The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 259- It’s Really Good

Chapter 259: Chapter 259- It’s Really Good

"Look at him, that bastard completely screwed us over."

"Yeah, I was just about to bag my strongest sandworm yet, but he swooped in and killed it with a single arrow. That black cat then carried it away before I could even do anything."

"Hey, don’t you think he must probably have a lot of tasty sandworms in his storage ring right now? How about we challenge him to get a few?"

Everyone paused and then turned to look at this youth.

"Cousin, if you want to get beaten to a pulp then we won’t join you."

"That’s right, as your brother there are some things we don’t have to share as siblings. You can go get a beating if you want to."

The youth who proposed to fight Sol had his face changed.

"Who’s going to challenge that monster alone? I’d rather face that Sand King."

As the burly youths talked among themselves, the person in question they were talking about had walked past them towards one of the largest tents in the Tribe.

Surprisingly the tents had managed to withstand the sandstorm. Sol found out they were specially made, and had a similar effect as the protective robes, and the Steel Tribe’s Steel City.

"Uncle Sol! Are you going to join the Festival?!"

A few kids appeared in front of Sol. The boy at the head of the group who looked to be the leader was the one who yelled. He was the same youth Mar-Dule had kicked when they first came to the Tribe.

It appears he was the leader among the children in the village.

Sol smiled and nodded.

"That’s right, I think I’ll be able to make it."

After the Hunt, the Tribe would usually have a large Festival. It was happening four days from now.

Sol didn’t know how long it would take to get the Hellfire Grass, but maybe it would be fast, at the same time, he might be able to make it to the Festival.

The boy hearing that walked up to Sol and lightly punched his chest.

He was about one and a half head shorter than Sol.

After lightly punching Sol, the boy said seriously.

"I heard you set a new record during the Hunt. But mark my words, you’re looking at the one who’s going to break it!"

The kids behind the youth suddenly cheered.

"Wah! Eldest cousin will definitely break your record!"

Though some couldn’t help but make fun of him.

"Haha, cousin why are you being so serious? Weren’t you just talking about how cool Uncle Sol was?"

The youth suddenly blushed and he turned to yell at the kids making fun of him.

"Ah! What are you talking about?! I did no such thing!"

The kids all laughed, while the youth got even more embarrassed.

Suddenly, he felt a hand on his head. The youth turned to see that it was Sol.

Smiling Sol said.

"I welcome the challenge. Make sure to get as strong as possible so we can have a spar."

The youth felt excitement rise in his heart and it poured out in the form of a grin.

"Of course!"

Sol patted the youth’s head some more before he continued towards the large tent.

After watching Sol leave, the youth’s grin fell and he turned to glare at the youths.

"How dare you try to embarrass me in front of Uncle Sol? Come here!"

"Haha! Run, Eldest cousin is it!"

"Huh? Who said I’m playing with you? When I catch you you’ll see if I’m playing!"

The kids started running with the youth chasing after them.

"Eldest cousin, do you think you’re the only one who looks up to Uncle Sol? You’re forgetting you have us to compete with!"

"Yeah, and there’s no way we’ll just let you break the record!"

"Huh? So you want to challenge me, is that it? Why don’t you stop and we’ll have a battle right now?"

"Do you think we’re dumb? You’re so much stronger than us that it’s unfair!"

"So you know? Why don’t you stop so I can pat you on the back?"

The kids didn’t respond and only laughed as they ran faster.

Sol watched them as they disappeared into the crowd before he lifted the flap of the tent and entered.

After entering he saw that the interior had simple decorations to mimic that of a main dining hall.

"Hey, don’t roast it for too long. I said I like mine when its tender."

"Mine is ready, so just hand it over."

"I can’t wait either, so just give me mine as well."

"Damn it, can’t you old farts wait?"

"Huh? I’m already so old, if I have to wait for you to finish cooking this meat I might drop dead from old age."

In the middle of the tent, Sol saw a few old men huddle around a fire. He saw Mar-Dule and Mar-Du there as well.

Over the fire, he there were several pieces of meat roasting.

The aroma immediately hit him, and his mouth instinctively started to water. Without even tasting that meat Sol could tell it was several tiers above the sandworms he had eaten before.

Even Abdu’s nose twitched before he woke up and looked at what was happening.

When Sol entered, everyone turned to look at him; mouths full and grease all over their lips.

"Ah, Sol hurry, come join us."

"Hey, brat, hurry and close the flap. What would you do if the scent of this meat got out? Can you handle the chaos it would cause?"

Sol hurriedly entered and closed the flaps.

He walked over and sat at the only other empty chair in the circle.

"Here, try it."

The old man in charge of roasting the meat handed Sol one of the pieces of meat that was over the fire.

Sol said a thank you as he took it and immediately bit into it.

The juice of the meat covered his tongue, and Sol almost released a moan of pleasure. However, when he started chewing the meat, he was so overcome with its taste that he closed his eyes while the moan slipped past his lips.

Sol immediately paused and opened his eyes to see everyone looking at him; he blushed.

"It’s really good."

Was the only thing Sol could say. However, everyone started laughing as if they knew this was going to happen.

The old man who gave Sol the meat said.

"You handled it better than this brat. He couldn’t stop licking his fingers after he ate it all."

Mar-Dule smiled embarrassingly.

"Granduncle Mar-Numu, I couldn’t help it. Where exactly did get this meat from?"

"It’s meat from the Sand King, he went too far so we decided to kill it."

"Ooo, no wonder it tasted so good. Hehe, with it being so big the meat on its body must be a lot. Uncle Mar-Numu, can I get a few slices?"

"Huh? You want my catch? Look at you..."

Uncle Mar-Numu jabbed Mar-Dule’s belly and it jiggled.

"...If you continue like this that fat might stop being from you cultivating and instead from you eating."

Mar-Dule rubbed his belly and laughed a little.

However, despite that, a storage bag appeared in Uncle Mar-Numu’s palm out of nowhere before he handed it to Mar-Dule.

Mar-Dule eyes shone as he looked inside the storage bag.

"Haha, thank you Grand Uncle Mar-Numu."

"Here, this is your share as well."

Uncle Mar-Numu said as he handed another storage bag to Sol.

"I’m not sure which Aether Energy you cultivate, whether it’s the Wood Aether Energy or Fire Aether Energy. And though this meat is only rich in Fire Aether Energy, it shouldn’t be a problem if you only cultivate Wood Aether Energy. The taste will make up for it."

"Thank you, Senior."

"Just call me, Uncle Numu."

Sol nodded.

While Sol was putting away his storage bag, everyone glanced at each other before focusing on Mar-Du.

Mar-Du seeing this coughed in his fist before saying.

"Sol, I hope you’re up to answer some of the questions we have about your bloodline. Of course, we won’t ask any sensitive questions you’re uncomfortably answering. And at the same time, you can ask us for anything. Ah, you did say you needed our Deep Autumn Flower to help a friend, right?"
