Chapter 50: Chapter 49 - Luther and the Demon King

"Why did you ask to meet me?" A man stood on his throne, annoyed by the presence of an insect entering his realm.

"We had a deal!" A man with long, pointy ears shouted toward the man on the throne without a care in the world. "You said that you would keep your son away from my daughter!"

The man on the throne just burst out laughing at the pathetic words.

"Hahaha! You want me to control my son?" He continued to laugh; this time it was even louder, causing the ground to shake as a result.

Shivers ran down the spine of Luther, the man who had come to meet with the Demon King.

"Who am I to control my son’s envies? He can do whatever he wishes. That’s what it means to be my son. If he wants to have fun with your daughter, then you should thank him, not complain. It’s an honor for her to have entered the sight of my son."

Luther gritted his teeth at those words that were completely ridiculous.

’Thank him for fucking my granddaughter?! That son of a bitch!’ Luther couldn’t help but clench his fists.

However, he stayed silent. He knew better than to oppose the Demon King. He knew of the consequences... he had already seen one person endure them, and he knew that it was the last thing that he wanted to happen.

"Please, I just want to have a talk with your son. I’ve already let go of some things because he is your son. But if he continues to do those things to my granddaughter, then I’m not sure that I will be able to control myself from hurt—"

Right as Luther was about to pronounce another word, he could no longer move a single muscle. He was frozen in place, unable to even move his mouth.

The Demon King scoffed at the arrogance. "The only reason that you are even alive right now is because I wished it. You betrayed the only person in the world who ever faced a threat against me, and you’re now asking things of me. You are a repulsive being. And if I ever hear you threaten my son again, I will have your head right next to the one you all betrayed one hundred years ago."

Luther felt shivers running down his spine as he knew that the relationship he had with the Demon King wasn’t an equal one.

"And what makes you think that you could even win against my son?"

"I’m much stronger than him. It’s evident."

The Demon King burst out laughing. "You weren’t even able to resist this much pressure. My son was able to push through it. He showed me his willpower, something that you have none of."

"Who cares about willpower when I have overwhelming power?"

The Demon King shook his head at the pathetic words coming out of Luther’s mouth. "That’s why he was so much better than the rest of you. He always aimed to be the best; he never rested, he never tried to take a breather because he knew just how strong I was. He knew that I was a threat that could destroy humanity."

"My son even reminded me of him when I met him over eight years ago."

Luther, this time, could hardly believe it.

"W-Wait, he managed to resist your pressure at the age of 10?! How is that even possible?"

"Haha! If only it was just that, I wouldn’t have cared. What impressed me was that he managed to do so with corrupted mana circuits. With his body at its weakest, he managed to push through using only his mind."

’Just what kind of monster did he get as a son?’ Luther thought. ’The older one is already problematic enough; if the younger one is even more of a monster, then we will never be able to win against them.’

"I-I see... truly impressive."

The Demon King nodded swiftly, as he was getting tired of having an ant before him.

"Off you go. Your presence annoys me greatly."

Luther gritted his teeth and shut his mouth.

"What about our other deal? Y-You’ll respect that one, right?"

He started laughing again. "As long as I’m not too bored, though I have been feeling pretty bored lately, so who knows?"

Luther’s eyes widened. ’I need to talk with the others. He’s completely lost his mind. If he breaks the deal, then the entire world might be in danger. The perfect lives that we have lived ever since we betrayed Caliste might disappear at once.’

"T-Thank you for receiving me! It was an honor to meet you once again."

The Demon King waved his hand dismissively, telling Luther to leave right away, and as soon as he did, the grin on his face just widened even more as a huge crystal ball appeared before him.

Inside of it showed his son having some fun with Luther’s daughter.

"Both daughter and granddaughter... Luther will lose his mind if he goes against his wife. He might even try to kill him." He smirked. "That will be fun to watch."

The only reason why the Demon King had not broken the deal just yet was because of that son of his. While he had not spoken to him in over eight years, he had watched his growth, and he had never been more entertained than watching his son try to grow as strong as possible with only one goal in his mind: to become stronger than his father.

"He really reminds me of him. Is that why Ava chose that name for him?" He muttered to himself as old memories suddenly resurfaced in his mind. "Whatever, who cares."

While that happened, morning came, which meant that it was finally time for Caliste to leave his dungeon cell, a place where he had gotten a lot of "fun," surprisingly.

Alder’s wife had been a real treat. So much that he almost wanted to have another taste before leaving.

’Mhm... I should try fucking both mother and daughter at the same time. That’d be fun,’ Caliste thought as naughty thoughts began filling his mind.
