The Crown's Seduction
Chapter 254: Kidnapping

Chapter 254: Kidnapping

Today was the day that the Queen would visit the mining province of Sar, and from where Haman was looking at, things were already falling right where he wanted them. He had meticulously planned for the Queen’s abduction, and while it had been delayed since the Queen’s schedules were adjusted, he still managed to make things work.

It was also a good thing that it was finally happening now. He couldn’t wait to get a hold of his divine woman, and now was that great opportunity.

Once they arrived at Sar, Haman was quick to set things up. They only had one shot at this, and he refused to let things be left to chance. As expected, Mineah was invited to a masquerade party being held in her honor, something that they were already planning on sabotaging to their advantage.

Haman maliciously chuckled as excitement filled his entire being. Already, he was salivating at the chance of having her in his arms. He just wanted a taste of her and then return her back... Or maybe not and he could have her all to himself.

"Is everything ready?" Haman impatiently asked Nimue.

"As ready as they’ll ever be, Master," Nimue curtly bowed. "Our people are already in place, and all that’s left is to give out the signal on your call."

Haman nodded in approval. Despite everything, nothing still beats a simple snatch-and-grab job. Why complicate things when he could simply rig everything in his favor and have Her Majesty abducted by a group of untraceable thugs? There were no tricks to this. No magical spell would be used beyond the one thing that would cover for his men’s escape.

No, this was plain and simple. Surely, something as fail-proof as this wouldn’t encounter any problems.

"I’ll be the one to give it then," Haman scoffed as he took up his position above the roof of the conference hall where the masquerade ball was being held. It was only fortunate that the roof had glass panes in some places, allowing them to take a peek at the happenings below. "On my order, they’ll nab the Queen and bring her to the specified safe house."

"And I’ll be the one to manage the correspondence between you and the men," Nimue quickly added, stating his role in the plan just to make sure they had everything in place. "The cover spell will also be cast on your command."

"Just make sure that everything won’t be traced," Haman reminded him. "I don’t want things to end before they can even begin."

It wouldn’t be fair if he was caught before he even got a taste of Mineah’s exquisite body, after all. Preferably, he wouldn’t be caught, but he had a few things in place to try and prevent that anyway, what with them refusing to leave any witnesses alive.

"Master, it’s starting."

Haman perked up at that news as he quickly peered into the glass pane beneath him. Sure enough, the festivities were starting, and he kept his eyes peeled for the one woman who would make all of the planning he did worth it.

"Keep the men on standby," he instructed to Nimue. "They better not reveal themselves before I give out the signal."

"Of course, Master."

With his order given, Haman went back to scoping out the party. Minutes passed, and he was getting impatient when he finally found his target. Dressed in an elegant glitter-laden dress that he was sure came from Ursa based on how much it glinted.

Still, it only made Mineah look just as succulent as he remembered her. Why, he could already smell her scent wafting into his nose. Well, he didn’t, actually, but she was just so close that he could already practically taste the amazing flavor of victory.

"I found her," Haman denoted. "Tell the men to look out for a woman dressed in a glitter-laden dress. Surely with how much she’s shining, they won’t miss her."

"I’ll relay that to them now," Nimue responded as he contacted the men with his magic. "You haven’t given the order, right?"

"I’ll give it out shortly," he responded, his eyes still peeled at the events below. "Tell them to do it- Wait!"

Haman froze as he caught himself. To his dismay, four other women seemed to be wearing the same dress that Mineah wore. They all glittered beneath him, soaking in all the attention as they practically looked identical to how much they were shining against the lights.

"What is it, Master?"

"Change of plans. Have the men abduct every woman that’s wearing the dress that I just described," Haman ground out. "I just know that with the cover spell, those thugs won’t be able to tell Her Majesty from the rest."

"You do realize that this will complicate things, right?" Nimue reminded him.

"The cover spell will make it possible anyway," Haman concluded. "It already obscures any forms of communication or being able to see anyway. They might have guards, but they can’t be everywhere at once."

Sure, while he planned for a simple kidnapping scenario, the one spell that he was going to employ was anything but. He had commissioned the warlock to create a cover spell that was big enough to cover an entire building with a thick fog; one that would make even the most powerful of vampires hesitate before entering. It wouldn’t affect him and his allies too much, and while it also wouldn’t do much harm to his enemies, it was still the perfect tool that he needed for his plan to work.

"Cast the spell," Haman instructed. "Once the fog has fully settled, send the men in."

Nimue nodded before he got to work. With a wave of the warlock’s hands, a heavy fog settled around them and the building below. Being unaffected by the spell, Haman grinned as he saw the panic start to form below. The lights were smothered by the fog, and it wasn’t long until shrieks started sounding off from below. He couldn’t see as well as earlier, but he was sure that things were going exactly as planned.

"They got them," Nimue informed him, his power still keeping the fog in place.

"Excellent. Tell the men to go to the safe house," Haman instructed. "We’re leaving."

With a smirk on his face, Haman couldn’t help but laugh as he left for the safe house. Behind him, the conference hall was still in chaos, and there would be chaos there until well after he had already left.

He had done it. He finally had the Queen all to himself. There were witnesses, but they were all disposable anyway. Truly, nothing could go wrong now.
