Chapter 256: 4.09.5 You lied to me.

A mistake on my end. A small unexpected one.

She was a nuisance, before it was funny to look at her struggle, but the moment she became strong, she lost that edge, that fun which comes from the struggle.

Strength is a wonderful thing in my eyes. For one, it makes things easy in a world that might reign supreme. There is no danger so there is no reason to think about one’s choices anymore.

Whatever they choose will be easy to accomplish. A sort of boring aspect of stronger strength that I don’t like very much.

The current Remira was the same, knowing that there was no competition for her on this battlefield, she didn’t bother taking part in the game, she could just overturn the game board and strike the king directly.

A hateable opponent that requires some work before I can deal with her. Time that I didn’t have.

So I sent her away to the place where Farhad was going.

His own sister was still unaware of the upheaval in the village and the danger that was born of it. But Farhad was not the same. From the way the critters that surrounded him disappeared one by one and then the light that broke out not too far off, he was well aware of Remira’s existence. In truth, he wished she would come his way.

He wished to make sure that nothing was wrong with his sister using Remira, who was very sensitive to curses and the like due to her bloodline.

"That cave?" He wondered, as the last remaining rats slowly disappeared from his view, of course not before informing him of the little traps that might be hidden around the mountain cliff.

"Fahna, I am here." He shouted from afar, but there was no response at first. He didn’t even know if she heard it or if she was here, to begin with. All he could depend on was the rats that showed him the way.

Rat’s what was under my control and I was someone he didn’t trust. Not completely at least. Though to prove him wrong, a man’s face appeared in front of him. Someone he was very familiar with.

"Who are you?" he asked, his sword straightly aimed at Farhad’s face. "?... What were your board percentages?"

He didn’t think this was Farhad, just someone who had the same face. Because no way in hell, that Farhad would come at such an inopportune time when Fahna had just been injured badly. Coincidences like this don’t happen out of nowhere, there should be a reason for it or a trap.

Who knows, if the dwarf from before had someone to deal with Fahna, knowing full well who she was and using the face of her brother as the bait.

"Uncle, Don’t make me embarrassed. But considering the circumstances, it was 61% and my father made me stand in the rain for the whole day for it. "

"The being that we are dealing with was in the head of the Master for a long."

"You presume I am using some stolen memories?" Farhad spoke before gently conjuring up a blackish flame that felt unholy and familiar to the Butler. "This should be enough."

"Young Master?" The Butler had been aware of the flames, but the flames in Farhad’s hand were nothing like the one he remembered, if not for the holy presence those flames carried, he might have thought it was entirely something else.

"I don’t have time, remove all these traps and come with me, there should be people rushing here soon enough."

The Butler had many questions, including how Farhad found them. But this was no time, seeing the worried look on Farhad’s face and how the night was not as peaceful anymore, there was even a fire not too far in the distance. The Butler knew that something bad had happened while he was taking care of Fahna.

"The Masters from Pulgasari must be rushing here." He understood this was not a safe place, to begin with since all the intelligence from the Bothal stopped coming out. It would seem that there was a great upheaval going on in the capital, and the whole transcendent world of Pulgasari was on edge.

So it would be no wonder if there was a strong response to the events that were going on in the village.

"Yes and something much worse, If I know him right."

"Know who the young master is?"

"Considering you are here, the answer should be in front of you, why try to hide it?"

"That monster that scares you?" The Butler asked and hearing the word scared, Farhad felt offended.

In his dreams, he had seen that feared face of the monster, how the young Jester was afraid of his own rat.

But he can’t say such things. "Yes, he wishes to help me for now and has led me here to you. So go and get my sister, we have to leave, now. Or we won’t be able to escape from this place anymore."

"About that, Lady Fahna had been injured and I have given her some healing potions, though as the drugs were too strong, she is out for the moment."

"Then carry her, we have to leave now." The Butler understood that time was of the essence and wasting any more time to ensure that this was Farhad would cost him too much.

So he abandoned the act and went in to take Fahna out who was seemingly awake, unlike what the butler had claimed before. But she still acted asleep and kept a watch on her so-called brother, who was leading the way out of the forest.

"She still has Father’s artifact on herself?" Farhad asked and the Butler nodded.

"Then use it on me, create a copy of mine, and leave it there." The artifact here was nothing more than the one that helped Remira create a body double that couldn’t do anything but act like a corpse for a little while.

Matching all radiation or aura from the user, was the perfect tool to fool your opponents, but it held no destructive potential at all.

And under Farhad’s behest, the Butler was able to use it.

Taking a piece of Farhad’s hair, he fed it to the small sack doll, which grew to the size of Farhad. "Cut his arm and the two legs." The Butler was confused, but he didn’t question at the moment, he did as he was told and then, he left with Farhad.

"Master, why do such a thing? Damage such a precious artifact?"

"The woman pursuing me has a strong nose and if she were to find a body the same as me, while also finding a trail of my scent that went deep into the woods, what would she think?"

"This?"

"Hence I asked you to cut off my limbs and legs, make it appear as if whoever attacked me took my limbs away, hence the trail. And considering her goals, she won’t move far from my body, she might even act as a barrier to whatever is coming from our back."

"I don’t sense anything though?"

"The one we are dealing with is Jester, he never does things without a reason. His leading me here obviously had some ulterior motives. As for what they were. I don’t know. But it’s always better to be more prepared."

Fahna heard all of this while on Butler’s back, wondering if this was really her brother or not. This was unlike the coward she remembers, the coward that couldn’t even stare into her eyes before shying away in fear and embarrassment.

Even though he was able to do so after their Father’s death, he was closed off and rarely anyone understood what was going on in his head.

He had seen too much, survived a hell that she couldn’t even fathom. So it was no wonder if Farhad would be a bit broken. A defeated man with a defeated mind who just wallowed in his misery while cooping in his room, hiding from the monster that was Jester.

But now, this same brother of hers was leading her out of danger. A kind of danger she didn’t even understand as her mind was a bit high due to the potions that were healing her injuries.

’This can’t be Farhad. ’ She thought, readying herself to attack him the moment he made a monumental mistake or dared to harm the Butler.

None of which came to pass, but what did happen was a round of explosions from the back that were unlike anything either Farhad or even his entourage expected.

’It worked?’ He wondered, baffled over just what had happened there.

"You bitch, I didn’t do this, he was this way when I came here." Vegal cursed as he saw the broken body of Baldar that didn’t materialize once again.

’He left?’ He knew that the bastard was not dead.

None Of the Infernals were easy to kill, even the Flames of Devotion were completely useless in front of those pervy creatures.

Meaning only one thing. "Clown, you lied to me." He cried as he deflected Remira’s attack, who had turned berserk after seeing the state of Farhad’s body.
