Chapter 98: Idiot furball
Chapter 98: Chapter 98: Idiot furball
System Space
Inside the glowing white lit control chamber, Fluff sat nervously on his floating chair, paws frantically tapping away on a glowing console. Beads of sweat rolled down his furry face as lines of code scrolled past faster than he could process.
Beside him, Meow sat on her own chair, arms crossed and cheeks puffed in pure feline fury.
"Fluff," she growled, her voice sharp, "what did you just do?"
Fluff didn’t answer, his ears twitching as he avoided her gaze.
"Dont ignore me"
"You know what I’m talking about, right?" Meow leaned closer, eyes narrowing.
Fluff shrank slightly into his chair, still typing.
"You know I can’t cover for you this time. How could you assign that skill to the host so casually?"
Fluff finally raised his eyes and peeked at her expression. Seeing her fiery glare, he quickly looked down and mumbled,
"I-I didn’t mean to! I swear, I selected the High-tier-Berserker skill! Not... Crimson Onslaught..."
Meow’s eyes widened. Then she shot up into the air, her red paw glowing with a faint blue light as she zoomed over and whacked Fluff on the head.
"Idiot furball!"
"Berserker is a high-tier combat skill. How in all realms did you accidentally open the Advance-Level Restricted Skills and assign Crimson Onslaught?!"
Fluff shrunk holding his head, eyes watery.
"I-It glitched! The interface lagged and then... and then it automaticaly assign!"
Meow facepawed, floating back to her seat with a dramatic sigh.
"You better pray boss don’t find out, which is difficult to hide this time, you’re going to get your position more lower for a thousand years."
Fluff shivered violently and mumble.
"I swear I didn’t assign it!"
Fluff’s voice cracked as he frantically typed at his console. The glowing screen in front of him suddenly glitched, distorting for a moment before displaying a bright red message:
{Code: 46578 – Boss is calling you}
Fluff froze.
He stared at the message as if it might vanish if he blinked hard enough. Instead, a single bead of sweat slid down his cheek.
Meow turned her head slowly, her expression shifting from fury to... pity.
"...You’re doomed."

Lucien Mansion – Bedroom
In a softly lit bedroom, mana gently spiraled through the air around a cross-legged woman. Blue light danced along her skin before slowly fading into her body, like stardust dissolving into her veins.
Beside her, a red-haired woman lay peacefully asleep.
As the last trace of mana absorbed, Zara opened her eyes. A wide smile spread across her face.
"Hehe... finally. My core reached high-level. Now I can learn advanced spells easily!"
Just then, the bedroom door opened. A silver-haired beauty stepped in—Lilith—blinking in confusion at the sound of giggling.
She walked over and sat beside Zara, tilting her head.
"Wife... why are you giggling to yourself?"
As she asked, she casually undid the top button of her blouse, exposing her pale neck without a second thought.
Zara’s eyes sparkled as she immediately embraced her.
"Dear, I’m just so happy. My magic power’s leveled up. Now I don’t have to rely on just blood or aura in battle anymore!"
Lilith’s eyes widened in delight before she grinned.
"Wow, that’s amazing! I’m proud of you, hehe."
Zara smiled, then her gaze dropped to the exposed skin of Lilith’s neck. A playful smirk tugged at her lips.
She leaned in, her breath brushing Lilith’s ear.
"Oh dear... are you offering me your blood?"She nibbled her earlobe gently.
Lilith’s breath hitched. Her cheeks flushed faintly as she nodded, slowly resting her head on Zara’s shoulder.
"...My blood is all for you," she whispered darkly.
Zara blinked, slightly surprised by Lilith’s soft and possessive whisper.
Lilith, noticing her pause, looked up with gentle curiosity.
"What are you thinking?"
Zara quickly shook her head, smiling.
"Nothing... I was just thinking how beautiful my wife is."
Lilith giggled softly, her cheeks tinged with pink as she rested her head against Zara once more.
Zara leaned down, eyes glowing faintly as her fangs extended. Slowly, delicately, she bit into Lilith’s neck—just enough to pierce the skin.
A warm, sweet taste filled her mouth.
Zara closed her eyes, savoring it.
Lilith’s toes curled, Fist clenched a quiet moan escaping her lips as waves of pleasure shivered down her spine.
When Zara had taken just enough, she licked the wound gently. It healed instantly, leaving no trace.
With great care, she lifted Lilith—who was still dazed in bliss—and settled her on her lap. One arm wrapped protectively around her waist, the other gently brushing her hair back.
Zara leaned her forehead against Lilith’s, her voice low and full of affection.
"I love you my wife"
Suddenly, a voice cut through the tender atmosphere.
"Ahem. Did I come at a bad time?"
Zara blinked and quickly looked toward the door.
Standing there was a woman who looked strikingly similar to Lilith—elegant, composed, with an amused glint in her eyes.
Zara’s lips twitched as she scrambled to sit up straighter.
"A-Ah... Seris... When did you come, D-Did you see... everything?"
Seris tilted her head with an innocent smile.
"Hmm? What are you talking about, daughter-in-law?"
Then her voice turned mock-stern."And you’d better start calling me Mother from now on. Or I’ll beat you."
Zara’s mouth dropped open slightly... then shut again with a click.
’M-Mother? I’ve never called anyone that except... my actual mom...’
"...Okay, Seris."
Seris’s smile widened, but her eyes narrowed ever so slightly.
"Hmmm?"
Zara gulped.
"Y-Yes, M-Mother..."
Seris nodded in satisfaction, folding her arms.
Just then, Lilith began to stir again, still slightly dazed from earlier. She leaned back into Zara’s chest, then raised her hand to gently hold her chin, her expression mischievous.
Zara’s eyes darted toward her, wide and pleading.
Don’t do it. Don’t—
Lilith narrowed her eyes, reading the frantic look on her face."What?" she asked suspiciously.
Then, without warning, she leaned in and sealed Zara’s lips with a sudden kiss. Her tongue playfully flicked at Zara’s fang, earning a muffled sound of surprise, her hand resting on her breasts.
Zara’s cheeks turned crimson.
Seris just stood there, watching the scene unfold with a sip of her tea—who knew where she even got it.
" Awww my daughter is so energetic...just like me," she muttered with a smirk.
Lilith’s eyes flew wide open. She immediately jumped off Zara’s lap and stood up straight, flustered.
"M-Mother?! What are you doing here?"
Seris casually placed a hand over her lips, her smile teasing.
"Oh, don’t mind me. Go on... continue what you were doing~"
Lilith’s face turned crimson as she quickly rushed over and clamped a hand over her mother’s mouth.
"M-Mom! Don’t say weird things in front of Zara!" she hissed.
Seris gently pulled Lilith’s hand away, still grinning.
"Relax, daughter. I didn’t say anything perverted. Yet."
Lilith groaned and sighed in exasperation.
"Seriously, why are you here, Mom?"
Seris flicked her fingers, a faint shimmer of energy flowing around her.
"I’m here to with a message—to my daughters and zara."She turned toward Zara with a more composed tone."It’s time to return to the Vampire Realm, Daughter-in-law."
Zara blinked, confused.
"Wait... already? But we haven’t even explored the other cities yet."
Seris gave her a knowing look.
"Zara, you’re a Marquis now. Your have duties now. You have to start forming your knight legion and take charge of the border. Damphirs have been slipping through, crossing into our territory. You’re the one responsible for that region now."
Lilith folded her arms and huffed, turning her head away.
"Mother, we just got here. Every day in this realm is something new—we haven’t even tried human amusement parks yet!"
Seris chuckled warmly at her daughter’s sulking.
"You’ll have time to play after two or three months of work. Finish your duty first, and then come back to explore as much as you want."
Zara sighed and gently took Lilith’s hand, giving it a squeeze.
"Let’s go together. We’ll handle this... then come back and do all the things we planned."
Lilith pouted but nodded slowly.
"Fine... but when we come back, I want to try cotton candy. And water slides."
Seris raised an eyebrow with a smirk.
"Oh? I want to try those too. Maybe I’ll tag along next time."
Both Lilith and Zara flinched slightly.
"N-No thanks," they said in unison.
Seris smirked as she turned on her heel and walked out of the room, her footsteps light and teasing even as the door closed behind her.
Zara let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding. She turned to her side—and her expression instantly softened.
There, curled up peacefully, was Grace.
Zara smiled and gently brushed a few strands of hair from her wife’s face. Leaning in, she placed a light kiss on her forehead, then gave her shoulder a soft shake.
"Grace... wake up, love."
Grace groaned softly, her voice still heavy with sleep as she blinked her eyes open. A wide yawn escaped her lips.
"Awww... what happened, wife?" she murmured, rubbing her eyes and nestling closer against Zara.
Zara chuckled lightly and hugged her.
"We’ve got news. We’re heading back to the Vampire Realm."
Grace blinked again, this time more alert.
"Already? But we just got here..."
Zara nodded, stroking her hair.
"I know. I wanted more time too. But I’m a Marquis now, remember, so I have to work?"
Grace pouted sleepily and buried her face in Zara’s neck.
