Chapter 221: Chapter 221- Here’s What I’m Going To Do...

"Sol, stop!"

Yoon-Jae reached Sol and got him to let go of the male disciple.

With a thump, the young man dropped to the ground and began dry coughing. He then looked up at Sol and his body trembled as he backed away.

The thought of attacking Sol was the last thing that appeared in his mind.

"Bastard! What are you doing?!"

The other disciples of the Disciplinary Pavilion pulled out their weapons and glared at Sol.

"Damn it, Sol, why did you do that?"

Yoon-Jae muttered under his breath as he stepped in front of Sol defensively.

Cheong-San, Cheong-Su, and Byeong-Ho stepped forward to confront the Disciplinary Disciples as well.

Mar-Dule, however, hesitated on the side.

But before tension could rise any further and result in a fight, a cold voice thundered over the area.

"ENOUGH!!"

Everyone turned to see a young man coming out of the City Gate.

His face was expressionless and by the white robes he was wearing, one could tell he was a disciple from the Disciplinary Pavilion as well.

However, when the other Disciplinary Disciples saw him, they immediately stopped what they were doing to greet him.

"Greetings, Senior Brother Gion!!"

"A bunch of bastards!!"

Gion cursed at these disciples rather than acknowledging their greetings.

He stopped in the middle of them and glared at each disciple until they lowered their heads.

"Who ordered you to make this arrest?"

Gion turned his head to a female disciple nearby.

"Se-Senior Brother Gion, Young Master Woo-Seo-"

"Since when did disciples of the Disciplinary Pavilion take orders from regular disciples?!!"

Before the girl could finish her sentence, Gion stood over her and roared.

The girl visibly trembled, but another disciple next to her said softly.

"Senior Brother, we didn’t have any other choice. You know that."

Gion furrowed his brows.

"You’re all dismissed. And I won’t look into you all for carrying out an illegal arrest of a disciple from our Martial Alliance Academy."

"But senior brother, that bastard attacked-"

Gion immediately turned to glare at the youth who was trying to disobey his orders; shutting him up.

He then growled out.

"Just because you’re a part of the Disciplinary Pavilion do you think you’re untouchable? Let me tell you something, the Disciples of the Academy have their rights, and coming here to publicly arrest him on ’suspicion’ of a murder is infringing on his rights as a disciple. So, rather than being kicked out of the Academy or worse, be imprisoned for abuse of your authority, wouldn’t it be best to take the out I’m giving you and leave?"

This youth and the other disciples of the Disciplinary Pavilion’s faces went pale before they all turned to hurriedly enter the City.

After they left, Gion sighed and turned to Sol.

"We meet again. As the Head Disciple of the Disciplinary Pavilion, I formally apologize to you Brother Sol. But would you accompany me to the Disciplinary Pavilion Mountain for questioning?"

Sol was a bit more willing to listen to this person.

He recognized him to be the cold-faced young man who had helped him find his Uncle Master’s Pavilion when he first arrived on the Alchemy Pavilion Mountain.

"What is this about I murdered someone?"

"Brother Sol was always with us, so how could he have murdered Geon-Soo?"

Byeong-Ho said while stepping forward.

"What?!"

"What?!"

Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae were extremely taken aback by this news, as was everyone else.

Gion immediately released an exhausted sigh before he glared at Byeong-Ho.

He was already enraged that the disciples before revealed Geon-Soo’s death to the public, but here this bastard was telling everyone who the victim was.

"Thanks for revealing the victim to everyone. I should arrest you too for interfering with my investigation."

"Ah, no, I apologize."

Byeong-Ho said awkwardly.

Gion glared some more before he turned back to Sol.

"Brother Sol, as of right now you are the main suspect in Geon-Soo’s death giving your history with him. However, some parties have already deemed you guilty straight away. So for your safety, and for this to be solved without problems, I suggest you comply with my request."

"Sorry, I can’t right now."

Sol was about to walk away, but Yoon-Jae stopped him.

"Sol, this isn’t so simple. Look, I’ll take Little Zeel to Master, you need to go with him. Afterward, I’ll come report to you, okay?"

Yoon-Jae went to take Little Zeel from Sol, and though he hesitated, Sol ultimately gave up Little Zeel.

"Wise choice, come with me."

Gion without delay, turned and walked into the City.

After glancing at Little Zeel, Sol said.

"Abdu, watch over Little Zeel for me."

Abdu without a word, jumped onto Yoon-Jae’s head.

Sol then followed behind Gion into the City.

Yoon-Jae turned to Byeong-Ho.

"You’ve got some explaining to do."

Meanwhile, the Huashan Sect’s ship began to float up.

The disciples on board couldn’t help but discuss what had just happened along with the cultivators waiting to enter the City. News of Geon-Soo’s death and Sol’s involvement soon began to spread like wildfire.

....

...

..

Inside an isolated room with only one door, Gion sat down across from Sol while throwing down a stack of papers on the table between them.

"You shouldn’t have done that. This just made the situation ten times worse."

After saying that, Gion looked at the silent Sol and sighed.

"Where were you on the 12th day of the fourth month?"

"I was leaving for the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension."

"You didn’t happen to stop by the Irregular Dharma Pavilion Mountain by any chance, did you?"

"No."

"Can you verify that?"

"I was training in my courtyard with my Brother Yoon-Jae right up until we left the Academy."

"You’ll need a stronger alibi than a friend’s own."

"I didn’t kill Geon-Soo."

"Of course you didn’t. There are no records on your Disciple Token of you using the Teleportation Hall to visit the Irregular Dharma Pavilion. Well, there wasn’t until a few days ago."

Gion was sifting throw the papers on the table. He suddenly stopped talking to look up at Sol.

"Geon-Soo’s dead, and all the evidence points to you. You and I both know you aren’t the culprit, but someone wants to pin this all on you."

Sol frowned.

"Is it the Wudang Sect?"

"Did you make enemies with anyone else?"

"No."

Gion looked at Sol and sighed for the umpteenth time.

He leaned back in his chair and said.

"Honestly, I can’t be bothered to waste my time questioning you when I should be out there catching the real culprit. Who knows if this is an isolated incident, or the start of a string of murders. So, here’s what I’m going to do..."

Sol met Gion’s gaze.

"...I’m going to put out a statement that says you’re innocent, but to avoid certain ’individuals’ from making a ruckus I’ll say you’ll be helping with the investigation to prove you’re innocent. You don’t have to do anything, and after I find the culprit, you can continue your life in the Academy as normal."
