Chapter 95: Chapter 95: underground base
"So, what are you doing here?"
Zara asked, arms crossed as she sat on the sofa, eyeing the girl in front of her.
"What? I can be anywhere I want."
The girl shrugged nonchalantly.
Zara’s lips twitched at her response.
"I mean, what is the werewolf princess doing in this realm?"
Jane mirrored her stance, crossing her arms as well.
"I... I just wanted to explore the world where our race once lived. That’s why I asked Grandma."
Zara blinked, her mind flashing back to Frances’ face—how she had looked at her like a scientist examining a rare specimen.
"Did she really give you permission?"
Jane gave her a strange look.
"Why are you asking so many questions? My grandma loves me, okay? Of course she gave permission easily."
But then, Jane’s gaze dropped as a thought crossed her mind.
’Yeah... she loves me the most. She never lets me travel to any realm for more than a day. So... why did she agree so easily?’
Lilith who was sitting beside Zara, shot Jane a sharp glare.
"So why are you demanding to live here? I know your grandma owns plenty of properties in this realm—go live there, puppy."
Jane growled at her making angry face.
"Grrr! Shut up, bloodsucker! I will live here—you can’t stop me!"
Lilith stood up, returning the glare.
"And why can’t I stop you, huh?"
Jane crossed her arms and let out a loud hmph.
"Because if you stop me, then forget I ever fight with you again."
Lilith’s eyes widened.
"That’s good for me! I don’t want to waste my time fighting with you anyway. Hmph!"
She turned her face away, arms crossed in a pout.
A smirk stretched across Jane’s lips. She turned, gave a playful wave, and started walking away.
"Alright then—remember your words!"
As the sound of footsteps leaving away echoed, Lilith blinked and hesitantly glanced back, watching Jane walk away. In a sudden rush, she blurted out:
"O-Okay! You can live here! I don’t care just don’t get in my way!"
Jane’s smug expression deepened—clearly proud of herself.
Zara who was watching their exchange from the side, her lips twitched seeing their interaction.
’Is... is my wife actually afraid of this kind of threat?’

California – Church Meeting Hall
In the center of the spacious meeting hall, a large table was surrounded by several people. At opposite corners sat Leslie and Ava, both wearing grim expressions.
The room was silent.
No one dared to speak, especially with Ava’s mood visibly dark—everyone knew her reputation for violence when irritated only Leslie was talking.
Leslie’s finger tapped a point on the map. "We lost five agents here," he said, his voice grim. "The civilian vessels they were trying to cleansed fled because of those slaves, but I guess vessels they’ve been taken. Turned into... slaves."
the room once again become silent as he finish talking,
Ava finally broke the silence, turning to Leslie as she placed her hand firmly on the table.
"Leslie, what have you found so far about those demon slaves?"
Leslie sighed, rubbing his temples in frustration.
"Ava, unfortunately, we still haven’t located their base or find much about them. We know the leader once lived in an old apartment complex, but it’s abandoned now—no one lives there anymore and we have check his entire apartment there is no picture of him or any document"
Ava’s frown deepened. Her hands clenched the table so tightly that the wood creaked under the pressure of her strength.
"You know, Leslie... at first, it was just two people killing our agents. Now from last two weeks there are more—and they’re getting better at it. I won’t let this Earth fall into demon hands."
Leslie closed his eyes, exhaling slowly.
"I know, Ava. I don’t want that either. But we need to find out where they’re coming from. They appear out of nowhere, kill our agents, and vanish without a trace. Until we find their base, we’re fighting blind."
Ava glared sharply at Leslie.
"If we can’t solve the main issue yet, then at least deal with Blair. Why is he still trying to make contact with aliens? They nearly discovered our location last week! If we hadn’t used almost all our divine power to block their devices, Earth would be caught in an intergalactic war by now."
Leslie clenched his fists, jaw tight as he responded.
"I know. I warned him back then, but he’s still at it... I’ll go personally this time and put an end to it."
Ava took a deep breath, trying to calm the fury burning inside her. Without a word, she reached into her pocket, pulled out a tissue, and began wiping the part of her hand that had touched the table—like she was trying to erase the moment entirely.
the other priests sitting there quietly trying to be invisible.

Underground Base – Unknown Location
Avery leaned against the cold concrete wall, with arms crossed, face unreadable.
Suddenly, Megan appeared beside him and start talking in cheerful tone.
"Hey! We took out five more of them today. And three new people have joined us."
Avery glanced at her with flat expression.
"Yeah. Good."
Megan’s chin jutted out in a pout as she started muttering under her breath
"Hah, can’t he just give a proper compliment? ’Yeah, good’—what is that? Hmph. What a boring man..."
Avery’s brow twitched as she kept rambling for three straight minutes.
"Shut up, Megan."
"Hahaha!"
Megan frowned at the sudden laughter and turned toward the voice source.
"Ray, you shut up!"
Hearing her, Ray immediately stopped laughing and zipped his lips.
Avery looked at Ray for a moment, then turned his gaze away, his thoughts darkening.
’Last time, those bastards almost caught us. Good thing we found this foolish millionaire and saved his life... otherwise, we’d still be running. i need to make more people join in quickly.’
he look down at his hand as multiple red threat were connecting invisible to other,
Megan glared at Ray as he quickly stopped laughing under her glare. With a sigh she looked away,
Ray seeing them not talking anymore said,
"im going to my family, boss if you need something call me"
Avery nodded without looking at him,
hearing family word megan close her eyes clenching her fists,
’I never thought I’d become someone who kills people...’
’If it wasn’t for my damn brother...’’The moment my hair changed, and my face shifted just a little—he took opportunity to get my property, he refuse to even recognize me. His own sister. The last family he had left.
’If it weren’t for that betrayal, I wouldn’t be here now...’
