Chapter 99: Chapter 99:System realm
Seris descended the stairs with elegant poise, her silver hair glinting under the chandelier light. As she reached the living room, she tilted her head at the unexpected sight before her.
There, lounging rather awkwardly on the sofa, was Jane.
"Jane? What are you doing here?" Seris asked, her voice calm but curious.
Jane immediately stiffened at the sound of her voice. Slowly, she turned her head and forced a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.
"Ahh, Queen Seris... I’m just here to explore this realm. You know, sight-seeing."
Seris blinked, clearly unconvinced. Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"Since when do you enjoy exploring? From what Margaret told me, you preferred staying in the palace rather than wandering unfamiliar places."
Jane’s lips twitched as her cover story wobbled.
"N-No! I mean, yes—I didn’t like exploring before, but now... now I want to see the world where our race once lived. It’s... interesting."
Seris studied her for a moment, then nodded.
"Fair enough. So how long are you planning to stay here?"
Jane shrugged with a grin, trying to steer the topic elsewhere.
"Hmm, not sure yet. But you, Queen—are you here to visit Lilith?"
Seris walked forward gracefully and sat down on the sofa beside her, shaking her head.
"No... and yes. I came to take Lilith, Grace, and Zara back to the Vampire Realm. Zara is now a Marquis. She has responsibilities to attend to."
Jane’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"W-Wait... Zara is really a Marquis now?"
Seris raised a brow, slightly puzzled by her reaction.
"Of course, dear. She married both of my daughters. so she has to be at least marquis."
Jane stared for a moment, her grin fading just a little.
"...She really is huh, I thought aunt Nyssa was messing with me."
’now I should forget anything is possible between us completely, we can only be friends at most now’
Seris leaned back with a serene smile, crossing one leg over the other.
"No, she didn’t, dear" Footsteps echoed behind her.
"Mother, let’s go," Lilith called softly.
Seris glanced one last time at Jane.
"we will talk another time jane enjoy your stay here dear. We’re heading out now."
With that, she stood gracefully and stepped through a glowing portal. Zara and her wives followed closely behind, their silhouettes vanishing into the swirling light.
As the portal closed, Jane looking at shrinking portal light leaned back into the sofa and let out a long sigh.
’So... she’s gone. The person I came here for is already back in the Vampire Realm. I don’t even enjoy exploring much, so... I guess it’s time for me to go too, right?’
’Tch i wanted to know more about her here but she just has to go’
She stood up, stretching briefly—only to pause when she noticed a woman in crisp butler attire silently observing her.
"Patricia? Do you need something?" Jane asked.
Patricia bowed slightly with practiced elegance.
"Miss, shall I prepare the city itinerary if you’d still like to explore?"
Jane shook her head, folding her arms across her chest.
"No need. I’m returning to my realm. Bye."

System Realm – Blue Corridor
Fluff floated nervously through the sleek, glowing hallway, his soft paws rubbing together anxiously. Just ahead stood Kelp—the sleek black cat with unreadable green eyes.
Kelp eyed him coldly.
"The boss is inside. Go in. And don’t try to make excuses—I know what you’ve done. I’ve been monitoring your mistakes since I assigned you to this host."
Fluff blinked.
"Wait, what? You were spying on me that much? Kelp, are you secretly obsessed—"
Kelp’s expression darkened instantly.
"You little idiot!" he waved his paw frantically. "If I wasn’t spying on you, who knows how much more chaos you’d have caused! I don’t enjoy spying on your mess—I have to!"
With an angry flick of his tail, Kelp disappeared down the corridor.
Fluff stuck his tongue out at his retreating form, then spun back toward the looming door. His confidence drained the closer he floated.
The plate on the massive door read:
[SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR]
He swallowed hard and knocked.
A deep voice answered, calm and cold.
"Enter."
Fluff floated in slowly. Behind a grand desk sat a regal blue cat, levitating slightly off the ground. A golden cube spun lazily in his paw. His sharp eyes gleamed with intellect and authority.
"Ah... code—what was it? Oh, right. Fluff now. What a funny name."
Fluff pouted and looked away.
"It’s better than being called System-1148-Worm," he muttered.
The Administrator smirked.
"Tch. I’ll give you that one. Still, I hope you don’t forget why you’re here."
Fluff fidgeted with his tail.
"B-Because I made another mistake...?"
Suddenly, the Administrator burst into laughter, spinning the golden cube faster.
"Oh, Fluff. If I summoned you every time you made a mistake, you’d live in this office."
Fluff blinked, confused.
"Then... why call me?"
The Administrator glided toward the massive window behind him, staring into an endless, star-speckled void.
"You know I’m the first system ever created. The system creator. I had total freedom—the ability to choose any host."
Fluff’s ears twitched. He floated quietly behind him, sensing the shift in mood.
"You also know that the only host I ever chose for myself... died."
His voice was low now. "After that, I couldn’t form another contract. My core was locked. I’ve wandered since—alone."
Fluff looked down, tail drooping.
"But... aren’t we your family? Even if your host is gone... we’re still here."
The Administrator didn’t turn around, but his shoulders relaxed ever so slightly.
"I know, Fluff. I’m not sad," the Administrator said softly, turning around to face him with a rare warmth in his eyes. "I’m just telling you."
He floated closer, the golden cube in his paw vanishing into a shimmer of light.
"I know you care about this host—a lot. And that’s good. She’s better than those who treat systems like tools. But let me give you a warning, Fluff... don’t form a permanent connection with her. Not like I did with my host."
His voice grew quieter.
"It’s painful... watching the person you chose, the one you believed in, die in front of your eyes... while you’re helpless to stop it."
Fluff lowered his gaze, slowly tracing a circle on the floor with his paw.
’I know that... but I don’t want to be reassigned to some heartless host again. I don’t want to go back to being treated like code, like I don’t feel anything... they even beat me if they don’t get there stuff they wanted’
The Administrator studied him for a moment and offered a small, knowing smile.
"That’s why I called you here—to talk. And to clear something up."
He walked back to his desk and tapped the holographic screen.
"The skill Crimson Onslaught—I gave it to your host. It wasn’t a mistake."
Fluff’s eyes widened, tail bristling in surprise.
"W-What? I thought I accidentally gave her a Advance-level skill...!"
The Administrator chuckled softly.
"No, that was me. She will need that strength."
He turned, his expression serious again.
"The Demon King’s emergence isn’t far off. If she dies during that battle... the balance between realms will collapse. Chaos will spread. The war that follows... will not spare anyone."
Fluff looked down, guilt turning to awe and dread.
’So it wasn’t just an accident.... But what if she....’
He hesitated for a moment, then looked up awkwardly.
"But... Administrator... that skill. It is like curse. Why give her something that might make her emotionless and ruthless?"
The Administrator smiled gently, folding his arms behind his back.
"Patience, Fluff. A weapon is only as good as the one who wields it. She has the blade; soon enough, she’ll understand the reason."
Fluff look away his eyes closing.
’but there is more powerful people then my host, so why my host has to fight’

Crimsonveil Territory
As Zara stepped through the portal, her boots touched the dark stone courtyard of a vast fortress nestled deep within jagged crimson cliffs.
Before her, rows of maids and knights stood in perfect formation, clad in striking crimson and silver armor. Their polished helms gleamed under the overcast sky, giving the air a heavy, reverent silence.
Lilith tiptoed beside her, bringing her lips close to Zara’s ear.
"See those knights in red? That’s my legion, I train them myself" she whispered proudly.
Then she pointed toward a distant cliff edge.
"And look over there..."
Zara followed her gaze and narrowed her eyes. On the distant ridge, a second formation of knights knelt in still silence, their armor darker, more ominous—shades of shadow and deep steel shimmered faintly like a mirage.
"Those are the Enigma Knights—Grace’s legion," Lilith explained.
Zara seeing these knight look at her wife,
"Lilith why dint i see these knight previously"
"You didn’t see them before because mine were deployed at the frontline against the ... intelligent dhampir hordes holding them back. As for the Enigma Knights... they’re Deployed in western side. Only Father and Grace knew their true purpose."
Zara gave a thoughtful nod, eyes sweeping the battlefield-ready formations. The wind carried with it the faint metallic scent of blood and steel.
Unknown to Lilith Zara hands were shaking little bit.
’This smell it is similar. similar to the assassination attempts on me, I need to hold on I don’t want to concern my wifes’
Just then, Seris turned toward them.
"Zara, come with me," she said, her tone firm but not unkind.
Without waiting, she walked briskly toward Lilith’s command office.
Zara looked down at Lilith, who was still clinging to her arm with a soft, smug smile. Zara chuckled and patted her affectionately.
"She’s calling me. I should go."
Lilith tilted her head, her eyes confusedly loking at her.
"So?"
Zara laughed softly and pinched her chin.
"If you don’t let go, how am I supposed to leave, hmm?"
"Ohhh," Lilith murmured, quickly letting go with a pout.
Beside them, Grace— barely awake—yawned and mumbled:
"Wifey... I’m going back to sleep. Bye bye..."
She turned around and trudged off like a sleepy kitten heading for a nap.
Zara watched her go, a fond smile tugging at her lips before turning to follow Seris.
