Chapter 183: Decisive Spade (2)
After a while of silence, Spade raised his gaze and looked at Ivo. Since he had suspicions and guessed that the Marquis might be the leader of the organization, he already had an initial plan.
Now that it has been confirmed, the plan only has to be finalized. However, he was still pondering what to do with Levin and his aunt. That time he wasn’t so sure, but at this moment he had to make a decision.
He went back to being composed, having already processed what he had confirmed. Also, one of the biggest stones in his heart had been lifted, and he could finally take a deep breath.
"I want you to cooperate on my team," he stated calmly, with a tone that bore no refusal. "We’ll start by eliminating the spies on the nobles, these forces are crucial and will be our biggest hindrance in the war."
Spade had already sealed that the war was really happening without batting an eyelid. While anyone more or less expected a war to erupt sometime soon, now that it came directly from Spade’s mouth, it had really become real.
"They can be used to create chaos in the capital, which will force the authorities to intervene and our forces to split up." Of course, the capital was the main priority, and it would also be the main battlefield. However, they couldn’t neglect the other territories in the empire just because of this.
He already expected that the tension and the brewing storm in the Empire would grow bigger in the following days and weeks. They had to respond accordingly.
"The Black Intel will cooperate with you as well; they also got information from Curt. I’ll tell the one in charge to meet you." He continued without holding back; his sense of urgency had reached its peak.
Even with his experience governing the Empire in the past years, what was waiting for him couldn’t be compared at all. However, as always, Spade was ready to fight until the end.
His eyes flickered dangerously, and his pheromones once again shrouded the room, almost suffocating the elder omega that was with him. A sinister chill crept up Ivo’s spine, and he couldn’t stand meeting that cold gaze.
"If he wants to burn my empire, let him try. I’ll be waiting for him," he darkly said, emphasizing his words.
The organization wanted to create chaos, but let Spade create a bigger one. One storm wasn’t enough... He would create a disaster, one that would bury all of them. There was no way to know if they would accompany each other to hell after.

"Are they done?" Arren asked while looking at the closed door where Spade and Mr.Ivo were talking; obviously, they weren’t done talking. He pouted as he noticed that Rave only gave him a side-eye, but the words from his eyes alone were so loud that he could hear them without Rave saying anything.
"I’m just curious about what they’re talking about." He leaned back; he was almost lying down as his two legs were also resting on top of the couch.
Rave was beside him, also occasionally looking at the door with an uneasy expression on his face. Arren could understand why, after all, this was more like an interrogation. Although, in a simpler setting.
He then looked at Arren, arching his brow. "Then why didn’t you persist on listening? I’m sure if you convinced His Majesty enough, he would agree eventually."
It might be true. Spade having a soft spot for Arren wasn’t a secret for Rave and the others that were always with them. The alpha would definitely concede once Arren urged him.
Arren fell silent. He knew that Rave was right. He was truly curious about what they would be talking about. For sure, Mr. Ivo would reveal who was the leader of the organization, and there might be memories that would flash in his mind once he found out who was the leader.
Yet, he couldn’t find himself urging Spade that he wanted to listen, considering the desperation in his eyes, which were almost begging for Arren to agree with him.
Pursing his lips, he answered honestly. "He doesn’t want me to listen."
Rave seemed also surprised by what he said, that he didn’t know how to respond for a while. The white-haired omega was also perceptive of his surroundings, but he didn’t notice it as Spade’s presence was like a deterrent to those around him, except for Arren.
"It’s like, he doesn’t want me to hear something," Arren added, his suspicion that something really was wrong growing bigger each day. He had yet to confirm it fully because, aside from the island, where Spade seemed normal on the surface, he seemed to always walk on thin ice with him.
And after that, they came home, then became apart immediately, so he didn’t have the time to confirm his thoughts.
This time, Rave also fell silent.
"Papa is also hiding something from me." Rave also revealed, his tone a bit bitter. When it came to his parents, he was always vulnerable when it came to his feelings. "He didn’t tell me who the leader is, either."
Now looking at each other, the two sighed at the same time. Both knew that there was a reason for it, but it was still not a good taste in the mouth. As a result, Arren was even more curious to find out.
Shaking his head, Arren was forced to shift their topic. He didn’t know that their topic was gloomy. The last time they saw each other since the day that he left the father and son to talk.
"It’s a bit late, but congratulations on meeting Mr.Ivo again," he smiled, adding, "I didn’t know you two are related, but I kind of see you in him. You resembled him so much." Arren didn’t know if this could ease their atmosphere or not. He couldn’t think of anything to talk about, though.
Waiting and looking at that door made him crazy, so he wanted to divert his attention.
Rave’s eyes slightly widened at this; he didn’t expect this. Still, as he recovered, his features softened even more, but there was a sad emotion that flashed in those eyes.
He stared at Arren, giving him a small smile. "Thank you. I... finally achieved one of my goals."
Arren opened his mouth to respond, but he chose to swallow them. He wasn’t that insensitive, it was obvious that there was still someone missing to complete Rave’s goal.
He didn’t want to say something else again that might make Rave even more depressed than he looked now. After all, had no clue if... Rave’s father was still alive.
And as they were having a stalemate in their conversation, the door that almost tore from their gazes, opened, indicating that the meeting was over.
