The Crown's Seduction
Chapter 241: Vision

Chapter 241: Vision

It was only when her mother informed her that Tarah and Wizard Lurio would soon leave to see them that Mineah finally managed to convince Nikolai to go back to the palace. It was almost dark out when they arrived at the palace, and her husband immediately led them to the meeting room where Tarah and Wizard Lurio, together with her shadow maidens and Dahlia were waiting for them.

"Your Majesties," Tarah and Lurio greeted them with a curt nod.

The rest present in the room followed with their own greetings. It wasn’t needed, but it was a courtesy to do so anyway.

"Let’s begin then," Mineah snorted, suddenly recalling how his brother’s face would often look like whenever he told her to send Tarah and Lurio back as soon as possible. "Brother wouldn’t want you two out of Ebodia for too long. Dahlia?"

At Mineah’s instruction, Dahlia came forth, and she formally introduced her to Tarah who quickly got what she was supposed to do.

"Give me your hands."

As Tarah told Dahlia what to do, Mineah took her seat beside Nikolai as they watched from the sidelines.

"Just take a deep breath. You’ll feel dizzy and a bit of pain, but it won’t take long. Calm your mind as I navigate into your past," Tarah instructed with a reassuring smile.

"There’s no reassurance for a vision of your future to appear to me, but sometimes, it happens whenever I do this. As I’ll always say, my visions of your possible future don’t necessarily mean that it will happen exactly as I saw it. Sometimes, it could be just a warning and a form of guidance... I am a Seer, but I personally believe that someone’s destiny relies always upon the person’s choices they make in life..."

"I understand, Lady Tarah," Dahlia nodded. "Thank you so much in advance for trying to help me like this."

"Let’s start the reading then," Tarah nodded. "Please close your eyes and think of nothing else but the person you want to save."

Mineah held her breath from where she sat as she silently hoped and prayed that this session with Tarah would be productive.

[Abel informed me earlier that Dani also asked Tarah to help him see his past so he could find out about his true origins,] Nikolai suddenly spoke through their bond as the room fell into total silence. [Can that be arranged?]

[if it’s not too pressing,] Mineah answered. [If Tarah agrees, then there’s no problem with it.]

Back to the reading, Tarah suddenly moved, her head pointing up as her eyes turned white. She was seeing the future again, it would seem, and by the time she finished, wizard Lurio was quick to her side to help her. Fortunately, she didn’t need it as she managed to not lose consciousness.

"Are you alright?" Mineah asked.

"I’m fine," Tarah reassured her. "I only usually pass out whenever the vision I’m seeing is currently happening. What I just saw is something that is yet to happen."

"Did you find out the location where he once kept me safe?" Dahlia curiously asked. She wanted to know exactly which forest Zoran hid her. It was a memorable place for her, and she wanted to find out where it was. She knew for a fact that Zoran wouldn’t tell her that.

"I found it, but it’s hidden and protected by a strong spell," Tarah replied. "It’s inside the Dark Forest."

"The one located at the east side of the Kingdom of Larte?" Dani interrupted.

Tarah nodded, and Mineah frowned at that information. That kingdom was one of the many fallen kingdoms that Devon once conquered.

"He no longer goes there after he dropped you off here," Tarah told Dahlia. "He’s staying in Helion now..."

"What did you see in your future vision then?" Mineah curiously asked. "Is it about Dahlia?"

Tarah shook her head. "It’s about the warlock Zoran," she answered. "He’ll be in great danger. I saw him dying in my vision..." She then turned to Dahlia and added, "By saving you."

As if struck by that information, Dahlia’s knees wobbled from underneath her, and Mineah was quick to catch her just before she fell to the ground. Guiding Dahlia to a seat, Mineah signaled for Krisha, who promptly nodded and quickly got a glass of water for their friend.

"He’ll die by saving me?! He’s been ignoring his own life from the start just to save me all over again. This is so un-unfair," Dahlia muttered in disbelief, her voice croaking and trembling as tears ran down her cheeks. "I... I c-can’t let h-him d-do this a-again,"

Mineah was still holding Dahlia as she soothed her tears. She was feeling her pain, and she couldn’t help but frown as she turned to Tarah. "Tell us, when will that happen?" she weakly asked. "If only so that we can prevent it from happening."

"I’m not sure, Your Majesty. He’s dying, but His Majesty King Nikolai is trying to save him in my vision," Tarah stated. "It didn’t seem to work, then Her Majesty, you, Queen Mineah wounded yourself as you interjected and it stopped right then and there. I’m... not able to see if the warlock was saved or not."

"How did I save him?" Nikolai broke his silence. "And why would Mine wound herself?"

Mineah gulped at Nikolai’s deep voice. He was obviously upset, especially at the part with her wounding herself.

"You were turning him and giving him your immortal venom, Your Majesty," Tarah answered.

"But he’s bound to the Demon King," Mineah frowned. "Nikolai turning him would-"

She frowned as she stopped herself from saying anything about how Nikolai turning Zoran wouldn’t work if his life was bound to a demon. Then again, nothing was impossible for her... Surely there was a way. She wounded herself in Tarah’s vision, so her blood could probably be a way to save him somehow.

"We’ll find ways to work things out," Mineah casually remarked. "Yes. It will work, and we can save him. We must find out when that event will occur." She then turned to Tarah and instructed, "Please tell us the details of the surroundings, the weather... Everything for us to determine when that event would happen so that we can prevent it and save Zoran."

Taking her Queen’s lead, Dahlia got up from her chair only to bend down on her knees in front of Tarah. "Please, I beg you. He must not die. I want him to live and have a normal life," she begged.

"He deserves a good life! Please... Please, I’ll do anything just save him." She then turned to Nikolai and begged further. "Nikolai, please save Zoran. He’s not a bad person. Everything he did... It’s because of me. He would’ve had a good life if it wasn’t for me. Please save him."

Dahlia was openly weeping now, and Mineah was quick to grab her by the shoulders and pull her into her arms. "Calm yourself, Dahlia. We’ll do everything in our power to save him, alright?" she firmly stated.

Dahlia... She loved Zoran, and it was evident with her actions right now. She was in so much pain, and all Mineah could do was to let her sob in her arms as she stroked her back, hoping that it would give her some comfort from it all.
