The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra -
Chapter 184: Something Is Wrong
Chapter 184: Something Is Wrong
The two left the room with Spade at the front. Arren’s eyes landed first on his alpha before he glanced at Mr. Ivo. He remained calm on the surface, but he was observing the elder omega’s expression or if he cried there. If he did, Spade would get an earful from him!
But, fortunately, he seemed fine. Their eyes met, and Mr. Ivo gave him an assuring smile, and when he was about to return that smile, his vision was blocked by someone. It was specifically an alpha, with a frown on his face, standing before him.
Arren blinked and raised his head to look carefully at the alpha. There was that kind of disapproving frown on his lips that reminded him of a puppy seeking attention. He laughed at that, though, Who knew Spade’s reaction when he found out that Arren was comparing him with a dog?
His lips arched up with a sweet yet playful grin, and his phoenix eyes lit up as he stared at the alpha. "Hi there, Mr. Hottie," he called and even winked. Since Spade’s figure was blocking most of his vision, he couldn’t see Ivo and Rave’s reactions to what he said.
Rave was better off than Ivo, who had seen for the first time how brazen Arren was before the monarch. But who cares? He was allowed to be since he was his lover!
His full attention was now fixed on the alpha, flirting and coaxing him at the same time. "Can you give me your number so I can contact you, Mister?" he continued with his act. And only after he finished that did they both freeze and look at each other. Two seconds of silence had passed before both couldn’t help but laugh as they were reminded of something.
When Spade first visited the Katz Mansion and met Arren for the second time, the omega thought he was an investigator and persisted in asking for his contact information. Only that, Arren’s phone was confiscated, so he didn’t have the opportunity to contact Spade after. Spade even waited that night, but the omega didn’t call him to his disappointment.
Arren then realized he should’ve written the number on paper instead. But at that time, he didn’t know if Spade would wait for him since his impression of the alpha was too snobby and uptight without any kind of reaction at all.
With a sheepish smile, both were already recovered, so Arren stood up and welcomed the alpha properly. His arm wrapped around Spade’s waist, who also did the same with him. Their positions were intimate, even more so for those who saw them.
"You’re done?" he smiled, confirming. It wasn’t a serious question, just a starter.
Spade nodded, gently stroking the omega’s waist. He leaned forward and looked at Arren closely. "Did I make you wait?"
Arren shook his head. "It’s not that long, and I’m with Rave, so I didn’t get bored." I only felt like dying from curiosity, that’s all. He continued that thought in his mind, not daring to say it out loud.
He then looked at the two standing at the side, he gulped down the laughter in his throat upon seeing them look so awakened there, not knowing what to do.
As he still has a conscience, since Spade looked like he didn’t care for the others once they were together, Arren had to take the initiative again.
"Mr. Ivo, you can stay in the mansion with Rave for a while. I’ll make someone prepare a room for the two of you." He let out a lighthearted chuckle. He didn’t know how long the two would stay here, as perhaps the alpha also had arrangements for them as well. "We have a lot of rooms here, you can even choose what you want."
The two didn’t refuse, and not long after an auntie came, both were in a hurry to get away from the two that shamelessly showed their affection for each other around others.
Arren chased them with his eyes before he laughed and then focused his attention again on his alpha, lest he becomes dissatisfied again that he wasn’t paying attention to him.
And there were only two of them left. He grinned and tiptoed as he whispered beside Spade’s ears.
"Want to visit my room?" he arched his brow with a grin playing on his lips, and in this position, he could clearly see just how Spade’s throat bobbed at what Arren said.
His hold on Arren’s waist tightened as his gaze deepened, turning his head and meeting Arren’s eyes. "You don’t need to ask, I’ll sleep here tonight," he whispered, tingling Arren’s ears.
This time, it was Arren’s turn to be taken aback. Damn, that was his loss... on the surface. But... It was always a win, no matter what.
Not long after, they were already in his room, standing beside each other. Arren observed Spade’s expressions, but he was only roaming his eyes around without saying anything.
"I know it’s not as grand as your room," he joked since he was getting tense if Spade was silent for some reason.
As though Arren’s voice was like a spell that broke his reverie, the alpha blinked his eyes and turned to him. His eyes seemed still absentminded, staring at him with those dazed eyes.
Arren knitted his brows, sensing something was odd about Spade! He witnessed it a few times; it was as though he was seeing something in place of Arren. And it was not a good feeling. He didn’t know if the Arren that Spade saw in those visions was him or not.
His fingers trembled, and he touched Spade’s arm to wake him up. "Spade, is something wrong?" he asked, a bit hesitant.
Spade was still in a daze for a second before he blinked and furrowed his brows as he felt Arren’s touch. Arren successfully woke up the alpha. He bit his lips, and his eyes filled with questions.
For the first few times, he could brush it off. But... It was always like this, and he knew that Spade sometimes had this vision of overlapping scenes, just like Arren sometimes had.
This needed to be addressed among the many things they still refused to talk about. Arren was aware that something was wrong with him, or that after he woke up, Spade was being extra careful with him.
He didn’t remember it, and he chose not to, as it was for the best at the moment. Otherwise, these problems would pile up and surge against them like a tide, eventually drowning them.
"Spade, what did you see this time?"
