The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra
Chapter 141: Presence

Chapter 141: Presence

Levin was a hidden danger to him. Rave always told himself that. However, due to some circumstances, he couldn’t really avoid him even if he wanted to.

Compared to the danger that was sprouting in his heart as he continued being with the alpha, he showed even more importance to the information about the organization that Levin had access to.

And after being part of the official organization, it was inevitable that they would be together. Even more so as they both were tasked to be together by the emperor under the guise of looking after him, both for security and to test him.

"Finding Young Master Arren isn’t an easy task," Levin had already caught up with him and started talking with him.

Rave wanted to ignore him, but he just couldn’t be rude to him. He was so used to his identity as a royal attendant that etiquette had influenced him too much.

"It’s not going to be easy." Of course, he knew that. Aside from the fact that the island was big, finding someone who also had the intention of hiding himself made it even harder.

He knew that the omega might have used means to hide, as he would be easy to recognize. His appearance alone wasn’t easy to forget and could give a significant impression to others.

"And I’m sure he is fine, you don’t need to worry too much." The alpha continued and spoke nonchalantly. At this, Rave couldn’t help but look at Levin, who seemed not too concerned about finding Arren.

He was confused by this. Out of all of them, as the monarch’s right-hand man, Levin should be the one that was most pressed on finding Arren. And yet, he was like this, and he seemed to be in no hurry either.

"How could you say that?" He stopped and faced Levin, who was stretching his arms; the smile still remained on his lips. It was obvious that he was extremely carefree with this task.

Levin stared at him as well after he spoke, and he shrugged.

"Do you think someone like Young Master Arren will be in a miserable situation as we speak?" He laughed as he saw some understanding on Rave’s face as he continued, "Maybe he was already on his way to the villa before we knew it."

Levin didn’t know Arren well enough, but he had some understanding of this future empress of theirs. He was someone who would do something to turn the situation around with his ideas. He was also someone who wouldn’t be ashamed to thicken his face to find the solution to the problem at hand.

Of course, nothing was absolute. However, Arren was smarter than he was giving credit for. If a situation really became desperate, he could use his face to attract the attention of those searching for him. This was the emperor’s turf as well, so it would be easier to do so.

And seeing that the night had already passed and there was still no news about him, his condition was still fine. This wasn’t because Levin didn’t care, but because he was aware the emperor’s emotions had only gone awry at this point and was anxious to see Arren. Spade had deployed all of them, and as he was suppressing his alpha instincts at the moment, it was even more dangerous to be in his vicinity.

Rave wanted to refute it, but he also found that it was reasonable. Arren wasn’t someone who would be afraid of being lost, and he would definitely think of a way to spend the night before returning to the villa in the morning.

Still, he squinted his eyes and looked at Levin, the chief royal guard, who seemed like he was sightseeing rather than doing his job.

"Are you always like this?" he asked, and while his tone was soft, there was still a hint of accusation in it.

Levin stopped stretching his hand and met his eyes, asking, "What do you mean?"

"His Majesty ordered us to find Arren, even if he really is on the way to the villa, it’s our task to escort him." Rave had calmed down, but still, what he was saying was completely reasonable.

As a chief royal guard, Levin was really different today. Or that he was really unconcerned about this task?

Hearing him, the smile on the alpha’s lips faded slightly. yet he didn’t frown or break their eye contact.

"Do I really look like I’m slacking off?" He raised a brow, and Rave didn’t say anything, which was a silent agreement. Levin parted his mouth and blinked before he chuckled. "Perhaps I am." shrugging his shoulder, he sat at a big stone beside him.

Rave’s expression slightly changed because of this answer, and he couldn’t stop it from showing the confusion on his face. Levin saw it, laughing once more. He thought this side of the omega was cute as well.

"I’m just joking," Levin spoke, waving his hand casually, this made Rave wonder if he was really joking. ’I’m just teasing you.’ Levin wanted to add, but he knew he would ruin the atmosphere if he made this remark.

In fact, Levin didn’t sleep all night and was coordinating with everyone last night. He only told Rave to rest, as he was worried for him; afterward, he left the hotel and met up with the others. He just returned earlier and was about to nap when he heard Rave’s door open and got up.

It was also the reason why he said that Arren was fine since when they looked for someone who might be sleeping on the beach or wandering late at night, they didn’t see him, which led them to the conclusion that the Omega had a place he stayed in for the night.

He was already so sleepy, which might be the reason it gave him the impression he was casual and slacking off with his mission.

"Someone is already deployed around the area of the forest to receive Young Master Arren." He paused as he couldn’t help but yawn as he smiled sheepishly after seeing the omega wasn’t convinced by his state.

He ignored the accusing gaze and continued, wiping the corners of his eyes. "And His Majesty is about to set out this morning," he informed, and while he still had a casual expression because of the drowsiness he was feeling, his tone was still respectful and firm as he spoke about Spade.

Rave’s brow gracefully moved, and he nodded. He was still suspicious of this man, but between them, Levin’s loyalty to Spade couldn’t be questioned by anyone but the monarch himself.

Even if that were the case, Rave would still want to continue searching for Arren just for assurance. It was even better if they encountered him on the road.

"Where are you going?" Levin asked as Rave started walking away from him.

"Finding Arren."

"Hah. So stubborn like always." Levin shook his head, but an endearing smile flashed across his lips as he caught up with the omega and stood in front of Rave.

Rave frowned and asked, "Why are you stopping me?"

"I get it, we’ll find him. But before that," Levin looked at his hand as though he were hesitating with something before he lifted his gaze again, "Let’s have some breakfast first. I’m starving."

Rave opened his mouth to refuse since he wasn’t really hungry yet, but as usual, Levin didn’t listen and actually grabbed his hand and dragged him.

He was a bit surprised about this, and he couldn’t react for a moment, he stared at their hands that were holding hands and became in a daze.

As he said, Levin was dangerous and should be avoided. His presence was... distracting.
