I knew I had to accept my true self. However..."

Sol forced a smile as he scratched his cheek and continued.

"I first wanted to test something out, so I copied that person’s aura and performed my Martial Skill. The result was that the Martial Skill had enough Willpower, but it lacked strength. The attack I did just now contained my thoughts and desires to protect my friends and loved ones. I prefer this type of strength."

After Abdu heard Sol’s explanation, he sighed. He then went to say something, but he suddenly looked at Sol’s hand before asking in confusion.

"What is that?"

"Hm?"

Sol glanced down at his hand but was instantly dumbfounded by what he saw.

Lifting his right hand, Sol stared at the golden aura that had appeared around it.

"Wah-What is this? Is it from the Martial Skill? But why is it lingering on my hand?"

Sol shook his hand and the golden aura swayed but didn’t dissipate.

Just as Sol was becoming more and more confused, he realized this golden aura seemed familiar.

"Huh? This is like Byeong-Ho’s Sword Intent, or Dae Han’s Killing Intent. Ah! So, is this Intent? But what kind of Intent is it?"

Sol scratched his head as he looked at his golden palm. He then clenched his fist and he felt power coursing through it.

’I feel like this is something amazing.’

As Sol was in his thoughts, he hesitated for a moment but eventually decided to test something out. He suddenly pushed his palm forward to see what would happen.

All of a sudden, the golden light around his hand flared up, and a golden palm projection about ten meters large shot out from Sol’s hand. It then went on to uproot the ground and send small rocks and debris flying into the air.

The void trembled as this palm attack faded away after it reached about thirty meters. Another section of this dense forest had another clearing of thirty meters.

Judging by the power of this attack, this casual push of Sol’s palm was almost as strong as the attack from a Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivator!

Sol was absolutely stupefied by this.

Abdu, who had to jump out of the way of the palm attack, couldn’t be bothered to be shocked by Sol’s actions again. He had to get used to these bizarre things happening so long as he was with this brat.

"I understand now, this is Fist Intent! Ah, wait, maybe it’s called Palm Intent? No, aren’t they the same thing? I read that they all fall under Fist Intent. I think there is also Finger Intent."

Sol extended his index finger resulting in the golden light gathered onto it and protracting to about six inches.

"Or maybe I should just call it Hand Intent to cover all of them?"

As Sol voiced his confused thoughts, he looked down at his hands and tried controlling the golden energy to familiarize himself with it.

After that palm attack, the golden light had diminished drastically.

"I’ll just stick with Fist Intent, it seems simpler."

Sol said after some thought.

"You must have mastered it after successfully creating that Martial Skill thingy."

Abdu said and Sol nodded.

"It seems so, but I wasn’t even trying to master it but ended up doing so anyway. Haha, it looks like I’m more of a genius... than... I..."

Sol’s words suddenly started trailing off before he tipped over and fainted.

Having used those powerful attacks back-to-back, this palm strike was what broke the camel’s back, and he thoroughly exhausted himself.

Abdu walked over and sat next to him. He then looked at Sol’s face covered by his bangs and sighed.

Abdu wiggled his paw and Death Energy gathered around Sol’s body to lift him. However, the Fist Intent that had disappeared from Sol’s palm returned to faintly cover his entire body. The Death Energy surrounding Sol was forced back.

Abdu seeing this looked on with a stupefied expression.

Sol had just unlocked Fist Intent, but it was able to coat his entire body even though he was unconscious. It’s as if Sol was blessed by immense talents to use Fist Intent, it was even going out of its way to actively protect him.

"This brat is simply..."

Abdu stopped himself and sighed. Now it felt like he would never stop being surprised by Sol.

Instead of using his Death Energy, Abdu decided to use his Soul Energy to pick Sol up and carry him up the mountain back to their cave abode.

Inside the cave, the seedling worked overtime to help Sol recover from his exhaustion. A few minutes later Sol’s eyes cracked open.

He looked around and saw that he was back inside the cave. He weakly thanked Abdu who was lying close by before closing his eyes and took over his Innate Dharma to actively work to cultivate and reduce his exhaustion.
