Chapter 1292 - Chapter 1292 Chapter 1391 Demon Beast Forest

Chapter 1292: Chapter 1391: Demon Beast Forest Chapter 1292: Chapter 1391: Demon Beast Forest The surrounding weaker demon beasts had completely scattered, leaving only the five-colored bird, the white-haired giant bear, the purple-haired giant rat, and that gray spider.

Fang Lin stood in the midst, watching these few Demon Kings coolly, feeling somewhat surprised in his heart.

With Fang Lin’s current strength, within the realm of the Spirit Bone, there shouldn’t be any opponents for him, and when it came to the Fifth Transformations Demon Kings, there probably weren’t many Demon Kings that could contend with Fang Lin.

Yet the several Demon Kings present were not a match for Fang Lin individually, but the four Demon Kings had some coordination with each other. Although it wasn’t too perfect, under such coordination, the four Demon Kings were not so easy to defeat.

Fang Lin thought to himself that he didn’t have the energy to tangle with these Demon Kings, and even if he defeated these Demon Kings, it wouldn’t mean much.

Just as the four Demon Kings were about to launch another attack on Fang Lin, he directly pulled out the golden-haired puppy from the Beast Bag and lifted it in front of him, holding the puppy up.

The golden-haired puppy was still asleep, being suddenly lifted out by Fang Lin, it hadn’t yet come to its senses and yawned.

Seeing the golden-haired puppy, the four Demon Kings initially felt disdainful, although they were demon beasts, they were, after all, at the level of Demon Kings, their spiritual intelligence no less than that of the Human Clan.

In the eyes of the four Demon Kings, this golden-haired puppy was just an ordinary dog. What was this human doing, taking out such an ordinary dog?

But then the golden-haired puppy barked twice, and the four Demon Kings were immediately shocked, even the most mystical five-colored bird revealed a look of terror in its eyes.

And those scattered demon beasts were even less able to withstand it; after hearing the golden-haired puppy’s barks, they collapsed to the ground, trembling like sieves, with some demon beasts so frightened that they lost control of their bowels and bladders.

The golden-haired puppy continued barking, but not at those demon beasts, rather at Fang Lin, as if it were venting its dissatisfaction and complaining about Fang Lin for waking it from its slumber.

Fang Lin smiled, held the golden-haired puppy in his arms, and stroked its little head, saying, “Don’t always sleep, always sleeping is no way to develop.”

The golden-haired puppy barked twice more but seemed to have calmed down, sticking out its wet tongue and licking Fang Lin’s face twice.

Fang Lin wiped off the saliva from his face and looked at the few Demon Kings again. Sure enough, as usual, as soon as the golden-haired puppy appeared, these Demon Kings immediately became afraid, daring not to approach Fang Lin, and when they looked at the golden-haired puppy in Fang Lin’s hands, their eyes were filled with terror and fear.

Fang Lin had always been curious; just what kind of creature was this golden-haired puppy, and why were the demon beasts so afraid of it.

Curiosity aside, the golden-haired puppy was quite useful. Whenever encountering demon beasts, just taking out the golden-haired puppy, there were no problems at all.

The four Demon Kings were intimidated by the golden-haired puppy, completely not daring to make a move on Fang Lin, but they didn’t leave either, seemingly still having some designs on Fang Lin.

Seeing this, Fang Lin let the golden-haired puppy bark twice more, and the four Demon Kings finally collapsed, scattering and fleeing, quickly disappearing without a trace.

Fang Lin swept his gaze around using his Heavenly Eye and found that his Heavenly Eye was mysteriously suppressed here, only able to see a hundred miles out, unable to see anything further.

It should be noted that Fang Lin’s Heavenly Eye was extraordinary, able to see thousands of miles, but now he could only see a hundred miles, not even as powerful as the usual Spirit Eye.

Fang Lin thought to himself that there must be some secrets to this place; not only were there demon beasts, but there was also some mysterious power suppressing the Heavenly Eye, and he wondered if there were other people here.

Fang Lin was fortunate to have attained the Heavenly Eye. Had he only possessed the Spirit Eye, he wouldn’t have been able to see even a hundred miles around him, at most only twenty or thirty miles.

Fang Lin didn’t let the golden-haired puppy return to the Beast Bag to sleep. Instead, he let it lie on his shoulder to keep watch. As soon as any Demon Beast appeared, he would have the golden-haired puppy bark twice, which was more useful than anything.

He continued to walk through the dense forest, wanting to figure out exactly what this place was. Ideally, he would find others who had entered The Forest of Mist and extract more information from them.

Within this dense forest, there was an astounding number of Demon Beasts. Fang Lin encountered them wherever he went, and he was even more surprised to have already come across more than a dozen Demon Kings.

Demon Kings were not common like cabbages that could be found everywhere. Even back in the day in the Hundred Beast Mountain of Xuan Country, there were only a dozen or so Demon Kings in total.

Yet, within this forest, Fang Lin didn’t even know the extent of this place, and he had already encountered more than a dozen Demon Kings. If he continued on, he feared there would be even more.

Such a multitude of Demon Beasts would constitute a formidable force if let loose in the outside world. Yet, for some unknown reason, they were confined within The Forest of Mist.

After walking for quite a while, Fang Lin found no traces of others but did discover quite a few remains of people who had come before.

In an area where Demon Beasts were gathered, Fang Lin used the golden-haired puppy to scatter the beasts and then saw several skeletons on the ground. They had been dead for over a hundred years, as some of the bones were starting to weather.

Fang Lin examined the bones; they seemed to be those of people from Qian Country who had entered The Forest of Mist. They had ended up in this place, killed by its Demon Beasts, leaving only these skeletal remains.

Fang Lin looked at these bones, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, lost in thought.

The Forest of Mist had taken Fang Lin by surprise. He had initially thought it was just a larger-than-average forest. But now, it seemed to be much more than that–initially, he had entered a boundless wasteland that underwent changes every ten days. Having left from there, he now found himself here.

Although there were Demon Beasts in this place, it seemed more like a prison, trapping them to proliferate and grow, intended to hunt the Human Warriors who entered this land.

“Is this also an array?” Fang Lin murmured.

“Just like the previous place, this is indeed an array. We need to find the Array Eye in order to leave,” the Old Dried Corpse said.

Fang Lin nodded, forming a rough hypothesis in his mind, but he was still uncertain. After all, he had just arrived not long ago and many things were not yet clear.

Five days later, Fang Lin was still roaming the dense forest without a single clue on how to leave.

However, he did come across a corpse–not those of old skeletal remains, but a body that hadn’t been dead for very long.

Moreover, Fang Lin recognized this person as a powerful Pill Alliance expert, with the first level of Spirit Source cultivation.

Fang Lin examined the wounds. The person hadn’t died from a Demon Beast attack, but from a palm strike that had directly killed him, crushing all his internal organs.

“Who killed him? Someone from the Hidden Kill Hall? Or another expert who entered this place?” Fang Lin’s eyebrows knitted.

A hundred miles away from Fang Lin, Zhou Meng and two Pill Alliance experts were in a sorry state. In front of them fluttered a dark shadow, ghostlike.
