The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra
Chapter 163: I’m Scared

Chapter 163: I’m Scared

Some things were not said but were evident in his eyes. Spade would not let off anyone who was coveting his omega. Especially for this same someone who wanted to kill him and bring chaos to his empire.

Reconciliation and mercy were out of the question at this point. With Arren still in his arms, he glanced in front of him. The alpha was now overwhelmed by the side effects of the serum. For a few days, he would be pretty much useless.

It was a convenient drug, but it contained a lot of risks, so as much as possible, they didn’t want to use it on a person. However, everyone in the organization was injected with these serums; otherwise, they wouldn’t talk and instead starve themselves to death.

The veins almost surfaced in his hand; he had this urge to reach out for Curt and make him spit out everything he knew until he was dead. However, Arren’s presence still made his mind level-headed, at least. Although everything was already accumulating inside of him, even he was surprised that he was capable of feeling this kind of madness.

It was like his every being screamed and craved the taste of the leader’s blood; thinking of him, he was seeing red. He would not be able to rest easy until he finally saw this lunatic dead by his own hands.

All of that could wait, he still needed to be composed and calm Arren in his arms, who was obviously trembling. Seeing him like this, it was getting hard for Spade to suppress the seething rage that was in his heart.

"Let’s go back first, hmm?" He soothingly said that, fortunately, Arren was still not consumed by his fear, and he was still conscious as he nodded his head to answer Spade.

Arren was really shaken by what he found out—that there was some kind of overlapping words that were in his ears, and yet he couldn’t understand them clearly, but he knew it was something that could uncover the deeper core memories he had. He didn’t know why, but he had that feeling.

He was still trembling, but he still had a clear mind. He was taken aback that the leader of this organization was really coveting him for even more vile intentions. However, smelling the scent and pheromones of his alpha, he was calming down.

He closed his eyes and leaned all his weight on the alpha, trusting Spade with all his heart. He was confident... He would protect him.

After the interrogation passed, Curt would be incapable of thinking straight for a few days, but after that, they would start to make him confess to all the agents and noble spies that he knew, even with the plans that they had for the capital.

For now, Spade and Arren came back to their villa. Now, they returned with a heavy heart, and even Arren, who still couldn’t be serious at times and would do anything to lighten the mood, was still silent.

It was hard to be playful at times when he knew that you were in danger and that any minute this danger would come and haunt you.

He was in this kind of situation, which added to the fact that his head and ears were ringing at some point. He knew that this was an indication of another dream coming up. It happened a few times, so Arren knew something was about to happen to him.

"Spade," he called as they were climbing the stairs, with the alpha supporting him. His tone and voice were so weak that they were barely audible, even for Spade beside him.

The alpha looked at him. "What is it?" he gently asked.

Arren gripped Spade’s hands that were holding his hand and supporting him; he stopped and stared directly at the alpha. He didn’t want to startle him if he really was about to dream something again. He also had a hunch that what he was about to dream about was something extremely horrifying.

In case he couldn’t wake up on his own and became immersed in his dream, he wanted the alpha to do what he did before. Arren hugged Spade and spoke.

"Spade, I think I’m about to be unconscious again, and this time I’ll have a long dream... a long vivid dream." He informed him, somehow sensing how Spade tensed up from what he said but Arren still continued, he was about to be pulled up by the dreamland again.

His head throbbed painfully; he couldn’t even hear clearly at this point. Arren was becoming dizzy once more, as though his soul was being pulled from his body. The illusion of reality and dreams overlapping each other fell on him again.

"This isn’t the first time it happened. So, I just want to tell you so you won’t be caught off guard. Spade, like what happened last time, can you wake me up again if I’m becoming too immersed in my dream?" He asked, so soft and weak, it was as though it consumed most of his energy. In fact, it was. Arren was only fighting himself to stay awake.

He couldn’t hear what Spade said, but as the alpha stroked his back comfortingly, Arren knew that he agreed, he had no doubts about this, even if he couldn’t hear his voice.

Arren’s lips trembled as he grunted in pain from how his head throbbed intensely. He tried to clutch Spade’s clothes, but he was too weak for that. He hated that all of this was happening; he didn’t want to be the one in the center of the storm.

If he was happy and content with his life, it was like fate had this kind of favoritism to torment him in a lot of situations he hadn’t anticipated. Was he really that undeserving of a more peaceful life that he could live it fully?

He took a deep breath, his breath becoming slow. The more he persisted, the more his head tortured him. He didn’t want to fight it any longer, because even if he could with his strong will, Spade was also going to be in pain to see him like this.

"Spade..." he uttered, calling for his alpha desperately. Tears began to pool in his eyes. "Spade... I’m scared." Arren had already sobbed uncontrollably, making his head throb more intensely than ever. "I’m scared," he repeated over and over again, as though pleading for his alpha to save him and stop everything from happening.

He wasn’t in his right mind, but his emotions began to be unreserved and revealed it all. He was so damn terrified of what he was about to dream.

And yet there was no escaping; as he muttered his somewhat pleading words, Arren was consumed by the abyss once more. He quickly collapsed in the alpha’s arms.

Spade’s eyes widened as his hands trembled... holding his omega carefully, afraid to even hurt him with his hold.

"Arren..." he called absentmindedly, his pupils shaking as the corner of his eyes heated up. Yet after a long time, his eyes only reddened without tears. It was only slowly... and gradually consuming him.
