The Dragon Prince's Bride
Chapter 186. Ring sellers.

Chapter 186: 186. Ring sellers.

It was a proposal, one she had never received properly. He was giving it to her now.

"Tell me Neriah, I want to hear you say it. I do not believe you hate me as much as when we had just married, but even if you do, I want to hear you say it. That you wish for the same thing."

Truly, she wanted everything he was offering. She knew that now. "Can you wait for my answer?" She asked and his lashes blinked with a little confusion. "I_ I want to give you my answer but I also have something to tell you." She said, "And I have some other things to confess." She said and a teardrop made its way down her face again. He didn’t let it reach her jaw before he wiped it.

"And you do not wish to tell it to me now?" He asked, gently pressing his thumbs upon both her eyes to squeeze out all the water that kept falling.

She shook her head as he wiped the last of her tears. "Should I anticipate a positive response?" He asked with a somewhat wary smile.

"If I answer that it would be the same as giving you a response to your confession." She pointed out and his smile broadened.

"You are too smart. You caught me." His fingers leisurely played with strands of her hair. "When should I be expecting the response?"

"Tomorrow." She said and his lashes blinked in confusion.

"Tomorrow?" He asked and she nodded. "If you can tell me tomorrow then you can tell me today too."

"Nay, I—" She paused. How was she to explain it to him. She had done so much wrong to him so if she was accepting his heart and also going to share the news of their child with him, she wanted it to be in a very beautiful manner. As a small compensation for all her bad deeds.

"I just want to do it tomorrow, Barak. Please wait till tomorrow." She begged.

He was never fully going to understand the woman he had married. She could tell him now. Something about the way she spoke to him, the way she looked at him and the way she touched him made him believe she wouldn’t reject his heart.

When she had confessed to liking him, he had a little doubt, but at this point he wasn’t sure anymore. She had to love him as much as he loved her. He just had this feeling in his heart that she had to want him the way he wanted her. She just had to love him too. That was why even though he knew confessing to her and loving her was stupid, he could not stop himself from doing it. Because he believed in what he was certain they shared.

So why was she postponing her response? Till the next day for that matter. She could just tell him now.

"I promise to give you my answer by then. But before that, I will make my confession, then if you still love me even after my confession, I will give you my response, then I will tell you the final thing I have to say." She smiled as she said the last words.

It made him wonder what was the final thing she had to say. What could it be to make her have such a warm smile upon her face? He could easily guess what her confession was going to be about. Probably about that damned lover of hers. He didn’t care about that as long as she was ready to let go and give the rest of her life to him and him alone.

But if she wanted to wait till tomorrow, he would wait. "What time tomorrow?"

Neriah thought to herself that she would have been done with every preparation she had to make by evening of the next day.

"Evening, I will give you my response by then."

"Fine then. Evening."

"Aye, but for now," She wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him, not for any reason in particular but just because she felt like doing so.

"For now?" He held her, wrapping her legs around his body as he lifted her from the table without any pressure.

"For now, what do you say we go on that tryst?" She lifted her head from his chest so she could look at him. He adjusted her body on his own so her head was in line with his own, her hands naturally slipped around his own as he did so.

"Say that again." He ordered.

"Let us go for a little tryst. Me and you." She said again and he instantly enveloped her mouth with his own, his hold on her body was tighter like he wished to crush her.

"Barak, wait." She tried to speak. But she could already feel something hot sliding into her. "Ah!" She screamed as he began to lift her up and down his member.

"Let_us_ go_ out." She said the words between moans and kisses. "All this while it’s either we are being invited somewhere or we are locked up inside doing it nonstop." She was complaining but at the same time she was not complaining. Because the times they spent inside was beyond sweet. Just like the moment they were sharing as she spoke.

"You said you would take me sightseeing." She said as she kissed his neck and accepted more of him into her core. "You promised me that." She said.

"Just one more." He said, "one more and we will go." He promised as he thrust into her again and again. "Just one more."

...

"Do you want me to carry you, my Spitfire?" He asked as her steps were a little slow. But then she threw him a wicked gaze.

"You said just one more!" She said, but only after the passersby turned and stared at her like she was a mad woman did she realize she had yelled the words out loud and her very evil husband was laughing.

"Aye, I did and no one knows how many one mores a person can have." He shrugged and she wished she had something in her hands so she would throw it at him.

"You are a mad man! Did you have to bend me over—" She paused when she realized people were murmuring around her and pointing. "Did you have to bend me over the damn table again and again?!" She whispered the words this time and he laughed.

"But you enjoyed it at that time." He muttered to himself but she heard and lords if they weren’t outside on the streets, she would have strangled him. She hated him so much because he was right again as always!

"I really can carry you." He offered again but her glare was enough to make him quit.

""Oh look who we have here."" An elven man suddenly appeared from nowhere and was smiling so brightly that it was almost blinding. "A newly wedded couple, I have just the right thing to strengthen your love."" The man said and out of nowhere, he brought out boxes without a minute’s delay, he opened them up and started pitching what he was selling.

"" These rings were crafted by the best ring maker in Alkratz the human kingdom. Have you been to Alkratz before? Do you know Alkratz? Well of course you might not. You both look like you do not travel that much."" The man was Avelian, Neriah could tell by his accent when speaking tragonian.... But he was very talkative.

"Well, they were made by the finest ring makers in Alkratz and then taken to Avelah, my kingdom,"" He said rather proudly. "where it was fortified with tracking magic. With this ring, you can find your partner wherever they may be in the whole world and—""

"" Ahh! My customers! You have arrived,"" a female voice sounded from somewhere and the next thing they knew, the elven ring seller was pushed to the side with his stuff and a huge, fat, brown tragonian lady was standing before them. ""Do not believe whatever that moron was telling you. These are the best you will ever find."" She said and again boxes appeared out of nowhere and inside the were rings just like the ones the elven man had been selling.

""They were crafted in Alkratz the human kingdom and then taken to—""

"" You obese creature!"" The Avelian merchant screamed, jumping in front of the woman who was trying to pitch her own rings. "" I found them first! Go and look for your own customers to rip off!"" He yelled.

""You useless buffoon! Did you just call me fat?!" She retorted.

""No! You blockhead, I called you obese. It is worse than fat!"" He hissed and the woman gasped. "" All you do is sit there, eating your hearts out and wait till I reel in a customer then you try to steal them!!""

""You are—""

Barak and Neriah looked at themselves and as if they spoke telepathically, they nodded at each other. They looked at the duo who had completely forgotten them and with another look at each other, Barak took her hand and tiptoed, then he ran out from the midst of the crazy ring sellers.

After a while, they stopped, taking in their breaths and laughing at the same time... Barak sighed calmly and looked at the woman who was his wife, he stretched his hand out to her and said, "" Shall we start this tryst properly?""

She looked at him for a second, then she smiled as her hand slipped into his own and he locked their fingers.

""Aye,""
