The Bride Of Immortal Crown Prince -
Chapter 35: Parting
Chapter 35: Parting
Allynna walked towards her class but stopped when she heard a woman’s voice calling her name in an icy and sharp tone from the corner.
She turned around, and to her surprise, she saw a familiar figure standing there.
Allynna saw her best friend standing not far from her with her arms crossed on her chest and her hair scattered around her shoulder. Her face is darker. It looks like she didn’t sleep all night. This would be the first time she saw her in this state. She seemed so scary.
Allynna touched her chest as if wanting to calm her heart. After a few seconds, she said, "L-Lizzy, you scare me to death. What are you doing in the corner? My Lord...you look like a ghost."
"My Dear Friend Ally, we need to talk," Lizzy said and pulled her to the corner. She glanced at her watch before saying, "Well, we still have plenty of time. Tell me everything!" Since last night she couldn’t sleep thinking about the handsome man that Ally said was her family. She still doubts her.
And this morning, as soon as the sun shone, she went straight to school, waiting for Ally to appear. She wanted to see Allynna’s expression as she explained to her. Because she smelled, her best friend was hiding something from her.
Allynna dumbstruck.
"W-H-A-T! Didn’t I tell you yesterday?" Why did Lizzy suddenly ask again? She feels confused.
"Do you think I’m that stupid, Ms. Genius?" Lizzy folded her arms over her chest. Her eyes fixed on Ally as if she wanted to read her mind.
"My Gosh Liz!! I already told the truth. Why don’t you believe me?" She flicked Lizzy’s forehead and turned to walk to class. Leaving Lizzy, who was stroking her sore forehead.
When Lizzy saw Allynna walk away from her. She shouted her name and ran after her, "Ally, Wait for me..." but Ally ignored her and entered the classroom without glancing at her.
Allynna wasn’t in the mood to talk about Sir Leon. Now, she wanted to focus on her exams. Meanwhile, she will ignore Lizzy. Ally knows her friend will stop talking if she sees other friends in class. What’s more, in a few minutes, they will immediately start the exam.
After sitting in her chair, Allynna looked out the window. She saw the white sandy beach, the vast blue sea and sky lay before her eyes, so beautiful. It was a sight she saw every day, and she never got tired of praising this natural beauty. And, the sound of the waves somehow always made her feel calm.
She immediately felt a little sad because this would be the last time she sat in this class. And the last time she will enjoy the morning sky and beach on the island of Sarlun.
Without Allynna realizing it, all her friends were already sitting in their seats. And the supervising teacher had already entered the class. She sat straight and focused, ready to take her last exam as a high school student.
It only took her 15 minutes to solve her Math exam.
Math is a subject that she is very good at. Her classmate said she could do math problems even though her eyes were closed. She just laughs when she hears them praising her like that. How could she do that?
But she admitted that she was good at math. And in this empire, she beat every high school student in the math olympiad.
After she finished her exam questions, she did not immediately hand them over to the teacher. But, she waited for Lizzy and Helan to finish. She would say goodbye to them because today, she would fly straight to the capital.
Seeing Helan come forward to submit her worksheets, she glanced at Lizzy. After knowing that she was about to finish her test. Allynna followed Helan to submit her answer sheets as well and left the classroom.
She met Helan as she took her bag from the locker, "Helan, wait. Don’t go home yet. I have something to tell you and Lizzy." She said, confusing Helan. However, he didn’t ask anything but nodded and followed her to the park in front of the school building. Then they sat on one of the wooden benches.
It wasn’t long before they saw Lizzy exit the building. Helan shouted her name.
"Guys... What are you doing here?" Lizzy shouted back while running towards them.
Ally stood looking at her and Helan. Without wasting any time, she immediately said goodbye to them. Surprised her two friends with her words...
"Ally, you are leaving for the Mavaria this afternoon?" Helan asked. Ally nodded at him.
"Wow! Lady Allynna... you surprise me again, huh! Are you seriously leaving today?" Lizzy was really shocked. She didn’t expect her best friend to leave this island so soon.
She did know Ally would leave for Mavaria sooner, but somehow she felt sad when she realized that day had come. The day Ally parted with her. She thought she wasn’t ready to part with her best friend.
"Yes, that’s why I say goodbye to both of you now." She smiles at them. "Don’t be sad Liz, if you go to Mavaria, we will meet again... and you can still call me, right." She places her hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down. Because now, she saw her about to cry.
She also feels sad to have to part with Lizzy. Since childhood, they have always played and learned together. They saw each other almost every day, and she treated her like her sister. But now, they must separate. And that made her feel dejected.
"Liz, there is still Helan who will accompany you, don’t be sad, huh?" Ally tries to coax her. After a minute, she didn’t say a word. Allynna embraced her and patted her back gently.
"Yeah... Lizz, we can still meet Ally if we go to the capital." Helan was concerned to see Lizzy heartbroken.
After a while, Lizzy could control her emotions. She agrees with Helan and Ally. If she chooses Bells Royal University, she will meet Ally again.
Allynna finally said goodbye to her friend and walked towards the school gate in a hurry. She didn’t want to keep Geoffrey waiting for her too long.
